Elisha is THE BEST Esti in all of San Diego! I have been a long time client of hers and I stopped…read moregoing to her for about a year and that was the worst decision I made! I started working at a spa during that time so I thought to get my facials done there to enjoy the perks (which are nice) but there was absolutely no comparison to Elisha and skincare products she carries. I made it a priority to get my skincare regimen back up to speed this year and asked her if she'd take me back. She gladly took me in that week and my skin looks and feels incredible! I'm so happy with the results and I won't ever leave her again. I have scarring from teenage acne and she's the only esti who's been able to combat it! Elisha is very thorough with extractions and removing blemishes, which I LOVE; yet, her approach to healthy skin is to focus on building the new skin instead of just washing your face and getting you out in one hour. I know I'm a client that usually takes her almost 2 hours to work with but she doesn't rush through your appointment and really gets all the gunk out! I signed up with her annual membership plan so that I can take advantage of the cool perks like getting a spray tan with my purchase, but more so to take accountability in staying on top of my facials. If you don't believe me, here's a picture after just two treatments about 3-4 weeks apart. My skin continues to feel epic and I'm actually enjoying my skincare routine mornings and nights. So fresh and so clean! I'm currently on a regimen using both Image and Osmosis products. Tell her Barbara referred you and you will fall in love (and maybe asleep) with her facials! Five star quality service - hands down!!!

Lots of places don't have time slots that work for 9-5ers like myself. Anyway, parking can be a bit challenging in that area near the beach, but I found a spot close by. I was warmly greeted at the door. The lobby area has a large wall of products for sale. Also, there was cute artsy jewelry to look through. There is also a relaxing lounge to wait in, but I didn't have to wait at all. They were ready for me, even though I was a few minutes early. I don't remember the name of the person who gave me the facial, but she was great. She asked me a few questions about my skin. She also made some simple conversation in the beginning, but then was quiet so I could relax. I really liked the different masks and products they used. I felt like my skin was soft and hydrated at the end. The stuff smelled great too! I also like that I didn't feel pressured to get additional treatments or to buy anything in the end. The only thing that was a bit disappointing is that from the questions asked, I didn't really feel like they reviewed that questionnaire that you fill out before I come in. Maybe they did, but forgot some things. Regardless, it did not take away from my experience

I did not want to have to write this. I've been a loyal client of Therapy since 2014 and was…read moreunderstanding when prices went up a few times, especially since everything else has gotten more expensive. I believed the new owners were using the extra funds to upgrade the spa, buy new equipment and pay employees better, at least according to their emails. Sadly, there's been a rapid decline in the business. The spa now looks dingy and neglected, and there's a foul odor throughout. The quality of facial and massage services dropped so much due to the constant turnover that I had to stop coming altogether. I had been seeing Chelsea Bowman and the master facialist Ami Sheneman for years. Both left, and no one contacted me to let me know I wouldn't be seeing them for my next appointment. I only found out when I showed up and discovered I'd be seeing someone else. The new girl Kendall, bless her heart--she tried her best, but it just wasn't the same. On top of it when I asked the girls at the desk where Chelsea and Ami went, each time they looked scared and uncomfortable answering. For anyone wondering where Ami went: I found her! She's now at Pier to Point down the street at the other end of Voltaire. I've already been there and signed up for multiple memberships. I highly recommend you do the same. It's such a shame about this spa since it's been part of the community for so long. Edit in response to the owner's comment: Thank you for your response. I want to clarify that my review was written in good faith based solely on my personal experience as a long-time client of your spa. I did not create my account with any intention of coordinating negative reviews or promoting a competitor. I have never had a Yelp account prior to this, which is why it is new. I've also never left a Google review prior to this either. My intention was to share my honest disappointment about the recent changes and lack of transparency when my preferred practitioners left, which significantly impacted my experience. I understand privacy policies, but as a loyal client, I felt it would have been more considerate to inform me prior to my appointment that my practitioners would no longer be there, enabling me to make the decision if I wanted to see someone new or not. This would have allowed me to cancel, so I could continue my services with the professionals I had established trust with. I stand by my original review and hope future communication with clients will be handled with greater openness and respect. Thank you.

Anyway, I found a convenient appointment in the late afternoon. Parking was easy, as there is a lot of free street parking nearby. When I entered, there was only one person working, as it was a small but cute space. They had a lot of skin care products displayed, and the waiting area looked comfortable. I was a few minutes early, but she was able to get me started right away. I thought the person who provided my service was very nice and acted professionally. Unfortunately, I thought the quality of the service was a bit lacking. She looked at my skin and said that I needed an enzyme mask, which was fine. I go to get facials so that someone else can take care of me and use their expertise. Anyway, she first did extractions. I counted and she did four... only four. I thought is was strange for a spa that states that they specialize in acne, and I had said that I wanted help with oily skin. Then she put the enzyme mask on and left for about 20 minutes. After that, she returned and did an arm and shoulder massage. It was very relaxing However, I really didn't want to come for a massage, I came for a facial. All in all, I felt that the hour -long service did not include a lot of skin treatment. The place was cute and comfortable, the experience was relaxing, but I don't feel I got much in return for the $115 price tag. I was hoping for more of a skin care experience.

I was mainly interested in checking her out because A) I can walk there, and B) while I had a fine experience at my first Botox session, the results admittedly did not last long at all, and I was back to being Frowny McElevenhead wayyyy too quickly. Pretty disappointing. So I set up a session with Andrea at Bellezza about a month ago (super easy to book through the Jane app) and was truly blown away by everything about the experience, from her super sweet "bedside" manner, to her knowledge about all things Botox, to her injecting skill (my first session was a little jarring, this one was absolutely pain-free), to, of course, my results. WHICH WERE AMAZING, A+, NEVER GOING BACK, I LOOK FANTASTIC. Honestly, I thought maybe Botox didn't "work" on me after my first experience, but it turned out they were just a bit too conservative with the units, and only injected into one area, which isn't as effective. As Dr. Marr pointed out, all the forehead muscles work together so obviously, obviouslyyyyyy, you need to treat the whole area holistically to achieve the look you're going for. I can't recommend Dr. Andrea Marr at Bellezza for your Botox needs enough - she gave me exactly the results I wanted, and delivered them professionally and compassionately. Won't be trusting my wrinkles to anyone else.
