I found the Boulos website, and I was sufficiently interested to sign up for updates via email. The emails arrived. Often two a day. I clicked on the Unsubscribe button several times and was told, each time, that I'd been removed from their list. The emails continued. I replied that I would start to mark them as Spam. I've been going to Dr. Boulos for a couple years for several major procedures, including multiple dental implants and a couple of root canals, and he's consistently delivered outstanding work. He clearly takes pride in what he does, paying very close attention to detail so everything looks great, feels right, and holds up well over time. The results have been excellent every time. He and his staff also do a great job making you feel comfortable during appointments, explaining things clearly and checking in to keep everything as painless and low-stress as possible. On top of that, he's been incredibly responsive when things come up unexpectedly. He's fit me in on an emergency basis more than once, and has even responded personally after hours and on weekends during urgent situations. That level of care and availability is really rare and means a lot. The whole team is friendly, professional, and efficient. If you're searching for a dentist who combines strong technical skill with genuine care and responsiveness, Dr. Boulos is an excellent choice. I highly recommend him to anyone! read more

I was told that my insurance wasn't covered for a root canal that I needed. Only to find out that my insurance plan does cover a root canal. I understand it is my responsibility to know that and to check with my plan so I went wrong there. But that just seems shady to lie to a patient about coverage so you make more money. I had a decent experience overall but finding out the truth on coverage is frustrating. read more

I had a positive experience here earlier today, coming in to get a 6-month check-up and cleaning as a new patient (having moved to the area a few months back). One positive is that they take the Carington 500 dental plan, which resulted in the cleaning and check-up only costing me about $30 each. Dr. Boulos was very nice and efficient. He noticed a potential cavity on one of the xrays that had been sent over from my previous dentist and to confirm ran a couple xrays for free to check the teeth in question. Sure enough, he found a couple very small cavities that should be very easy to fill having been caught this early. Kudos, as he noticed something from xrays taken seven months ago from a different dentist who apparently didn't notice the cavity. I'll be going back in a week for the fillings and six months from now for my next cleaning. Overall about as good of a dental visit as you can have while finding out you'll need some fillings done. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Boulos for over 12 years. He and his staff are very pleasant, knowledgeable and skilled. He is caring especially for my 92 year old mother. He enters the room with a smile and inquires "how are you doing?" AND listens to my answer. He does a thorough exam and explains all necessary procedures. He puts me at ease and I am glad I found him and he will be my dentist forever. I recommend Dr. Boulos to anyone who needs a dentist. read more

They come off as friendly, but deep inside you could tell they are not enjoying their job which in return gives me as the patient and far from perfect visit. A huge turn off was that I purchased a year plan with them for almost $300 that would give me a certain percentage discount on the removal of my wisdom teeth, as well as 2 dental cleanings. It made sense at the time because i would end up saving money in the long run. well i got my wisdom teeth removed, and my first dental cleaning. After that they wanted me to reschedule, so i did. But months later when my appointment came up, they told me they wanted to charge me $175 for a dental cleaning because my plan had expired only a week prior. Long story short, they purposely set my appointment a week after my plan expired so i would have to fully (repay) them for a dental cleaning that i had already paid for. The doctor was in the back just watching me, not saying a word! They scammed me by making me pay for something that they never actually did. a doctor of that magnitude should never allow his customers to be hustled like that, RIGHT INFRONT OF HIS EYES! Extremely disappointing, I REALLY HOPE YOU DONT SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT WITH THEM. They will likely hustle you. I am an extremely unsatisfied customer! SHAME ON YOU! read more

We had a decent experience up until I received a voicemail the morning of my root canal from Jackie that if I didn't call them by noon my appointment would be cancelled because another patient had very bad pain well excuse me Boulos dental that's not my problem is it. Mind you I work overnights and luckily that I happened to wake up in time and after that appointment I cancelled the rest of my families appointment. I wouldn't recommend going here read more

Dr Boulos is great. Very respectful of your time. When a crown didn't fit quite right, he re-took an impression to make sure the lab got it right the second time around. Even gave me a credit for a future service not covered by insurance. Prices seem to be about 15% - 20% lower then other dentists I have found. He is open some Saturdays for us that don't get paid time off. No pressure to upsell any services. He prides himself on being a perfectionist. I found him through a Groupon and highly recommend him. read more

BEWARE of the UPSELL (Based on contemporaneous notes) Temporarily without dental insurance but in need of cleaning, I utilized a coupon for first-time patients which offered cleaning, bite wing x-rays and exam for total of $100. Boulos Dental's desk rep Lynn confirmed the arrangement when I arrived, and hygienist Marla said she knew I had no dental insurance. Despite that, while taking gum measurements early in appointment, Marla said I had 4- and 5-millimeter gaps and that scaling was necessary. She said this without undergoing further tests, stating other symptoms or discussing it with dentist Boulos. Notably, Marla said I would NEED to return to the office for the scaling; she did not offer it as an option and said nothing about additional costs. Absent that, I asked her about costs and she said Lynn would go over that before I left. I said I wanted only the regular cleaning, as scheduled, but Marla replied she might not have enough time because of lunch. Eventually, Marla invited Lynn into the room for further explanation. I told Lynn I had two concerns: that I might not need the procedure since my teeth are well-maintained and my gums are pink and rarely bleed. My second, larger concern was that Marla said hastily that I needed the scaling without seeking my approval or discussing costs - and did so while clearly aware that I had no dental insurance. Adding to my consternation, Lynn told me, when asked, that the procedure could cost as much as $1000. I said again that I wanted only the regular cleaning, and agreed to sign a "refusal of service" form. When Boulos arrived, he said my signature was required to protect him in case of a negative outcome and he supported Marla's claim that scaling was necessary. At one point, while I wrote notes, Boulos said, "What are you writing on your paper?" - a strange question with no apparent purpose. I was also told that x-rays revealed a cavity. Marla said I would get a treatment plan but I didn't, so I called later that afternoon and asked Lynn to mail me one. I received a statement several days later, and it offered an estimate for the scaling that I chose not to do. The cost: $660 total, or $220 for each of three quadrants that the clinic said was necessary without discussing costs until I asked. Most disturbing of all, on the bottom of the form was a handwritten note that read, "We would prefer that you would find a new provider for your dental needs." They said this well-aware that I behaved respectfully from start to finish and never raised my voice. While I wasn't going to return anyway, Boulos Dental's completely unjustified rejection of my service stunned me. Upon reflection, however, it shouldn't have. Their written dismissal of me was merely the last of a series of jarringly unprofessional actions. read more

I am so disappointed. The front desk staff are less then helpful. I don't think they could have been more rude if they tried. For someone who works customer service you would think they could tolerate people a bit more and have a more friendly attitude towards people. When I called the first time to set up an appointment the lady was very short with me and annoyed when I asked her for a different day 2x and for a later appointment. The appointment was made, than I get a phone call two days before my scheduled appointment to change it because "the schedule didn't fill up." Well, not my problem I have a day job and needed to come at a later time. Well she said it would be cancelled, so I made myself flexible and came in earlier in the day, so the others could conveniently leave "on time." (even though their hours state they are open until 5pm) Well my appointment rolls around, I try to get into the building & it was locked. So no worries I call the clinic to get nothing but a rude response from the overly not so friendly receptionist again. Well awesome - guess you don't want my business after all. Well some people left so I was able to get in. Well to my surprise (joking) I was greated by this ever-not-so-friendly receptionist AGAIN. Who was nothing short of rude. I will never be back, If I was Dr. Boulos I would re-evaluate my staff, I would never want this kind of person representing my company and everything I have worked for. read more

I've never gone to another dentist (I've gone to many for cleanings, including century college students), but I had one dentist my whole life. I changed due to dental insurance and my previous dentist was becoming of retirement age anyway. I was pleasantly surprised with my visits with Dr. Boulos and his team. His hygienist who did my cleaning was amazing and very gentle. I came back for some fillings and very gentle and talks you through things and even called to check up on me the next day to make sure everything is okay. Also, to note, I have tmj and cannot open my mouth very wide, but he worked around that and let me 'break' in between as needed. He even checked my tmj night guard/splint after to make sure it still fit with the fillings. He did suggest many treatments(teeth alignment, veeners/crowns, and deep cleaning), but at this time cannot pursue them due to money. However, that being said, his version of invisalign (not that brand) was WAY cheaper than my friends and relatives had gotten before. So, if you are looking for straighter teeth--check it out! So, someday I will get my teeth straightened by him. Also, someday I will have a crown or two put on by him. Like others have said he is on the lower end of cost for dental care and I greatly appreciate that for things that aren't covered by insurance (usually I do not have dental coverage). Dr. Boulos and team did a fantastic job. I was in their office for three procedures for three different teeth in one month's time. One of the procedures was a root canal. I expected to have much discomfort, however Dr. Boulos did such a prefect job on this and the other correction procedures that I felt little to no discomfort at all. Even the repair of an aged crown was handled perfectly. I highly recommend Dr Boulos and his team. read more

Dr.Boulous is very expensive and is not flexible with working with you, as far as payment plans. He also is very stingy when a patient is in a great deal of pain and he offers only a prescription of ibuprofen. I described to him after the procedure was done which was grueling, that for days I have been in pain taking I ibuprofen and Tylenol and said I was not sleeping due to the pain. The ibuprofen and Tylenol obviously was not working and usually a medical professional(especially a dentist) will prescribe a mild narcotic such as Vicodin. Thanks to the numerous people who doctor shop for this medicine, it's normal people like us that pay the price. He is not a good provider. I decided to move on from him and have now found a wonderful, caring dentist and am so happy. read more
