It was crowded but there were still some seats available!! They have an early bird session and a regular one but again it did get crowded so I would get there early even if you're just going to play the regular session. Plus it's at a school in the middle of a neighborhood so the street parking was limited. Someone told me there was a parking lot on the other side. Everyone was super nice and helpful.

I visited this place for the first time on 7/13/24 because Don Bosco was closed. Here's my review:…read more Seats:I arrived 15 minutes after the doors opened. Most of the seats in the front were reserved, so I found a few available seats at the back. A regular player informed me that many people arrive 15 to 30 minutes before opening to save seats. Buy-in:I waited in line for about 30 to 45 minutes. They accept both cash and cards. The buy-in is quite expensive; to max out your machine, it costs around $160. They play 5 early bird games with a payout of $276 and 15 regular games with a payout of $300. The payout is quite low compared to the buy-in. At Don Bosco, the buy-in is $50, and they play 20 paper games with a $500 payout and 10 strip games with a $1000 payout. Crowd:The number of people is similar to Don Bosco, but most are not friendly. Verifier:The person verifying the game didn't know how to do it correctly. For the strip game, which is a double action game, you need two numbers for the B and O rows and three numbers for the I, N, and G rows. They called two numbers on each row and declared it a valid bingo. In the blazing balls game, you need a minimum of four numbers to win, but they verified a card with only three numbers and called it a valid win. You can cheat here as long as the verifier doesn't know how to verify correctly. Other places show the card on the screen for everyone to see, but not here. Caller:The caller was rude to the players. When players in the front called him out for not verifying the flash game correctly, he responded rudely. I can't imagine spending a lot of money to be treated poorly. They keep saying to be nice to the workers because they are volunteers, but I believe they should be nice to us players. We don't volunteer our time and donate our money; we are paying customers. I can't believe the players here allowed him to talk like that. Food/Kitchen:Dinner costs $15, which includes an entree and a soup or salad. The food isn't great, so I recommend bringing your own. The woman in the kitchen was grouchy. When I got a fork, she yelled at me, saying I needed to buy food first. I went back to my seat, got the cake I had bought, and showed it to her. All that hassle just for a fork. Flash Games:They played strips, 1199 flash, and 1199x2 games. You can only buy 5 and have to wait until they sell to everyone. The atmosphere was chaotic, with everyone just yelling "flash."

Another year, another 626 Night Market! It was our second time coming to the 626 Night Market at…read morethe Santa Anita Park and we'll be back for a third! We opted to go to the August one (they also had a June one). As usual, we bought our tickets in advance to save some money. Remember where you park because it's a burn to walk all day in the sun and then walk around in circles at night looking for your car (we know from experience). Getting in was a breeze and there are vendor booths immediately there to greet you with art, jewelry, collectibles, etc. Lots of cool stuff to look at, but some of it is a smidge too pricey for what it is so it depends on how much you really want something. Of course everyone comes here for the food and they have it in spades! Make sure to do a lap around to check out all the food booths before committing! First we tried Teriyaki Jerk Chicken Mac from Mac Daddy - it originally looked like a small box, but they really packed it with meat on top of the mac and cheese. The meat was a bit too dry and overpowered by paprika so it didn't really go with the mac and cheese. Next, we tried Quesabirria Tacos and Birria Loaded Fries from Las Chelaguas. The tacos were good but pretty small. The Birria Loaded Fries were bomb! Such a huge portion and very filling! We had to waddle off our caloric intake thus far, so we made our way to Lemon Tea Squeeze for drinks. They served lemonade and iced tea drinks in collector cups (we got the bear cup while our friends got the cow cup). Unlimited refills are always a plus in the heat so we made our way back before the end of the night. We grabbed some Mango Sticky Rice to go from Pink Mango, and while we were there we also tried the Mango Sticky Rice with Ube Rice and topped with ice cream - perfect dessert to end the night with! Pink Mango had the longest line out of all the food vendors we tried though, creating a traffic jam with people trying to walk past/through. The night market also gets incredibly more crowded at night, so if you don't want to deal with sweaty people throwing elbows you're best bet is going during the day where you can spread out and take your time (they also offer cooling/misting stations during the day but close them at night). Overall we had a great time and we'll be sure to make this an ongoing yearly tradition. It's always cool to try out food we might not normally have tried and get introduced to vendors worth checking out again. Remember to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat! Word to the wise if you have to use the restrooms - skip the porta potties on the side and just go inside the racetrack to use the normal restrooms (it's the road less traveled and infinitely more cleaner).

This is my second time here and it has been a while: PROS: - free parking - admission tickets are cheap (cheaper if you buy it wayyy in advanced) - $6 value meal (also have $8, $10, etc.) I took advantage of the $6 value meals CONS: - foods here are way over priced - drinks are also over priced - too hot (bring sun screen) You are allowed to bring any bags (doesn't have to be a clear bag), as long as it's not a huge bag.
