Now, having moved away from Pennsylvania decades ago, I haven't been able to find kielbasa that is as good as that from Schiff's from my childhood memories. So, during a recent trip "back home", I stopped by Schiff's to stock up on kielbasa. Our daughter also requested that we pick up its necessary accompaniment, horseradish. My family loves both the regular white horseradish (spicier) and the red one that is prepared with beets. Schiff's also has an excellent selection of other meats: a deli with sliced meats, cheeses, and specialty salads; fresh fruits and vegetables; ethnic foods such as pirogies; and more.

I've been shopping at this location for years & I will say over the past year or so it's just…read moregetting worse! I don't know if the dairy products are being left out in delivery or at the store but I have gotten spoiled products off the shelves also from the deli area. I won't even buy any dairy products especially from the deli. I still buy from the bakery but over the past 2 months it's gotten so bad that I'm weary of doing that also. The baker is either new or something but NOT following recipes, & substituting ingredients. Maybe they should have Main Ave retrain them?? Today I took a chance and bought blueberry muffins, got home took a few bites and threw the rest out! Waste of 6.00 It didn't taste like regular muffin mix, it kinda tasted like rye or pumpernickel, and the blueberry's were hard, I'm thinking maybe frozen?? But defiantly not fresh blueberry's. I dont know why they are going downhill like this. I will be shopping elsewhere from now on!
