Please please please go to this place !!…read more First of all the place it's super cute and clean. Eddie and Jorge are just amazing ,they are so kind and attentive. For right now even though they are short in staff the food and attention given to us was on point. Now for the food, the sampler was so authentic it had empanadas, croquetas which is ham croquettes, yuca fritters and corn fritters called sorrullos and pollo frito. That was delicious. The chuleta kan kan which is a massive piece of pork chop was cooked to the perfection and it's actually shareable. So even though it's 38 dollars you do get a lot for your buck. Have that with a side of white rice and beans and tostones de pana it's a little different from the regular tostones. Ok moving on.... Trifongo with shrimp scampi was so on point the flavor was creamy not runny at all. And very flavorful. Chicharrón de pollo con trifongo. Great Mar y tierra was a very small portion the steak although small was very juicy. The flan was great and the coffee to end the meal . But my input of this place it's literally like your Puerto Rican mother was cooking these meals in your kitchen..

We walked in and were greeted by a very nice gentleman who treated us spectacularly. We had our pick of tables..... we were also the only ones in there. We ordered the Cuban sandwich, and the chicken plate with rice and beans. I'm going to jump right in: The black beans tasted like they'd dumped the entire cumin condiment jar in by mistake. The cuban sandwich had the wrong ingredients and was odd tasting. The chicken breast was chewy like I'd been in a microwave. And the kicker....... The rice was at least a day old and reheated. This is unacceptable. I understand maybe some things were from the day before as often black beans can be, but not every single item. Not for a restaurant. This is your one job. We quietly left most of our meal, paid our bill and left never to return. The worst part was feeling duped. The one waiter and the one cook there acted like this was a great meal cooked to order, and they'd done all this work super fast. As fast as a microwave could warm it up. Gross. I'm not sure what was happening behind the scenes but that one meal cost you return customers.

I've been coming to Chas Quan's from the very beginning. The popularity they have is much deserved…read moreand ran by very good people. What I will say is that the food quality and portions are getting weaker as time goes by. I get we are facing harder times with food prices, but the prices have went up 50% and the portions has decreased at the same time. When I spend $17 on a a plate I can't even get full anymore. Pictured is a $15 plate with maybe 6 shreds of chicken? Used to come with green and yellow zucchini. The chicken used to be cooked with the seasoning. Not just cooked and then a dash of it on top. The bottom of the rice, soaking wet and soggy from the juices that used to be Drained properly. If I get a sour bowl the rice is almost non existent and the meat portions are severely decreased. I remember when I would have to save some of my plate. Now I spend $17 plus $3 tip and for $20 I can't even have a meal that gets me full. It's just sad because the workers and owners are so awesome! The first few years were the absolute best. I'd say since 2020-2022ish it started getting less and less quality and less food portions plus massive price increase. I hope they see this message and go back to the old portions because the prices are already up. Idc if I pay $20 for a meal. Just want to get full from it like the old days. Most Asian places ALWAYS load your plate. The mall, panda, Chinese food, Siam orchid, etc they give you heavy portions for even less money. Wondering why chez quans has to cheap out .

Wow! All I can say is wow for the food!! Came here yesterday with my family and the place was…read morepacked but not in a *too crowded* way, thankfully. The restaurant itself wasn't too large and had a bathroom in the back. They were able to clear a table for us and sat us down in good time. A man (possibly the owner?) came up to take our order and was very sweet asking us about our day how we were doing. Both my mom and I ordered the Churrasco la Estancia (my mom subbed plantains instead of fries) and my sister ordered the Pescado a lo Macho since she was craving fried fish. The churrasco was amazing, perfectly cooked, seasoned well and so so good with the chimichurri(?) sauce on top. My mom let me try some of her plantains and I wish I got those instead of my fries! We all loved the rice as well, something about the soft, flavorful fluffiness of it made it great. My sister was also very content with her fried fish and we were both pleasantly surprised by the fish stew that came with it. The type of plantains she got with that dish weren't our favorite though. The food came out in good time, but we had to come up and ask for the check because one of the waitresses was busy talking to another customer. Overall the food was great though and I told my mom I'd love to come again the next time we visit the area!

Also, they forgot to put the utensils, no forks, no spoon for the soup I ordered, no napkins. I called to ask, the guy was very disrespectful, an old man, he told me the customer has to ask for that when pick up the order. Very disappointed.
