GTFO!
Bob N.

Short and simple. One star because that is the least amount that I can give. Great selection of import/craft beer, but the prices were absolutely ridiculous. Be sure to check the use by/born on dates. They're selling Christmas been in September, which makes me think that they are quite aged. During checkout, the clerk broke one of my beers while bagging. As he tried to put the foaming beer back in to the container and send me on my way, I said, "I'll just go grab another...". I came back with the single replacement and he made me go back to get the full 6 pack. Then he had to call his boss to let them know that he broke a beer. Trust much? While waiting for the whole ordeal to transpire, I watched the same employee tell a young couple walking in the door to leave because the woman walked in with a purse. They didn't come back, and I can't say that I blame them. As a result, I won't be back. I've read other reviews here on Yelp, and they have been solidly bad for the past five years. The fact that they are still in business makes me think that they are just a money laundering front.

Holiday booze

This store is on my way home, so i stop by from time to time. It's tight in there, every available spot is filled with liquor. Their volume buying is what makes their prices better than most booze outposts. Their selection of firewater is vast and not your usual suspects. Of course they have all the favorites, but it's their selection of local booze and beer that draws me in. I can get my sunshine moonshine from here instead of driving to Ybor, for local made rotgut. I don't need help in a liquor store so customer service isn't a priority for me, just ring it up and I'm gone. I'll keep coming back for their great selection of random local breweries and distilleries. Do yourself a favor and just swing by and check out the prices.

Nice selection of cider... if they kept track of expiration dates of their stock. Pretty disappointed after being presented with a selection I haven't seen before. Doc's Draft labeled best by 2016, come on guys! :/

Attention Citrus Park / Carrollwood shoppers.... there is a new liquor store in town, and it's definitely worth checking out on your next shopping trip along Gunn Highway! Bottle Rack has opened in the former Sonny's BBQ restaurant building across the street from the Super Wal-Mart along Gunn Highway at the corner of Anderson Road. Bottle Rack used to be located elsewhere in Carrollwood, but moved into this location a while back. Bottle Rack is still settling into the former barbeque restaurant, so expect to see workers stocking bottles onto the shelves. A section of the store is still hidden behind a sheet of plastic, and I suspect that this is being converted into a storeroom. But no matter as you'll find plenty on the shelves to keep you busy. As you walk through the doors, the area to your right is rows and rows of liquor bottles. Every conceivable type, brand, size, and color of label is stocked on their shelves. To the left are the rows of wine, and though the selection is not as robust as other Bay area wine shops, you'll be hard-pressed not to find a bottle of vino to go with dinner. Across the back wall of the Bottle Rack store are the shelves of beer - all the well-known big brands as well as dozens and dozens of craft beers. I like the fact that in addition to buying pre-packaged 6-packs of many different beers, you can also buy individual bottles and build-your-own sampler 6-packs. Go ahead and mix up Dogfish Head, Harpoon, CCB, Shock Top, Magic Hat, and Leinenkugel. In the front of the store you'll find their humidor with a nice selection of cigars, and behind the counter are all of their airplane mini bottles. Prices seem reasonable, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Blantons Bourbon

Blanton's is normally a bourbon that retails for $60-$70. The secondary market is $100. This guy is a complete clown who price gauges his customers. My favorite part is when you ask for a price on an item behind the counter and the reply is " You get that beer at $25 but only if you spend $50 in the store." I am amazed everyday this place stays open How?????

First time in and my wife wasn't allowed to bring her purse. Really? I guess they didn't want our business. We will never be back.

This store is awesome. They host paint nights and serve samples of alcoholic slushies and any bottle of wine they sell. That's right! Like the look of something but don't want to buy it, take it home, and end up hating it? Ask them for a sample. Everything is open bottle. So convenient! One lady told me that the mall even allows you to sip your slushies in the building, because they're inconspicuous and contain about the same alcohol percentage as a beer. And, let me tell you, they are tasty! They have a Grinch-themed one for Xmas right now. :) Unquestionably, my favorite thing about this place is their discounts! The first time I purchased from here, I got about 15% off the two bottles I purchased. This time, when I asked for a discount on two $15 bottles of wine, the staff member reminded me that they normally only give case discounts, buuuuuuut she'd only charge me $10.95 for each bottle this time. So I bought four. Now that's a great deal! I highly recommend stopping by this shop if you're looking for interesting liqueurs, wines, beers, paintings, gifts, and even some Game of Thrones-styled merch.

Sometimes I go to the mall to spy on my teenager who is there with his friends. You know what I always look forward to? Sangria slushees from The Winey Wench. You can get them in multiple sizes and strengths. Extra shot? No problemo. The Winey Wench has got you. Try before you buy. They'll give you a sample. The store front also has a variety of wine to take home. I appreciate the knowledgeable staff, for the most part. I'm not going to remove a star for the new girl. She's grumpy. No smiles. No help, but she poured my slushee like a champ, so I'm good. Grumpy McGrumperson might have just been having a bad day. She needs a wine slushee. This is the only store in the mall where I can feel a confident, solid five stars are in order. No questions asked. It pairs nicely with some Godiva chocolate at the other side of the mall, and bonus. You're working off your wine and chocolate calories by that walk.

It is quite chill and laid back. Take all the time you want to booze or do a quick dash, both work fine. I believe the cashier is the owner/manager, ask him anything about liqueur, wine, beer... he has the answer. I also really appreciate that when I come in he always tells me about specials, sales & closeouts. Pricing isn't too bad. Some items tend to be a bit higher than say the sale at Walgreens or Winn Dixie. I have been able to find more than a few great bargains here, as well as some items I can't find at other locations. Easy access. What's a girl to do? Stop into the closet liquor store around or on the way home.
