The first time I came to Botanica El Indio was with my mom a few years ago when she was having issues and she got a reading and a cleanse from Sal. I found everything interesting but I really did not understand everything that was going on. I just know that the place was packed with friendly staff and clients with interesting personal stories. And you know that when a business is packed, that means that whatever it is that they're selling must be really good. It is now a few years later and I tagged along with my brother this time for a reading because he was facing obstacles in his life. After his reading and cleanse he was an entirely different person but in a good way. He looked refreshed and stress-free. I asked him what did Sal tell him but my brother wouldn't tell me. He just told me that he now knows what was blocking him and what he needs to do. He told me to get my own reading. I thought about it for a minute. My grandmother has been here before for an amazing reading. My mother swears by Sal. And my two brothers were extremely happy with their readings. So what's to fear? Right? I went for it! Although I am still young and my life experiences are not very deep, my reading was equally amazing and i now have clarity and direction in my life. I really was lost as to what I wanted to do and how I wanted to go about doing it. Or even who I should be doing it with. But now everything is amazingly clear! My family has now made me part of the El Indio family. I am very grateful for Sal. It was worth the wait. Thank you so much! read more

I'm writing this so no one else falls for the same trap I did. Salvador Gata at Botánica El Indio is a smooth talker and a complete charlatan. Here's exactly how his scheme works: Step 1: He does a reading that sounds deep and convincing. He makes you believe he sees your situation clearly. Step 2: He says he needs money to perform a spiritual "job" for you. You pay because you want help. Step 3: Then he tells you that before the job can work, you need several cleanses. Each cleanse is $100-$150. You pay again. Step 4: You wait. Nothing happens. When you follow up, he says you need more cleanses. And more cleanses. And more. I followed this cycle for over a year. Every time I paid, there was another excuse, another cleanse required, another delay. The original job he promised? Never completed. Not once. When I finally asked for proof that any work had actually been done, I got vague spiritual excuses and pressure to pay for yet another cleanse. He takes advantage of people who are genuinely struggling and looking for help. He strings you along as long as you keep money coming in. But he never delivers. Do not trust Salvador Gata. Do not give him your hard-earned money. If you've already paid him and feel stuck - walk away now. He will keep taking and never give you what you paid for. Save yourself the time, money, and heartbreak. Go elsewhere. read more

First, let me start off by saying that Sal is really good at his readings but all he cares about is taking your money. He will get you to believe that his jobs and cleansing are good because his reading was very good. Everything about this place is bullshit. Please save your money and find somewhere else that will really help you. I can guarantee that the positive reviews on this page are friends and family that he asked to do this, because people have figured out what a joke this place is. Once Sal does your reading, he will be very persistent and recommend a lot of cleansings, especially if he knows you have money. If he sees that you do not have money, he won't even bother with you. But he will continue to give you the runaround with the progress in your cleansings if he sees you have money. The "trabajos" they say they do are a joke and don't even get me started with the cleansings. First off, the assistant that works there with him I believe his name is noises, is very rude and obnoxious and seems to be his boyfriend. Any day you go here, you will see a group of people there that seem to be the assistants family that run that place. The cleansing's are not actual "limpias", they just throw some waters on you and pray over you and say that they're getting rid of all the negative energy and witchcraft that you have on you. If you have ever had a real cleansing before at a place that helps you, you will quickly realize that this place is nothing like that and should be shut down for sexual misconduct. During the cleansing, he likes to touch women's breast and butt area or men's penises and say it's part of the cleansing. Absolutely not. He will continue to recommend and say that you need additional cleansing, but it's all for the money. If he were truly helping you, you would see the changes in your life. There's no way you can continue to go every week and see absolutely no change. Do yourself a favor and find a Brujo or bruja that will actually help you. Blessings to all. read more

I've always enjoyed the professionalism, integrity and insight that I have received when I visit Sal. He's a very gifted and experienced individual who truly wants the best for his clients. The services that he provides can be life changing, encouraging and uplifting. I can remember being nervous the first time I visited him but after talking with him he gave me a sense of being a kind hearted, straight forward person. I'll continue to support him as he has helped me in many areas of my life. read more

Salvador is the best there is. His love of Santeria and for his clients shows in the quality of work he does. From the quality of ingredients he uses in his baths to him making time to listen and answer any burning questions you have during the work he performs. I advise anyone looking for a spiritual practitioner to be open minded, patient and have faith in the work you sought out. Slow and steady always wins the race for a job well done. You cannot rush Devine timing or Devine justice. If anyone guaranteed timing for their work, you should run! Salvador's work goes hand in hand with his baths. You feel so good after your cleanse. Every cleanse I had was like shedding layer after layer of darkness that was on me for many years until you feel lighter and refreshed. It helped me energetically to attract the things I desired out of life such as a happy family, money and Devine justice from my enemies. Every cleanse you will pull back a layer and feel better. I have seen results in my situation and made even better progress in life since working with Salvador. Salvador's work is permanent, he will get the job done. I've had other people take my money and make false promises and saw no results before Salvador. Be clear with your intentions, have faith, trust the process and believe Salvador when he tells you what he's doing on your behalf, because if you don't...your doing everything in vain. That's how I was successful. read more

Exceptional reading! Told me not only names that were confirmed but told me very specific events that no one else knew. Salvador is the real deal! Funny and down to earth!. I really enjoyed my reading and was blown away by some of the things he said. Pricing is very fair. I highly recommend getting a reading. I will be back! read more

I had an Amazing Experience when I went to see Salvador, I went for a reading , I was greeted by this beautiful lady and then I waited not long I had I believe and excellent reading and on point Everything was true and accurate And Salvador is a true professional Spiritualist, polite and such a great healer And then I went to get a cleansing Ever since I have been going my life has improved And I have been flourishing I highly recommend Salvador and this Botánica And I believe he is one the best spiritualist in the world read more

Salvador has guided me through difficult times over the years. I truly appreciate his guidance and highly recommend him for readings. He will tell you like it is. Salvador is a truly gifted reader. He does private readings by appointment. read more

His reading a good but after he's done he will tell you to do some work (trabajo) and after you pay him for the work he ask you to get cleaning or cleansing done. After you pay him they become rude and don't even answer your calls to see the work. He doesn't even send you pictures or nothing to prove he's done the work for you. Most Brujos do the job with you or next to you. Please DONT pay over $2k to this man that at the end he ghost you after you pay him. He's a scammer and he keeps changing his phone number. read more

He's the real deal. I couldn't stop but smiling when he called out every name, every event and thread that connected my life's timeline. I knew from God immediately I had come to the right person. Thank you for giving me my closure today, Sal. I left feeling like I healed spiritually and restored parts of my roots. I will most definitely be returning! read more

While doing the "reading" he was instantly assessing my body language and all I can say is that he is not a psychic reader, but good at interpreting my reactions to what he said. And he was asking A LOT of questions (instead of the other way around). I expect a psychic reader to explain things to me, not ask me questions. I amended my initial negative review after he threatened me with a cryptic note "I'll be sending you many blessings." Creepy dude. Stay away. read more

PLEASE DO NOT WAIST your money with this SCAMMER! His jobs are FAKE. He would ask A LOT for his "jobs" and AFTER you pay have paid him; he tells you, "Now, you need cleanses every week ($175) per week FOR MONTHS, a minimum of 4 MONTHS OF WEEKLY CLEANSES, if you want the job that you HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR TO WORK". So, basically he wants at least $2,100 dlls EXTRA to whatever you have already paid him for the job if you refuse, HE DOES NOT GUARANTEES THE JOB YOU HAVE PAID FOR (which is expensive of course $700 and up) and his cleanses are all made with ingredients from the dollar tree, I'm not even kidding. read more

Salvador is amazing! Genuine,Kind and REAL! There are alot of psychic/readers out there who just want your money. The minute your reading is done, so are they! Done with you! Until you buy more time. Salvador is nothing like that. Yes, you do have to pay for a reading, BUT Salvador WILL keep in touch with YOU. He will drop you a line or even just a phone call to see how you are doing. He does NOT treat his clients like just another number. Salvador genuinely does care about people and I admire that very much about him. I highly recommend Salvador Gata. If you're in the Los Angeles area, definitely stop by the shop. Check it out for yourself! read more

Sal's words came true in a very uncanny manner. I was very stunned by how precise his description matches the actual event occurred. Things I thought were random and far fetched during the consultation happened just as he predicted. After that event, I've been back for some more cleaning sessions and it's helped a lot. Although the wait can be quite long (people know it's worth the wait), there's a sense of community in there and everyone's very supportive and keeps the atmosphere very positive. I never felt hurried during a consultation or a cleanse and he takes time to listen and take care of you. Thank you Sal for you love and support for helping me through a tough time and gettinge to a better place. In short: Sal's the real deal, highly recommended. read more

I have been going to Sal for the last few years! what I like about Sal is that If I do not need anything he is straight and honest with me. When I have needed a Cleanse he has used products from Miami and Items from Africa I have seen his products sold in other Botanica's and their suppliers. Not cheap at all. so I know that his price is pretty fair and his Herbal Baths! what is there to say when I do not get a cleanse I will always order one of his herbal baths. Especially right now that It will be the birthday for Ochun! I will be ordering one of the baths and Candles! she is the saint for love and money. Every year made me the bath for this saint and I have always had money and love I can honestly say that my life has been truly blessed with the help of Sal read more

For Salvador alone, the wait is worth it. Granted, it tends to be a wait of at least 4 hrs (if you're lucky), but the information that I acquired has proven to be beneficial to me. Unfortunately, you do get to wait around individuals who may not be as patient, and that kinda energy is charged and contagious. Make sure you bring some headphones and a good book to disconnect (...or reconnect?) yourself in the meantime. Oh! And please please please for the love of your children (if you happen to have them)-- don't bring them along to sit for an ungodly amount of hours while you wait for your turn. That's borderline child abuse. read more

There's no other place like this... From the reading to the cleanse, everything was very welcoming. Sal told me names and things that no one else would know and not only that, but he has this family-like energy about him that makes you very comfortable and welcome. I highly recommend checking this place out!! read more

I met Sal years ago at a concert, he gave me his buisness card and months later decided to give him a visit. Sal has an incredible gift, here is the kicker, if you're a non beliver and feel that it is impossible to have someone tell you about your past present and future Sal will blow your mind away. He is truly gifted, I would reccomend you pay him a visit if you need answers, assurance, or maybe some clarity. Sal has long wait lines and I have met people who travel from other states to meet this guy. When you meet someone who has the gift to give names of people around you or people coming into your life, it blows your mind. I had not seen Sal in years and he is always spot on, no guessing. I'm glad I met Sal and even though I sometimes don't like to hear what he says, he is the real deal, because he is accurate. read more

This was some experience! I was really nervous at first because I've never done anything like this. But, a friend highly recommended I visit and I'm glad I did. The wait wasn't that long. As I waited, I just calmed my nerves. By the time I saw Salvador and we began to chat, all nervous feelings went away. I was enlighten by what I told and I plan to return soon. Thank you. read more

Salvador is the best psychic ever. He told me everything that was going to happen in my future in detail. Readings are the best! He tells you the exact names of the people that you are going to meet and when and what is going to happen before they even happen! He tells you what is going on with the current people in your life and what is going to happen with them ! He told me everything it is crazy how he knows everything ! I recommend going to him for sure! I am going to pay for my New Years reading next week he is the best and I can't wait until he reads me! Due to the pandemic he is currently reading over the phone but he is still the best! Hurry and book he fills up fast ! read more

Sal is absolutely one of the most AMAZING readers you might ever come across. He takes time with all of his clients and he genuinely wants the best for them. I was completely shocked by how accurate he was with my reading but not surprised since he has such a great reputation for the quality of his work. I love his positivity and his great energy. I highly recommend this Botanica. The staff is so sweet and just as caring as him. I will not be going anywhere else since my experience has been such a great one. Sal is by far the real deal. read more

Okay so I was recommend by someone to go to him. Of course I played with the idea for over a year. I dont know why it took me that long. Anyways, I finally got a reading from Salvador during the Covid stay at home order. It was different. Due to the fact he did it over the phone. I am currently doing all of his recommendations on products to buy, we shall say. The first two services I purchased after the reading made me feel like I was on cloud nine. Not going to lie. Helped me uplift my spirit, my world and I felt a 360 turn. Unfortunately am not able to purchase services as he recommends which is every week. So two weeks go by and I am feels super defeated beyond belief. Once I go and purchase another service from him and I'll tell you, this one felt different. I feel very calm and more clear headed. Like the fog has been lifted. There is a big service (big meaning expensive at least in my budget) that I want to purchase from him, in the next few weeks. I will keep everyone posted on the outcome. Now this big service he did say will take anywhere from 6-8 months to show results. I honestly feel that yes he is helping me out but I too need to do some work and well. read more

Just an update, since I've moved to Hawaii I have not been able to find a "spiritist" so I called Sal and he was able to cleanse and read long distance! I felt like he was right with me. I miss getting a hug, free candle every now and again, and chocolate but I'll take what I can get. I am also going to see if he can prepare candles for me long distance too. Has anyone else done this? I really appreciate Sal even more now that I can't just come into the shop! Many Blessings read more

Great place!! Excellent psychic!! Ever since I got my first tarot reading in 2011 with Salvador I continued to be amazed by his knowledge as a clairvoyant. He had helped me in all aspects of my life. Once he prevented me from a car accident. On my card reading he advised me of a car accident and he did a job to prevent me from getting hurt. I'm more amazed that he's able to give names of people that can be trouble or good in my life. He is the number 1 psychic in the United States. I want to congratulate him on his success promoting the movie Anabelle. I recommend him 100% read more

Sir had high manners towards others regardless how high his abilities are. I felt the sensational work from his readings. They gave my mom and I chills. The prices are also very reasonable for such work. Then we went to do the cleanse as well. I feel like he has sacrificed his energy to help people that are in need of help. We will continue participate his work. Thank you so much mr.el Indio. read more

Getting ready to see Sal for a reading and a cleanse. He always gives me great advice and guidance along with a spiritual plan to make things better. His reading are very concise and he taps into your spiritually. He is the best at what he does, he has helped me through the years and I come back to keep up my spirituality. The cleanses are also amazing, the are refreshing and help clear the negative energy. He is a fun, loving and caring person who genuinely cares about his clients and what they are going through. I've been going to el Indio botanica for 5 years now, I've been receiving my cleanses from Salvador Gata. He's been the best mentor, he's helped me & my family come a long way.. I've became more stronger, as for more positive about life. He's a very spiritual and out spoken person. I consider him as friend and the father I never had. I wish I could return the favor to him for what he has done for me someday. I recommend him to those in need to go and get cleansed, to those who want to find something out as for those who want something in life. Please those who read my review take note there is some negative reviews and much more positive ones. So please keep in mind he's known to be one of the best psychic and very much recommended. After almost a year and a couple thousand dollars, nothing predicted transpired. It was always bc I needed more jobs (magic jobs they do for you for protection, money, etc) and more cleanings. I stopped after I realized the only one no longer having money problems was the one I was giving my money to. Haha. There's a huge wait with tons of repeat ppl and I think they spread their energy too thin and that's why nothing works. I never felt any difference with my cleanses. When I did them on my own by myself, the energy shifts were huge. The woman who does the cleanses does not feel positive or invested and this may be why. I kept paying for more jobs bcuz my first jobs were not working and i was told I needed to buy more jobs ($275-~$400). The last time I went, I brought all my own supplies to my cleanse to get the price down from the usual ~$50-45. The woman there told me I needed an additional five candles per candle to prepare the three I brought in order and that the new price was now suddenly an unprecidented $150. Then she leaned back and made that money sign where you rub your fingers together. It was quite obnoxious. Lol. I was already looking for an out bc I saw zero results and was only pressured into buying more cleanses, jobs, talismans, etc every time I came but I really wanted to believe. I learned a very expensive lesson. True power is within and we have that power to heal ourselves. Don't give your power away. I'm heart broken but wiser. I'll update this if anything changes. PS: Before looking for an out, I touched base with a few ppl that got readings and healings to see their results and they've reported similar lack of results and pressure to buy more jobs. Not to say maybe as the years pass maybe something will be effected. I still feel it's because there are far too many ppl and too little energy. Time will tell. read more

From the moment my best friend and I stepped foot into Botanica El Indio we were received with positivity and felt welcomed like we were home. We had been forewarned about the possible wait time, but the hours flew by. Meeting and getting to know everyone was an extremely pleasant experience, and continues to be every time I visit. I know some people, especially in a new setting may feel awkward, uneasy,or both. Rest assure, you too will be welcomed with the same open arms, and positivity as my friend and I. Keep in mind you are surrounded by people who are there for similar reasons. I know what you're thinking.. Ok, that sounds great but is Sal legit? Honest, and truly gifted? YES!!! Sal is accurate, direct, gives exact details, including names, provides solutions to resolve your situation, but most importantly he is compassionate, sincere, caring, understanding, charismatic and loving!! Sal, Sonia (love her to pieces, and her cleanses), Ana, and Milagros are very near and dear to my heart. I feel blessed, and fortunate to call them friends.. Scratch that they are family What are you waiting for? I invite you to come and experience it, then decide for yourself. You'll be glad you did! I was introduced to Botanica El Indio by a friend. This a clean and very inviting place. Which is why I keep coming back. I have been dealing with depression and since my friend brought me here I feel so much better thanks to the cleanses that Salvador does. After the cleanses you feel like a new person. Free of negativity. I have also done readings with Salvador and everything he has mentioned has come true. He truly is a very powerful and spiritual medium. Salvador is professional and very respectful. You can tell that he truly and genuinely wants to help you. I will definitely recommend Salvador and Botanica El Indio for the authenticity and professionalism this place exudes. read more

Yelp, don't hide my review!! I've been to many 'Psychics' and 'Spiritual Healers' in the past... I happen to come across Botanica El Indo call it through fate or by accident. People i've been to in the past told me generalities about my personality (which you can probably gauge with first impressions) or try to use scare tactics to sell outrageous products (one person tried to sell me a life sized candle promising me the moon for $1000) Sal is not one of those cheap parlor psychics. He is the real deal. He will read what is weighing on your life most right away before even sitting down to consult with him. His consultations are all 100% spot on, telling you about your choices in life and those around you that influence you for good or bad (using names by the way!), and can offer spiritual healing that help cleanse the soul and bring back balance to your life. I've recommended him to many of my family and friends and they are all regular patrons as well. He's very reasonably priced at like $25 or $30 a reading, he understands not all of us have money to throw away. The only thing is depending on the time you go, be prepared to wait; no joke. He has a long list of clientele waiting to see him (and that's for all the reasons I mentioned before). For $100 you can slide your name in at the top of the list. My recommendation for first timers: Have patience, bring a good book, bring your ipad, or bring a friend to talk to. $25 is nothing so you won't spend a lot to go for your first time if for any reason you're not convinced. If you are convinced however such as myself and his many other patrons, then consider the Private route so you don't have to wait. For $25 for a reading is a steal, and $100 is still a good deal because he'll spend a good amount of time with you to really consult with you about your life. (Not like those other psychics with a clock next to their cards that charge you $45 for half an hour then ask for more money if the time goes over) I could say so many more positive things, but go and see for yourself. That's always the true test, right? For the folks that do decide to wait, there's a good Mexican food stand around the corner on Sunset and Alvarado. May I suggest getting some of their delicious and fresh french fries to curb your appetite while you wait. =o) read more
