Everything was nicely organized and easy to find. Perfect for locating hard-to-find treats! The employee was friendly and pointed us towards varieties we asked about. They offered large bags AND individual pieces! Although the pricing is probably comparable to any Mexican grocery store (Fiesta, Michoacana, etc.), the variety and organization made things easy to spot, plus no lines! Haha. They had paletas, takis, churritos, chocolate, banderas de coco, tonssss of tamarindo, and those squeeze pelucas-thingies, etc. Left with this chúper cute little tamarind pot!!! Probably not going to eat it because it's too cute.

I mean, you have to be careful and look it over to see just how fresh it is, but it's a great option. It is clean, well-organized, and has a little of this and a little of that. Want bandaids? They have em. Want a puzzle? Yeah, that too. Want some snacks? Plenty to choose from. Make sure when you are buying food from the grocery aisles that you always check the expiration dates. I saw a great deal on mayonnaise, but when I looked at the expiration date, it was only two weeks out. Bummer. This dollar store also has a good selection of seasonal merchandise, so when Christmas and Easter come along, you'll be able to get some inexpensive decorations. Check it out and see what unexpected treasure you come up with!

The free ornament is always fun but the real deal is always in the store. I've been to Gene Allen's and don't really care for it much. There are a bunch of catty older ladies that seem to take a bit too much pride in their push button cash registers. The Hallmark Creations store has just what I need, don't care about the clothing and overpriced fudge. Just sell me a dollar card so I can get the "with purchase" discount on my keepsake ornaments. The people that work here are pretty nice, too. They often offer to help and don't tend to badger although there is that one. I come to this Hallmark only now.
