Staff is always friendly and helpful, instructors are extremely knowledgeable and exceptional teachers, and the crowd is always manageable (even during weekday evenings). After being told all about the horror stories that happen at gyms, I'm happy to say that I haven't really experienced any of them (being stared at/judged, people refusing to clean up after themselves, no equipment available, etc.). Excellent location - highly recommended for anyone looking for a gym regardless of fitness level. FYI - this gym is located on the second floor of a building, and to get to the reception you need to climb a set of stairs (around 2 floors). Assuming you don't opt for the elevator for some reason, and you go to the gym 3 times a week, that is 300 extra floors per year you'll be climbing - just by going! Haha.

Everything is laid out thoughtfully, and it never feels chaotic or overcrowded. What really sets this place apart is the variety of amenities. They've got a hot yoga studio, a cold plunge, and a 4-lane saltwater pool, which is amazing for recovery days. There's also a spin studio, a group exercise studio, and a dedicated HIIT training area separate from the regular equipment, so you're never competing for space. The basketball court that converts into pickleball courts is another big plus. It adds a fun, community vibe you don't usually find in gyms. The coaches and staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely supportive without being pushy. Whether you're a beginner or train seriously, the atmosphere is welcoming and motivating. One small improvement I'd love to see: keeping the gym open 24/7 for residents. With facilities this good, it would be incredible to have access at any hour, especially for early-morning or late-night workouts. Overall, an excellent gym with top-tier amenities and a great harbour location. Highly recommend.

I tried out the yoga lesson bright and early which was great as it felt more like a one one one. I liked this instructor as she wasn't too pushy or too pretentious (as is my issue with Yoga and I never really gave it a genuine go before for this reason). The locker rooms are nicely taken care of and the guests here do wipe down the machines after they use it. Also the fact that it's purple and yellow makes the gym extra cute! Six months later, my stomach still stuck out like a balloon and felt like it was not attached to my body. I looked haggard, like the ghost of a hungover potato. I started with my trainer Rahul in May 2024, and six months after that I feel so much better. I've lost 12 pounds, I am much stronger, my posture is better, my back rarely hurts, and my stomach has shrunk considerably and reattached itself to the rest of me. Rahul has taught me a lot about nutrition and continues to encouragingly remind me that if I don't consume enough protein and water, my fatigue will never go away. Think Twice before JOIN Goodlife -- DECEPTIVE BILLING & TRAP-LIKE POLICIES…read more If you're considering joining GoodLife Fitness, please learn from my experience and think twice before signing up. What happened to me feels like a deliberate setup to trap customers into unfair charges. Here are the facts: On December 8, 2025, I submitted an online request on Goodlife website to Temporary freeze my membership until April 30, 2026. My billing date is normally the 9th of each month (CAD $116.52), which is exactly why I submitted the request on the 8th -- to avoid being charged. From that date onward, neither I nor my secondary member ever visited the club again. According to information on GoodLife's website, a frozen membership should cost only $10/month. Yet here's what actually happened: * Dec 9, 2025: Charged $116.52 * Jan 9, 2026: Charged $21.04 * Feb 9, 2026: Charged $69.56 * Mar 9, 2026: Charged $69.56 This is completely inconsistent, confusing, and clearly not the advertised freeze fee. When I called customer service on March 24, 2026， instead of helping, they gave me a series of very complicated, misleading explanations trying to justify every charge and ultimately blamed everything on me. They refused to refund any of the improper charges. The customer service representative just kept repeating many times: "We are not pay-per-visit, and our charges are valid and correct." That's completely beside the point. Of course, I know you're not pay-per-visit -- if I thought you were, why would I be paying a monthly fee at all? Their "reasons" were outrageous: 1. You must submit a freeze request at least 3 days before the billing date. This requirement was NOT clearly disclosed during the online process. 2. Only my primary account was frozen, not the secondary account. There was NO clear option or instruction online to freeze the secondary account separately. Any reasonable person would assume both are included. You charge me 2-persong together and you freeze us separately? This feels like a deliberate trap to keep charging extra fees. 3. Cancellation requires 30 days' notice. Meaning they will continue charging you for another full month even after you try to leave. This is not customer service -- this is predatory billing disguised as policy. I was so frustrated that I immediately cancelled my membership on the same phone call, but even then, I believe they will still charge me again due to their 30-day rule. In summary be aware: * Hidden rules * Poorly disclosed conditions * Confusing billing structure * Refusal to resolve or refund * Policies designed to maximize charges, not fairness This feels like a system designed to take advantage of customers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I was in the exact same situation with another brand name club. At that time, I was able to temporarily freeze my membership, and later cancel it without any issues. The process was much simple, transparent, and straightforward. I have never encountered problems like the ones I am facing now. This inconsistency is both confusing and frustrating. If you value transparency and fair treatment, Think Twice before JOIN from GoodLife Fitness. There are many other choices out there.

Just recently signed up with GoodLife. I've gone to the different locations as a trial in the past…read morewith friends and have always enjoyed the cleanliness and availability of equipment. I chose this location as its relatively close to work. I normally engage in the fitness classes and incorporate free weights weekly in my routine. With that said, there's very little space to work around. Not enough benches around, both flat and inclining ones. Also, the stretching area isn't really ideal as its cramped up and if you're stretching during a spinning class, be prepared for a whiff of really stinky people (although good for you for working in a sweat!) There's not enough mats around to stretch either. They do have a good amount and variety of cardio machines so you never have to wait. All in all, at its peak hours it's not too crowded, but there's just not enough space or equipment so if you can avoid going during the lunch or after 5pm rush that would be my suggestion. If spatial re-arrangement of equipment could be done I would advise the team there so that there is more space and feel more equipment is available.
