I fully appreciated the blanket and heaters that were brought over as it was a chilly evening, yet we were still "indoors" but not. Service was impeccable, with every member of the staff ensuring our experience was top notch and food met our expectations. I chose the slowly roasted beef ribs rice and was not expecting savory goodness that arrived! The beef ribs melted in my mouth and the rice was so incredibly flavorful - I would order this over and over again! Of all the restaurants I've been to, Figueira Rubaiyat has by far the one of the most extensive wine list I've seen, featuring many different wines from around the world, including Brazil of course! There is also a gift shop that should not be missed because of the very unique items that are found here - and a place I'll need to visit next time I'm in the area again! The entire experience is one that should not be missed. Every detail and every bite was absolute perfection!

I was literally still dreaming about it the next day; the food was really that good. Another standout dish was the braised short rib with sticky rice, a Brazilian specialty that was mouthwateringly delicious, with the beef and rice combo melting in your mouth. The toppings and sides were excellent as well. This was at an upscale restaurant, and the bill came out to half of what we would normally pay in the states. Food like this would cost at least two to three hundred dollars in California! For the price we are paying and the quality we are receiving, this is absolutely outrageous. I'd really like to see São Paulo's state government clean up its act and do more for the city, because there's no reason it shouldn't be a top tourist destination. I'm not much of a foodie, so it's nice having friends who are. You can just trust their recommendations and go along for the ride!!

I love several other Churrasacarias in São Paulo, but this one is a real standout. We had a group dinner with friends and coworkers, and we were led to a large table, and the staff fawned all over us. They were very accommodating and friendly. The food and wine were all top-notch, and they brought whatever cut of meat you asked for, instead of waiting for the "good stuff" like the Picanha. The salad bar was great as well, although I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have any Feijoada, which is usually a staple at any Churrascaria in Brazil. Again, there are several good Churrascarias here, but if you want the best, you won't get any better than Barbacoa!

Here's the thing: I don't eat steak, pork, or most of the meats they specialize in, and I'm not a big fan of buffet or all‑you‑can‑eat restaurants in general. We came here because a coworker invited us, and she was being really kind, so I didn't think to check the price beforehand. I ended up only eating the salad, and with dessert my total came to about $66. For someone who doesn't eat the main attraction, that price felt a bit high -- honestly, I felt a little ripped off, LOL. Not the restaurant's fault at all; this is exactly how churrascarias work. It just wasn't the best match for my eating habits. Next time, I'll politely turn down the invite or suggest a different spot that fits my preferences better. But if you do enjoy steakhouse-style dining and want the full Brazilian churrasco experience, Barbacoa delivers exactly what it promises.

Think they don't get too many Americans here, and they definitely rolled out the red carpet. All you had to do is look up, and one of the very attentive staff immediately noticed and were at your service. Would give the, 6 stars for service alone. Food: what a massive (and delicious) feast. The day were were there, they had only a feijoada buffet. Starts with a huge salad bar. On the side had a table with thinly sliced prosciutto, olives, and hard cheese. Servers also brought various delicious breads and sausages to table. Then the feijoada buffet. It's a traditional bean and rice dish, where you add various meat in sauce toppings. Too many different choices of meats, but I tried them all, except the pig ear. The owner stood by and made sure to offer assistance if needed. A true host. You can tell he is proud of his establishment and maintains very high standards. Even the chef (owner's son) came out to make sure diners were having a great dining experience. Then a massive dessert table. And everything was delicious. On top of that, the waiter brought a papaya fruit purée thing with a liquor added. Refreshing. Ambiance: a perfect blend of trendy upscale casual with old world charm. Clean, very clean, very nice, top everything. If you are in São Paulo, you must come here. Can't wait to come back.

This particular night was my first night in town. I was jetlagged but hungry, so I came by myself to have an easy dinner and some good meat. I have been here several times before, but I always enjoy walking in and taking in the ambiance of the restaurant. Something about Fogo. I was seated immediately and ordered a Caipirinha and the buffet. I waited for my drink, which was excellent, and then headed to the buffet, starting with the salad bar. I headed back to my table, trying to keep my salad to a minuimum as to eat more steak! I turned my disc over to green, and the meat started arriving. I love Picanha, but I know they always hold back, so I have to ask to make sure they bring it. As I ate, the place filled up, and I noticed that every table was full. I ordered another Caipirinha and started to get full, as one does, eating this much meat! I finally turned my disc back to red and asked for the check. Pricey by Brazilian standards, but still cheap to an American. Yes, there are many Churrascarias here, but this one never fails to impress.
