My trial Boundless session was in July 2025. I had just moved to OC and wanted to regain some muscle lost due to age. Until then, I was generally exercising about 2-3x/week on my own - 1/2 mile swims or 5-mile bike rides. Never had I ever touched a barbell. During my first Boundless session, unable to do squats with a 15-lb bar, I did body-weight squats with Coach Kevin's guidance. That first session (and the next several ones) left me extremely sore for the next few days; I was getting down stairs like a toddler. BUT, I was so happy that despite my various joint problems, I was able to even get so sore from exercising! Once weekly work-outs progressed (7 months later) to 4-5x/week. Coach Kevin (and Coaches Allison, Frank, and Mark) seemingly effortlessly scales various exercises based on my abilities and limitations. I can now back squat my body weight and for the first time in my 50+ years of life can do pull-ups. AND for some reason, I have even less joint pain compared to several months ago! Undoubtedly, this progress is less about my effort and more about Kevin's expertise in creating the work-out routines and his individualized coaching. The classes are outdoor. It's nice so you can get some fresh air. If you have any issues like back pain, Coach Kevin is very mindful and will give you an alternative exercise that is safe for you but you can still participate and exercise. I can't recommend Boundless gym enough. I love how its accessible for all ages and fitness levels. I always scale the workouts if I have any pain or mobility limitations but everyone really encourages you to challenge and push yourself. I have definitely surprised myself in what Im capable of and I definitely wouldnt even tried that weight or that movement if Coach Kevin and the other members hadn't encouraged me to. No egos, its just a great community of peers trying to improve themselves. The value of the cost is unbeatable, especially considering the access to nutrition consulting and nutrition challenges led by Coach Kevin. Now, I am about 195 pounds with better body composition, I feel more energized and I'm sleeping better. My experience at Boundless has been INCREDIBLE! I had amazing results from a one month team Nutrition Challenge. I lost 6.3% Body Fat and gained 5.9% muscle mass. I was already in very good functional shape when I first attended owner/trainer Kevin Vu's workout less than three months ago. The environment and community he has created will certainly push you to new physical limits, but more importantly, his complementary focus on meditation and yoga is an integral aspect that has completely transformed the way I view my fitness journey. You'll immediately feel welcome when you arrive, greeted by Kevin and the regulars. It feels like home the second you arrive. Then, you launch into meditation which allows you to settle your mind, address your distractions and wash them away. Next, he takes you through three rounds of a yoga series you'll pick up quickly which gets your body ready for the workout. Finally, you'll launch into the WOD (workout of the day) where Kevin will push you to better yourself, but not without making sure you alter your workout - if needed - to address any immediate limitations or injuries. I wish there was a way to take a before and after picture of my brain since I started Boundless over 2 months ago because it has changed tremendously. For years this is something, I've never really paid attention to because I thought it was enough to release all my stress with a crazy workout. I've been doing CrossFit since 2014 & have been accustomed to intense warm ups and workouts (which most of time gave me that nauseated nervous feeling before coming in). For years, I pushed myself beyond my limits and thought it was good enough. But I knew in my heart, there was something big missing. One of the major realization and learnings I had during this pandemic is how important mental health is. And Boundless has truly provided me the head space and clarity that I badly needed. I no longer feel anxious or nervous about attending a class because I know, I won't be greeted with some gnarly warm up. Rather, we start with meditation where I'm able to shut all the head noise, calm my nerves and give me that peace of mind. And then transition to yoga (which in the beginning was my least favorite), but have come to appreciate and enjoy because I've become more flexible (that I never knew was possible). The 3rd/last part of your 1 hour is the strength and conditioning. Such a variety of work outs, and will be adjusted accordingly to your performance/comfort level. Boundless is incredible. I love the holistic approach and how each session progresses from meditation to yoga, then strength & conditioning as last. It makes complete sense. During the 7 minute meditation, Kevin encourages us to take deep breaths and simply notice what is present. On most days my mind is too busy to notice but I am beginning to notice things like the sweet smell of the fresh air outside, birds chirping in the distance, and even things like the heaviness/lightness in my heart. So grounding. In Yoga, we repeat the same form (forgot what it's called) which allows us to focus on improving within. I can feel myself becoming more balanced, flexible and stronger through repetitions. After that, Coach Kevin explains the day's workout and purpose behind each workout module. He also goes over modifications based on our level. Kevin is calm but persistent, and the class vibe is amazing! Everyone is supportive. Finally, I am sure you can see in the pics, his mobile gym trailer is simply BADASS. Before coming to Kevin's class, I was feeling so fatigued and exhausted that I could barely wake up in the morning even after having slept for 8-10 hours. I guess COVID was a great excuse for me to delay working out until I found Kevin's outdoor fitness class (no longer had the COVID excuse)! I highly recommend Boundless! Coach Kevin is the best! His classes are exactly what I didn't know I needed. His incorporation of a guided meditation and a yoga sequence before working out is the perfect balance to overall health and wellness. I decided to try out Boundless after seeing a friend's post. I was a regular at the gym until the pandemic hit! After seeing that this was all done outdoors, I thought this was the perfect setup and I decided to check it out. I'm so glad I did! The meditation/yoga aspects are very new to me. I initially thought, how can we have a complete workout if we are only lifting/exercising for 30 minutes? Oh wow! I was surprised to see how much we can get it done in that timeframe. I don't even know how to start explaining how Boundless changed my life. It has had a tremendous impact on my lifestyle. When I started Boundless a year ago, I did not have any experience lifting weights. I was so intimidated by it that the thought of working out with weights terrified me.
