We ordered a hog to be cooked and delivered to our church event on July 18th. The hog arrived and the cooker was not hot and smoking like you would expect. We wanted to inspect the hog but were told we shouldn't open the lid until we are ready to serve. When we did open the smoker there was no charcoal or wood left. The fire was out. The hog was about half cooked and half still raw. We ended up grilling half the meat on our grill in the 98 degree heat while people waited for their food.
I called Boss Hogg's that day to inform him of our issue. Got the machine, no response for a week. Called again. No response for a week. Called again, he answered! When I said my name, he said "I'm real busy, I'll call you back" and hung up.
He did call back later and left a voicemail to inform us that "the bottom line is, we are not responsible for the service, the product, or menu discrepancies". He will not speak directly to me. BE AWARE: NO MATTER HOW BAD THE FOOD, HE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE! Your complaints will fall on deaf ears. If he will treat a church like this, he won't hesitate to ruin your event either! Steer clear! Will be calling the health department!
BTW, we have photos of the bloody, raw meat. read more
