They were professional, helpful and responded to any questions I had promptly, plus they're simply enjoyable to work with and talk to. Since the event was a wedding, Nancy and Jeff suggested white or tan portable toilets so that the color would go better with the overall look of the wedding. I hadn't realized that was an option, but I was very happy with the result and so grateful that they thought to mention it! I like being able to wash my hands with soap and water so we got the hand-washing sink, which is run by a foot pedal. The sink has 3 hand-washing sinks in it and comes loaded with soap and paper towels; it works great and I was so happy that we didn't have to figure out logistics like running water to it continuously! My fiancée and I didn't know how many portable toilets we were going to need for the 150 guests and 9 hours of festivities; thankfully Jeff knew exactly how many to recommend and he was right on target! We planned for Jeff to drop off the portable toilets and sink on Friday morning (the wedding was Saturday afternoon); Jeff arrived exactly when he said he would and got everything set up for us. It was awesome to have these in place on Friday since we had family and friends helping us set up and doing the ceremony rehearsal on-site that day. Jeff picked them up on Monday (so we were able to use them on Sunday, when we were cleaning up after the wedding too). Working with Houghton Sanitary was one of the smoothest, easiest parts of wedding planning and we wouldn't go with anyone else for the next time we needed to rent portable toilets and sinks!

Thursday morning I woke up to a small flood in my basement. The sewer pipe was blocked somewhere…read morebetween my house and the street. There only two plumber/sever companies I have ever dealt with in the past and I didn't want to use either of them because of past experiences. I wasn't really sure what to do so I jumped on Yelp and found All In One Drain Cleaning. I called and got a live person, Bill, who said that someone would be coming out my way in a few hours. Blake was the person who showed up, before noon. He tried snaking the pipe with a monster snake and had no luck. He then had to send a camera down the drain to see what was up. He told me how much it would cost and my eyes rolled into the back of my head but I had no choice and had to go with it. I am really shocked at how much it costs to send a camera down the pipe for 5 minutes. Yikes! Anyway, the camera revealed that the pipe was clogged solid so that was a good call. The next step was to blast the blockage with a water jet. Because of where my drain cleanout is located in the basement, there was no way to blast it without flooding the basement. This is where his boss, Bill, stepped in and a decision was made to dig up the front yard and install a cleanout pipe connected to the main pipe. The whole job took several hours and was finished around 7PM. It cost an arm, a leg, a lamppost, and my firstborn but at last, I was able to shower and poop without worrying that the goods would end up in the basement again. I guess certain services are just very expensive. I don't have any point of reference as to the price point because I wasn't able to "shop" around, although I am also not sure I would want to anyway. Bill and Blake a couple of very hard-working guys and they know their craft. On top of that, they are very personable and bicker like an old married couple. I would strongly recommend them to anyone who is dealing with serious plumbing or sewage problems.

Bunch of Thieves starting with the owner Frank. Called to have the septic tank emptied, truck came stayed less than 5 minutes and left. I thought it was too quick to empty a septic system so 2 days later I lifted the cap and low and behold it was full. I called called the owner to have him send a truck back because the guy he sent obviously didn't do the job and his response was "I'm not responsible for what my guys do". I asked him to show up with his guy and pump it in front of both of us and he refused. He said "we did the work and I'm never going back to that house." I asked for a refund of the $300 charge and he also refused. I told him I'd be reporting him to the BBB and the MA Attorney General's office as well as leaving him a review that reflects exactly the way they conduct business I highly recommend NO ONE do business with these people, let's show him what bad service gets you. I'd like to offer my highest recommendation for Superior Sanitation…read more To give a little background, I found myself in a nightmare situation because of a complete hack job by another septic company. I hired them to install a brand-new, updated septic system because I was preparing to sell my home. During the sale process, the system failed inspection. To make matters even worse, the company that installed the new tank completely ghosted me, leaving me to deal with the mess on my own and putting my home sale at risk. Superior Sanitation came out promptly, thoroughly assessed the situation, and put together a quote for me very quickly. They even managed to squeeze me into their busy schedule so they could repair the damage caused by the previous company. From the moment they arrived, I could tell I was dealing with true professionals. Over the last 20 years we have had a full septic system installed, have since had the tank pumped…read moreand we've had snow plow services for at least 15-20 years. Never once was money an issue! Was notified the second week of December that they won't plow anymore. Evidently the new owner doesn't understand working with machinery or doesn't have the knowledge and experienced help she needs so she walks away from a good paying customer and leaves a 70 something year old couple high and dry with no explanation! I hope she can keep all those port-o-lets clean as I don't see much of a future otherwise.
