I called VG, chatted with very personable Morgan. "Let's see what we can do," she said, and called back a few minutes later, "Adrian will be there this afternoon about 3." Adrian showed up about 2, analyzed the problem, returned a few minutes later with a new solenoid, and the zone was up and working. This town is famous for "oh, we'll put you on our waiting list, but it might be three or four weeks before we can get to you." So, service within about five hours is unheard of. I asked around, and found that Jim at Evergreen Treecare is the "tree doctor" and is the best in Jackson. He gives free advice, told one neighbor: "Hey, just water the trees 2 hours a day with a full hose. You don't need me to come do anything, just water, water, water". That is priceless in a town where folks want to grab every dollar. We have a problem in Rafter J with spider mites and Evergreen is doing a lot to help care for the trees before they die next year.
