So I basically have invisible veins. Every time I have to have blood drawn, they tie the tourniquet, slap my arm, have me squeeze a ball, and then look totally perplexed as to why my veins aren't popping. On my most recent visit, I tried my first arm, gave up, then tried my second arm, stuck me, didn't get any blood, and then had to draw the blood from my hand, which was painful. The practitioner was very patient and kind with me, and kept me busy chatting to try to distract me from the discomfort. Despite the slight delay in finding a vein from which to draw, the overall process here was very swift. From check-in to walking out the door was less than 10 minutes, and I also received my results very promptly. read more

For the second time in less than a year this lab failed to send my test results to the ordering Doctor. I don't understand what is so hard about sending results to the Doctor who ordered the test, but Borgess can't seem to handle it, even after informing them of the problem the first time it happen. My only guess is the takeover by Ascension which caused much employee turnover (including many Doctors), resulting in untrained/incompetent employees is to blame. Looking for a new provider. read more
