I would read this in full …read more.. My experience here was awful. The first few years were ok but after that it went downhill. The quick complaints are broken gym equipment, broken hot tub, shrubs literally growing over your apartment windows to where you can't see in or out, dog feces everywhere, constant car break ins and automobile theft, trash everywhere, no consequences for neighbors parking in covered reserved spots or handicapped spots, cigarettes everywhere. Now besides all of that the worst part about living here is the fact that you might get a neighbor who lives right next to you who smokes weed 24/7 inside with his baby, is unemployed, and a registered "Level 1 non compliant" person with a kidnapping charge in lewis county. When the apartments were provided proof of this person residing here being unregistered to the address and not on the lease they did nothing at one point I was told and I quote "because of new covid guidelines being so tight we can't do anything unless there was a body". The cops come all the time for him and his girlfriend arguing and screaming. Because they smoke inside it fills all of the units in that particular building so bad everyone can smell it. Every person in that building complained about seeing it, smelling it, etc and nothing was done for over 9 months. We're not talking about smoking outside either this is a constant indoor smoking to where 11 units are affected and nothing was done. Now this is just one building but I'm aware of several other buildings having similar issues and problems. All I can say is every tenant should carefully read their rental agreement and know their tenant rights because you have the right to a quiet enjoyment of your unit which smoking violates and a smoke free unit which is another part in the lease. I allowed 9 months for the issue to be resolved in good faith before asking out of my lease and they still never fixed it after being told several times they were looking into evicting the other tenants causing the issues. This is just my experience but one I felt was important to share.

Apparently, all you have to do is pay a fee for each dog. I have noticed a lot more big dog poop piles around when I take my little dog out for a walk. It is really disgusting and makes the complex much less desirable to live in. PSA: If you walk your dog in public places, please be a considerate human being and pick up after it when it goes to the bathroom. People should not have to dodge land mines while out for a walk I also wanted to add - they no longer allow us to use the clubhouse for anything!! It used to be open when the property manager was here with a little kitchen area and a television. We were allowed to sign up to have birthday parties, etc in there. No longer allowed. Also, the property manager is no longer "on-site" unless you call and make an appointment to meet her here for something.

On one occasion he had a fan positioned in such a way that it would blow up the skirts of women coming in. When he noticed it did so he did nothing to fix it. He is constantly gossiping about tenets to other tenets and on many occasions has broken the hippa laws. He pays kids to snitch on adults and even allows them to hang out in his office alone with him. I have been told he has given out his personal phone number to women renting appartmrnts, and simple conversations regarding professional matters quickly become personal in nature.

But since 2020 we have had a shooting and numerous drug deals/drug violence that our temp manager tried to deal with before quiting in December 2020. In 2021 we've had more car thefts and break-ins then you can count. A stabbing in January. The drug dealers are still here and office/corporate do nothing about. They refuse to set up cameras, fix outdoor lighting that's been broken/disabled for 3+ years or set up speed bumps to stop the dealers from speeding while blaring car horns 1-3 time a night. Then they also surprised everyone with rent increases while not fixing any of the issues. Inspections happened months ago yet the repairs they claimed they would do still haven't happened. Smoke/carbon monoxide detectors have been dead and needing changed since 2016 according to the new new new new maintenance member. The area has gotten so bad that many residents have not armed themselves and keep their kids inside. Every unit has filed complaints with the office about the drug dealing group and they refuse to do anything. Local police department know the drug dealing family from the 50+ calls this year alone that you don't even have to give a description of them/cars/apartment number.

Unfortunately it is not as secure as it was. With people delivering groceries, packages and meals freely, there are many strangers in the halls. Our hall walkers state that packages, groceries and more are rummaged through and stolen. Some is stolen by people who live here. The Vintage has lost its community feel with removal of activities. We used to gather daily for coffee and treats in the community room. Now it is off limits until Saturday for a few short hours. They show a move once a month. But it feels like the corporate discourages group functions now. There is a church service on Sunday but it would be nice to have a Pastor conductor like Woodland does. People now stay mainly in their rooms and keep to themselves. That is sad! There is not as much neighborhood feeling now. The staff here are wonderful people. But of course the distant corporate headquarters makes the rules and staff has to abide by them. As do the renters.

And I started having trouble with the manager (Lynn) coming in my apt without my permission to "fix" a problem. Then when I confronted her about it she would reason it away. I don't know.about you but I felt like what was suppose to be my private area that I was renting was violated. They do allow dogs and I have a bigger dog but was also blamed for other people not cleaning up after their own dogs and when I confronted the manager about being accused of it she stated it must be me since the problem didn't start til I moved in. I call bullshit I'm an adult and I know how to clean up after my own dog. BE WARNED BEFORE YOU RENT FROM HERE. Trust me with a little more looking you could find a much nicer friendlier and more private place!

My Father-In-Law has lived at the Colonial Residence for 5 years now. It is located in Stillwaters…read moreEstates where he lived for many years before having to move into assisted living. This was great, many of his former neighbors already lived there, so he already had friends. He was very reluctant to move, but now enjoys living there. This is a very clean, well staffed assisted living facility. We go every week to do his laundry and take him to lunch, so I have gotten to know many of the residents and staff there. There is a wonderful library for the residents, and even has a weekly lending partnership with the Timberland Regional Library System. The dining room is always set up like fine dining, attention to resident individual requirements are done well. My father-in-law for a while was on an almost pureed diet, they managed to make it more than tolerable for him. There are movies, trips, and entertainment brought in constantly. A few times my Father-In-Law has had medical emergencies, the staff is very calm and professional. He once had something that made him bleed allot, blood got everywhere. The staff made sure before the ambulance arrived to pack I a clean set of clothes, contacted us and let us know the ETA of him arriving at the hospital (which is about 3 blocks away). When we brought him home, they had cleaned the entire apartment, and not a trace of blood remained. The RN on duty came to great us at the door, double checked discharge orders and took good care of him. There is also an entertainment ares that has a pool table, juke box, and other fun things. Family and friends can join family for dining and Thanksgiving and Christmas you can enjoy you holiday meal in their dining room. Food was really good and NO CLEAN UP for us..... This place is open to those who do not live in Stilwaters Estates, it is the nicest facility, and for what you get a great bargain. (Assisted living is always expensive). I would live there if I had too. The ONLY negative is the television, there is a weird version of satellite that doesn't allow any options to get more channels which we find annoying. These folds spend allot of time in their apartments, for goodness sakes, let them pay for more if they want.
