I have to write a review because the ratings do not represent this place well. Went to this place…read morebecause my brakes had been squeaking for a while and needed to get them changed. Called all local places and this place had the cheapest brake changes by far! At least $150 saved per axle at this place. They are very knowledgeable with vehicles and will not lie to you about what you need. They may say you will need go get your rotors replaced, like they told me. I understood why because I knew my brakes were squeaking for a while and I knew they might have to replace the rotors too. Getting your rotors replaced as well as a full brake change is still less than all other places in the Lafayette area. Would not go anywhere else for a brake change. 100% best place to go

The assessment and repair did not start until after 2 PM the next day and the rough estimate to over $800. I cannot praise Bertinot's enough! I will forever recommend them to everyone!…read more My car WOULD NOT START when I brought it in for repairs. I brought it to another auto repair shop and was told I needed a whole new engine, costing $7,300. My vehicle is 10 years old (very low mileage) so, of course, this was not ideal. Someone recommended to try Bertinot's. They were able to run the diagnostic the day I brought my car in and it was fixed by the end of the next day! I was informed of the issues and told it absolutely did NOT need a new engine. They spent time testing every issue to be sure the repairs were taken care of and explained every step. My car runs great and multiple repairs were done. The cost was only $1,028. For a vehicle not starting and an engine replacement recommendation, I never imagined the cost would go from $7,000 to $1,000! I have not had a single issue since and my car runs great. Attention to detail was obvious and customers best interest was very appreciated.

I had made an appointment for my tire rotation due to mileage as usual. I sat in the lobby for over an hour after checking in and giving them my keys. Then one of the employees comes to sit by me and ask if I was ready to buy new tires today. I told him no and would speak to my husband. He said he had discussed with the manager, and my warranty would not cover the new ones. He did agree that I had done a great job with coming in for my tire rotations. He kept pushing for new tires. Finally, he asked again if I was buying tires today, because they had some in stock and could put them on. When I told him again that I was not, and would speak to my husband, then he asked one of the employees to bring my car to the front. I had informed him more than once that I had another appointment I needed to get to. Then he finally proceeded to give me a handout with 3 estimates for 4 new tires as I had asked. Then I asked for my copy of the tire rotation that was completed (I always got one upon leaving with the mileage and the checks that were standard). He finally printed one out and then proceeded to tell me that they didn't do the tire rotation. They made me wait for about an hour and 20 minutes to let me know that they didn't do anything (no tire rotation--which is why I went and had scheduled), but try to get me to buy new tires, when my warranty was in place. These are very dishonest, underhanded, and pushy people. They didn't honor their own policy. I was flabbergasted at the lack of integrity and honesty at this place. I will never, ever buy tires or do any business with these people. I will also tell my family and friends, so they don't waste excess money and time with such dishonest people and company.
