I knew when they had to keep coming back to "fix" what was wrong; large bubbles, two-tone colors, uneven texture and later hair line cracks down the middle, I had made a huge error. They offered to keep coming back, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, then offered insurance after I got three estimates. I was done with it all. My error was in paying the full amount. My brother visited from out of state during the summer and was appalled seeing the inferior job and did what he could to make improvements with limited time. It's obvious when someone knows what they're doing. Lesson learned. Hire reputable pros and get what you pay for.

The whole experience is a nightmare from the beginning. The workers took out the forms both in the…read moredriveway and patio, they broke pieces off the edges with their hammers. And they left piles of broken concrete and a pile of hardened concrete. I had to call for them to clean their mess. I had to call to complain about the quality of the job. The foreman came out and agreed that he would not be happy with work like this at his place, the number two in charge agreed to at least cap off the ends of the driveway around the culvert because their work looks horrible. Then Jordan came and said he will no nothing of the sort. Within two to three weeks I noticed cracking on the patio. I called Jordan. I don't remember his excuses in the beginning, but naturally it's not his fault, but since he is nice he will fill in the cracks. He said that they clearly wouldn't match the original pour but he would make them flush with the concrete and it would still look good. I told him I would think about it for the time being and get back with him if it gets worse. It continued to get much worse. I contacted him in July is 2023 stating the patio is spiderwebbed with cracks and there is one crack completely going through the patio from one side to the other. The front part actually dropped and is no longer on the same plane as the half closest to the house. I need to mention that my old patio was all broken up almost exactly as it is today. Water would also back up into the house at the slab because the concrete had heaved. I told Blue Tide Exteriors all of this when I hired them and my goal was for them to fix my problem so that I will no longer get water in the house and I will have a patio without cracks. Jordan assured us that will be no problem as he is the ONLY company in the area to use 3500 psi concrete with fiber to strengthen it further and he puts wire in all of his projects so that the customer will be satisfied and that way he doesn't have to go back to fix problems. Fast forward to now, he says the cracked up unstable patio is not his fault because we have water and soil issues causing it. I told him she should have told me before the work was done so that I could address any issues before having work done. He told me there was no way he could predict if I would have had future soil problems, nor did he ever say his work would not solve my problem. On the contrary. I hired him because he said he could fix my problem. He offered to come out to fill the numerous cracks but only because he is being nice. He said he is under no obligation to do even that because according to him, this is not a workmanship issue, it is my issue. The number one reason I chose Jordan because he said he fully warrants his work. That is what made me finally choose him over the other company. The problem is that I have soil issues and had the issues when I hired him. It is easy for him to say he will warranty his work when he can later say the problem is mine because of soil issues. In my opinion, he offered his warranty on bad faith as he knew he would never guarantee his work because he had my soil he could blame. When I talked to him over this and told him I need him to replace the patio, he said he stands by his work and told me about a couple of instances where he said he did not believe that he was to blame but he replaced the concrete to make the customer happy. He also let me know he does rework on his projects quite frequently. He said that 2-3 times a week he is doing rework as an example of how he stands by his work. If he told me he does that much rework in the first place I would have never hired him. Rework should be a once in a blue moon occurrence, not several times a week. And now when I check the BBB site, there are numerous complaints about him. How I wish they were there when I was looking for someone to hire. After he filled the cracks with some pliable crack filler, the filler looks yellowed and is not flush with the concrete. I have no experience doing concrete and I literally could do a better job. And that's my plan. I have other projects I need to get done, but in 3-4 years I'm going to have to tear out this nightmare that Jordan poured and will have to do it correctly since he will not stand by his work. I've learned that even when the buyer is wary of who they hire, they can still get burned. Sadly, this was just one project I ultimately wanted Jordan to do. Over the next five years or so, I imagine I would have given him $50-60,000 to do the other stuff I need done. But I'd be a fool to move forward with him after he did a horrible job on a simple concrete job.

Gave one star however that's overrated. Jordan subs the…read morework so he doesn't have to take credit for the shabby work. They uses 3 inch deck screws that were screwed in tight not to allow for movement for expansion and contraction from the weather. The Forman on the job tried to get more money to finish the job. Patrick Mullins, the owner of Image Remodeling & Repairs in Shreveport, leaves much to be desired…read moreas a professional, competent, skilled, courteous contractor. My father and mother are both disabled and needed to remodel their home to be ADA compliant. The job involved adding a walk-in closet, full bath and utility room, as well as adding a concrete path on the back and side of the house for easy accessibility and redoing the front porch concrete. Fortunately, my dad was able to qualify for and received funding from the VA (he is a former marine) to finance the remodel (Both my parents are in their seventies and retired, so their finances are limited.). The process took a while before Patrick received funding to start the project, and it seemed to start well, with him dedicating time and resources to moving the project along in a timely manner. The deadline to complete the project was 90 days from the start date, but it stretched out to almost 7 months! Often, there would be no one at the job site for a week, sometimes longer, and the quality of the work is substandard and poorly done. The first alarm bells for my parents and me, was the awful concrete job on the front patio, side and back patio - these were not professional masons and concrete finishers. It still looks horrible, but frankly, my parents just wanted to be done with Patrick and his screw ups. Also, the finish work in the master bath, closet and utility room were beyond substandard contractor grade. The cabinets were the cheap unfinished ones you get off the shelf at Lowe's or Home Depot, and the paint job was not done professionally - no sanding or priming before painting, hardware not installed evenly, paint on the door hinges, cabinets hung incorrectly ... I just get furious thinking about it. My parents paid $60,000 for this job, and received maybe a $25,000 end product. The most disturbing thing in this entire ordeal is how Patrick treated my parents: dismissive, rude, aggressive, insulting ... and I didn't want to believe it until I actually met him. Well, towards the end of the project, when my husband and I helped my parents with a punch list, we kindly asked Patrick to let us know that if he sees anything we overlooked, to please let us know. He flat out told us," I'm not doing that." We asked him again, "Please just tell us so we can address it if you don't want to." He then said yes. This guy is beyond my comprehension, and frankly, I don't know how he continues to get jobs if this is how he treats clients. I have my own business, and would never treat clients the way he's treated my parents. And he's trying to qualify for more jobs with the VA! That won't happen ... I promise! If you are considering hiring Patrick Mullins for your home remodel, please, please reconsider! I would hate to see another person or family be a victim of his dishonesty and ineptness.
