After being told all about the horror stories that happen at gyms, I'm happy to say that I haven't really experienced any of them (being stared at/judged, people refusing to clean up after themselves, no equipment available, etc.). Excellent location - highly recommended for anyone looking for a gym regardless of fitness level. FYI - this gym is located on the second floor of a building, and to get to the reception you need to climb a set of stairs (around 2 floors). Assuming you don't opt for the elevator for some reason, and you go to the gym 3 times a week, that is 300 extra floors per year you'll be climbing - just by going! Haha.

The interaction centered on the flag patch on my backpack (my national flag) and comments about my background, and it continued while I was trying to complete my workout. For context, I have worn the same backpack at this gym for over a year with no prior issues. Because I did not feel safe, I escalated the situation directly to management. The way it was handled left me feeling like I was treated as the problem for reporting it, rather than having the concern reviewed and addressed. My membership was revoked verbally. I was told it would be temporary and that the gym would follow up, but I have not heard from management since, and the revocation did not appear to be temporary. I'm sharing this as my firsthand experience so others can make an informed decision. Based on how this was handled, I would not recommend this gym to anyone who expects a respectful, professional, and safety-focused environment.

For what a yearly membership gets you, there is no question to the value. From access to a wide assortment of equipment for every need and fitness level, classes (which I'm a bit shy to try, but look great and engaging), to over washed towels, this is a great option for any one at any age range. Nautilus type machines are replaced and upgraded every so often, with countless free weights and items. You can also sign up for personal training sessions, which I am sure is also good value. I have been a member for a number of years, and appreciate the value, cost and no hassle of doing what you want. Some of the feedback I would graciously forward is the benches and the air. Personally, it would be great to either have a few treadmills with a blowing air option or stand up fans as with limited air circulation it can get stuffy very quickly (could be just me). My biggest gripe, which I may have suggested before, is adding an extra bench or two to the change rooms. It is a race to get changed, and the last thing we want is a ding dong and other miscellaneous items clogging the periphery. However, since the last week that I have been there so far it wasn't that bad as I expected. The gym is really big so there is still enough equipment for everyone to use. It would be preferable if they offered sanitizing wipes instead of the paper towels and spray bottles. The change room is decent but a little more cleaning should be done for the washroom. Since the gym is only a few years old, all the equipment still are in good condition. Overall, not a bad gym in the area. It has everything that you need for a good workout.

He cares about his students & takes his time to make sure that we are doing it correctly so that we don't waste our time and to ensure that we do not injure ourselves. He is very high energy which feeds off to the rest of us & we feel energy moving through us while doing his Combat & Pump class. Even before entering the group ex class & upon entering the gym, I am always greeted with a friendly and warm smile from Prabhjot! He always makes me feel welcomed, listens to any questions or concerns I have with care and he is just such a nice person to be able to see and interact with the moment I arrive at Goodlife. I love my chats with him! The one small complaint I have is the Recovery Room that has a couple of very good massage chairs in it. That room is always busy and it is very difficult to get access to one of those massage chairs. People don't care and will keep it on repeat even though they can see that others are waiting for the chairs. It would be cool if there can be a scanner attached to it somehow to start the machines based on your membership and can only be scanned a specific number of times within a certain time. I can't speak for any other areas in this location but I do notice that it is an extremely busy location during prime times such as after work.

goodlife fitness in unionville is honestly pretty solid. been going here for a few months now and i…read moregotta say its way better than i expected. first thing u notice is how big the place is theres a ton of equipment and its never too crowded even during peak hours sometimes u have to wait a min for a machine but overall its good. the treadmills are all in good shape and theres like a bunch of ellipticals and bikes too. the weight area is huge with plenty of benches and free weights. i also like the group classes they got some good ones like spin and hiit, i tried yoga once and it was okay the instructor was friendly enough. sometimes classes fill up fast tho so u gotta sign up early. they got a few personal trainers here too, seemed helpful when i watched some of them helping clients. the locker rooms are clean for the most part not perfect but decent. showers are fine, towels available if u need them. the front desk staff are chill, they always greet u but sometimes seem busy so might have to wait a sec. parking is okay got a decent lot but can get busy in the evenings. overall i like this location, its big, got good equipment, not too crowded and classes are fun. membership isnt cheap but you get what u pay for i guess. if ur in unionville and looking for a gym this is a solid option definetly worth checking out.

Lots of equipments, Exercise bikes, Elliptical machines, Tread Mills and various other Weight Machines and assorted Bar Bells and Dumbbells. The Change room could be a little crowded during preCovid peak times. Now days quite empty as most members have not yet returned to downtown. It also has a Yoga Studio, Group Exercise classes and a full size swimming pool on the top floor. Steam room and Whirl pool in both Men and Women's Change rooms. Although I have never been in the Women's Change Room. It also has a Health Clinic staffed with many Physiotherapist, Registered Massage Therapist, Chiropractors , Athletic Specialists and Personal Trainers! It has a 5 star restaurant attached with a gorgeous view of the lake and the city. You don't have to be a member to eat at the restaurant or visit the Health Clinic for Treatments. Membership is expensive though, I pay $200 a month for use of the gym and assigned a tiny cube to store my Running Shoes and some gym clothes. The bigger lockers are for day use only . You can request a tour of the facility to get a better understanding of the facilities. If you mention my name, you might get some freebies... I usually go there 3 days a week in early mornings and it's almost like my own Private Gym. 10 minutes walk from my office, so there is no excuse for me not to go and get Fit!

I liked this instructor as she wasn't too pushy or too pretentious (as is my issue with Yoga and I never really gave it a genuine go before for this reason). I was one of the first to visit this location during its reopening after the COVID-19 closure…read more The gym is fairly large with a good number of spacing between available machines. Employees were very friendly, clearly giving direction prior to and upon entering the gym (there are two lines - one for members who reserved online and walk-ins. Members who reserved a spot get first crack at the facilities.) Employees hold up countdown signs closer to the end of the hour and GoodLife promo screens do the same. All staff are required to wear masks and members are to wear masks when walking to one area of the gym to the other. To be on the safe side I brought my own Lysol wipes and wore my mask during my workout. Better safe than sorry. Despite the many signs asking members to wipe down equipment after use there were a few lunkheads who refused to follow the rules. Disgusting and selfish. All in all I had a good experience during my first workout since the shutdown. The gym is very orderly and workers follow strict protocols. Will be back.
