It has been a quiet, clean, and comfortable place to live. The property is taken care of, parking is easy, and the location is convenient for commuting and everyday errands. The biggest difference is the management and maintenance. Jamie is responsive and easy to work with, and Gabriel takes care of repairs quickly. Issues are handled without having to follow up repeatedly. After reading so many apartment reviews where residents complain about poor management and unresolved maintenance problems, I have a greater appreciation for how Cliff View Gardens is run. I am only considering moving because my new job is too far away, not because of the property. Otherwise, I would be happy to stay.

I'm writing this review because I am searching for a new apartment closer to work and all I can…read morefind are terrible, terrible reviews and I feel as though when someone does something right, they should be acknowledged, not just those that don't. Cliff View Gardens does it right. I've only been living here for the past year, but I have to say that it is the cleanest, quietest, most convenient apartment I have even lived in (and I've lived in several). The only reason I am leaving is because it is a cool hour plus drive from my new job and I just can't do that every day between the time and gas. I first found out about it from my mother, who was already a resident. I was looking in the area and she suggested CVG as a potential, but I thought I would be priced out of it as I was looking for a 1br for around $1,000/month. I was wrong, this place is priced incredibly well for what you're getting. Let me describe it for you... When I first moved in, I already knew that they were working on the apartment to get it ready for me, but I didn't know the extent until I started to settle in. I always scrutinize each apartment I move into, take pictures, and catalog any potential issues that may come up when my lease is up to cover my a$$ - I was hard pressed to find any. It was obvious that they had cleaned the entire place, top to bottom, *before* painting and refinishing the floors. They had installed brand-new windows (this place really doesn't lose any heat in the winter or air in the summer, and if you get one of those foam dealies to slide under the front door, it's practically air-tight), a new vanity, new oven, new dishwasher, new sink (gorgeous sink) and re-tiled a portion of the bathroom (tub/shower area). My only complaint I could conjure was that whoever installed the face plate that covered the cable hook-up glued it to the wall instead of just screwing it into some mollies, so when Cablevision went to set me up, they ended up tearing a portion of the wall off. Also, some of the screens on the windows have small holes in them, nothing big, but holes nonetheless. As far as the grounds, I think that during the spring/summer/parts of fall the landscapers are there everyday - it's immaculate. The trash is never over-flowing, WasteManagement comes twice a week, I think, and there is a co-mingled recycling dumpster on each end of the property. There is tons of parking, and garages for rent. You never have to struggle to find a space, and there's usually a spot close to your entrance to not have to walk more than 50 feet or so. There are multiple laundry rooms, so there's never a wait, and all of the machines are modern and in good repair. The maintenance guys and management (Jamie) are very responsive and get back to you pretty much within the day. I had a problem with my water pressure about a month into living here and they fixed it the next day before I got home from work. Aside from that, I have not had a problem that even needed maintenance. Another plus is that the management doesn't really play games or try to cheat you out of your money - I feel as though I've always been treated fairly and I doubt that that changes from tenant to tenant. As far as the location, you can't beat it. Hackensack St. runs parallel to Rt. 17 (about 15 minutes south of the Garden State Plaza and 15 minutes north of Route 3/NJ turnpike) and CVGs location on Hackensack is about 5-10 minutes (depending on traffic and lights) from the entrance to Route 80, probably 20 minutes (no traffic) from the GWB. Pretty much any shopping you'd want to do is within 20 minutes, tops (Lowes, BJs, Staples, GSPlaza, Stop & Shop, Shop-Rite, restaurants etc) and all of the take-out places in the immediate area are pretty good (I recommend Hasbrouck Heights Pizzeria and Fujian for chinese and sushi). Also, and this is something that you really can't dismiss, there is a 7-11 right next to the development, so if you really need something but can't make it to the store, it's *right there*. The neighborhood is very good, as it's patrolled by a generous amount of police between Wood Ridge and Hasbrouck Heights. I'm comfortable enough leaving my windows open during the day when I'm at work - it's that cloistered and safe-feeling to me. Lastly, your neighbors are the best kind (in my opinion). They keep to themselves, keep chit-chat to "Hello"s, and all take care of the property like their own. Many of the tenants are seniors who have been here a long time and there are barely any (if any at all) children, so it's very peaceful. Also, the insulation and soundproofing between units is very good, you can really only hear the people upstairs if they are banging something very heavy against the floor - that's it. I know this is long-winded and almost too positive, but it's all true. Take my advice, check this place out - you'll definitely want to stay. I really would if it was closer to work. Thanks for reading!

Sooooo you…read morecan already tell I have good things to say. 5 stars doesn't seem to be enough for how helpful Alison was in finding me my next home. She took everything I was hoping to find in a new apartment and showed me all of my options. I was in a bit of a time crunch with just over a month to find a place before my current lease was up, I have a dog and have a pretty tough budget I was hoping to not exceed. All of that, in addition to me being extremely picky (as you should be with a decision as big as where you'll be living!!) led to a stressful search before beginning to work with her. She sent me numerous listings daily, didn't push me when I decided to pass on seeing some, drove me to and from most showings and, in the end, found me a fantastic place. I went from scouring Zillow nearly all day, every day, to finally being able to relax and feel assured Alison would see and send me everything that was available. Working with her was incredibly easy and I felt like I was going through the process with a friend the entire time. She is professional, kind and extremely patient. She was always easy to get in touch with either by phone or a text and answered every question I had. I couldn't recommend working with her more!

We selected him after meeting with a number of agents, as David was far ahead of the competition in terms of preparation, knowledge, work ethic and personability. He also helped us select contractors for pre-sale renovations, and was on site the whole time to manage the work (as we lived outside of the city). During the sales process, he was able to secure multiple offers within the first few days of showing (many of which were above our asking price, which he strategically guided us in setting). David and his team performed extraordinarily well and beyond our highest expectations. We would highly recommend him for any real estate sales projects.

Our broker wasn't helpful, just remarking that the pandemic has slowed everything down. We fired her and found David through a mutual friend. I'm so glad we went with him. David has a good eye for an apartment and how a potential buyer may perceive it. After a careful review, he established a strategy and a plan for going to market. David was straightforward with us and didn't beat around the bush - our apartment needed to be spruced up if we wanted to maximize our chance of a sale. He worked closely with us to find the right approach and ready the space for listing. The net result was that we had an all-cash offer, at our asking price, within three days of the first open house. Throughout the whole process, David was transparent and communicated frequently with us. This was refreshing, considering our past experience. His process is also consistent and repeatable. I recommended David to another couple who were looking to sell their home. David took the same approach and had the apartment sold within a month. Results speak for themselves. Thank you to David and his whole team. I strongly endorse and recommend working with David!

They came prepared and were very careful with our belongings and the building. I appreciate their patience and care with the things that were left to pack at the last minute. They efficiently placed boxes so we could navigate throughout our living space. I highly recommend this team to carefully take care of your prized possessions and transfer them safely and expeditiously to your new location. Anthony and his team were a big relief to moving day stress. It was a very affordable move. Thank you, Booth Movers!

I was charged nearly double what I was quoted and agreed upon. This was outrageous, I was sure there was a mistake. When calling to speak to someone about this I believe I was given the owners son. The owners son said the guy who did our quote was "getting old" and it "was just a quote". So you grossly miss calculated the cost and then charge the customer double? Nowhere in this phone call did this clown ever apologize and had the most smug attitude on the phone something I'm sure he would not have had we been communicating face to face. 2) terrible workers. The staff was also poor. When wrapping one of my tables the guy actually walked on the table ( table was upside down legs in the air, very long table and the guy walks from one end to other ON THE TABLE) I had to actually yell at this guy. They were not gentle seemed to be in a rush despite packing up a 5500 sq foot house, and overall lack of care was astonishing. I would get better performance from a group of highschoolers than what I was unfortunately presented with by booth movers. 3) damages to new condo To add on to the complete unprofessional and lack of skill labor booth has, they have damaged the walls throughout my house. Some deep scratches some surface level scratches. I've moved 3x in my life and every time I've never had one instance of a scratched wall. I get this can happen but given the rest of their abysmal performance this could not go unrecognized. I was too exhausted dealing with my fathers death and a plethora of other things to continue to entertain the clowns here decided to cut my losses and just let go, but let it be known to anyone else to use ANYONE else other than these guys. I'd the owners son or whoever that man was had even the least bit of customer service ability I'd be able to come to the conclusion accidents happen , but this guy was so condescending and so rude with a few other choice words I'll leave out I cannot NOT RECOMMEND this place enough.
