BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE If you are ever thinking of using Bossier Remodeling, I would run the opposite direction!!! This is a terrible company, shoddy and unprofessional work.
Our tree fell on our home, after a year of lies and denials, our home is now leaning down on the entire left side, roof slopes and has large recessed circle, cracks in brick wall, carport floor, interior counter tops, porch columns 1 1/2" off and according to the City, they reused two major support beams that were damaged and did not support other beams that required support. He repaired the holes in the roof with OSB, not original ship-lap.
Let's talk about the lies and denials. We asked for city framing inspection, he lied and said report was in his office. We know he lied because we called the city 3 times, no inspection done. Then he closed up the roof with no inspection. He lied and said he was a foundation inspector, he is not. He lied and said he did not see the large recessed circle on the roof with upturned shingles. He lied when he said the problems are occurring because the yard had settled. The problems existed immediately, we addressed everything. They attempted 3 times to nail down the roof deck that had popped up about 2 inches then we didn't hear from him for about 7 months, until we had the City inspect after the fact. Many issues found and documented with pics. We got 2 estimates and also documented all problems with pics. We went to small claims court yesterday. Lucky us, we had an arbitrator who started with "I don't know about all this construction stuff". We supplied about 50 pics, handwritten journal for a year and summary of problems. At the end, he asked the contractor what it would cost for another company to do the repairs, he said $1200. Our estimates were from companies that deal specifically with coming in after BAD REPAIRS, one was $$4975. the second was $6500.
We were awarded $1000., even after contractor said it would cost $1200. for another company to do the work. We cannot get the structural repairs done for $1000. The good ole' boy mentality still firmly exists in Shreveport/Bossier. We got screwed by Bossier Remodeling! TELL ALL FRIENDS AND FAMILY, we can document everything we say.
