Had officers waiting on a person of interest today and my wonderful dog ran up to greet them. They…read moredidn't shoo him away. Advised what his commands were they threw his toy a couple of times and it fell into a filled culvert. They tried to find it but it was in the muck and almost unfindable. Offered to even get him a new one. I climbed down and tiok.me a minute but found it and they helped.me up. Best introduction to Longmont I could jave hoped for. Thank you!!

In brief, I used the Longmont Police Department a 3xs in 2022:…read more Once, to report a tailgater who I stopped and confronted, who then shoved me and proceeded to follow me for the next 10 mins in his car. Until I stopped and ran back at him. The police analysis was I provoked him to get out of his car and push me when I stepped out. After handing over pictures of the assailant, his car and license place, the police follow-up said he denied any wrong doing. Would the outcome be the same if this involved the officer's daughter? The 2nd, was a guy who yelled at me that my parked car was in his way. While moving it he followed in his car. While parked and calling the police to report being followed, the guy walked down the side of my car and punched me twice through the open window. I gave the police a description of the man and car. And said I believe he lives in the surrounding neighborhood. The police could not locate him. I found him 2 weeks later and verified it was him doing a "door knock". I notified the police of his address. They reported back that his car and he did not match my description. They refused to take any further action. Even when I told him he can be heard/verified in the background of the phone call reporting the incident to the police. The officer at the time said "I got into an altercation"; no further investigation is necessary. He refused to pull and review the recorded call for a voice match. The 3rd, I left a msg with the Police "Complaint Board" about the 2 above incidences being improperly investigated. (If I recall correctly, the "Complaint Board" and Police Sargent are one in the same.) To date, no one has called me back from the "Complaint Board" nor the "Sargent". Would I use them again? NO!!!!

This is the county office where you get and renew tags for your car. It is not the state driver's…read morelicense office. The staff here is very efficient, with an automated number system for service based on the type needed. For simple renewals, including getting replacement tags, it almost always goes very quickly. Since we have had some issues with leaving anything of value in our porch mailbox, I usually renew in person here, as I am in the neighborhood of the office regularly and I do have the time. Just don't come in the first or last days of the month when it is the busiest.

This is the DMV location for vehicle registration and license plates. My experience with living…read morearound the country is that most DMV's do not offer the best customer service because we all have to go there so what's the use? It was very refreshing to not have to prepare myself for that "usual" experience. The rep that I worked with was polite, patient, and seemed to enjoy her job. Maybe its the fresh air or the scenic mountains that sets everyone at this branch at ease, but I'll take it! A few tips: 1. Show up within the first hour if you can carve out time (between 8-9 AM). You will virtually have no wait. 2. There is a computer when you first enter where you must select the reason for your visit. It will spit out a ticket and when they're ready they'll announce the number on the ticket. 3. They do accept credit cards, checks, and cash. Beware: they upcharge about 2.7% for credit card use. 4. As with most DMV's come prepared: be sure to have insurance, proof of residence, ID, etc. Otherwise you'll be turned away. For proof of insurance you can show an insurance ID through you cell phone.

It was that time - to not only renew my license but also get a new photo…read more By scheduling my appointment a day ahead & confirming what I needed to bring with me (info is on their website) I was sure I was in for a quick visit. They even sent me a reminder text and email confirmation to show the check in employee. Upon arrival to the office I was 4th in line to enter (I got there about 5 minutes before my 4pm time slot). Some of us had appointments others questioned whether one was needed. Mind you there was a large sign just outside the doorway with a scannable QR code to make an appointment. The office was chalk full of people standing in line to speak to clerks and sitting. After checking in I sat down with my assigned number on a little piece of paper. I wish I'd packed a book as I was waiting for over an hour just to speak to the clerk. I must say I expected a lot more from my fellow Boulderites. Everyone I overheard said no to donating their organs and no to donation $1 to support organ donation awareness. When I finally made it up to the clerk I asked to be an organ donor and donate a dollar. They told me they had already gone by the screen to add my dollar donation. Sigh. I had the option to pay via card or cash. After confirming there was a processing fee for paying via card (which I did not hear them tell people about) I paid via cash. Next step was to wait on the other side of the room for my photo. This only took about 5 minutes. When I got up to take my photo they gave me direction on head positioning etc. Which was honestly a bit of a bummer (double chin in full effect in my photo) since I'd studied some online guides for how to get a good pic. At least I was able to show my teeth - unlike in a passport photo. They said my new license should arrive in 7-10 days. They weren't however sure if I could fly with my temporary license and old license with a hole in it. They advised I call my airline. All in all the employees were friendly. And while the wait time is less than ideal the experience is a necessary inconvenience.

Today I go up to renew my license and followed what the directions said. They moved. Don't know when dont care when. A manual drawing with the new location would've been acceptable.
