When there finally was an opening I went into office to rent one and was given a much higher price 259. I paid it anyway. I work 2 jobs so its hard for me to move much during the day. This place was open 24/7 so that made it better for me to get it done. When I rented it my dog was in my vehicle .She is a service dog I had for 9 yrs. I grabbed my friend after work and we went and moved a load with my truck. With it being late I decided to bring my dog along for support and protection . She was very well behaved and on a leash. We took her for a walk to the rest room after we unloaded everything then back to organize everything. We were there a total of 3 hours. I left a note for the office letting them know it wasn't cool in the air conditioned unit. It has been 110 degrees for the last week. I continued to move a load a day until it was done. With the last of the load to move I arrived at my storage unit to find a note taped to my door. It stated that i must move out of unit by the end of the month with no reason other than the owners discretion. I didnt unload my vehicle I went to speak to the lady who rented me the unit. She stated the night I was there with the dog the owner watched us on camera walk to the bathroom and thought the dog was going for a walk to go to the bathroom. He had his worker go where we walked to see if there was anything showing the dog went to the bathroom there was not. The owner still wanted me to move out of the unit . So the worker left me the notice. They will not be refunding any of my money to get another storage unit, I now have to move everything again in the heat. The owner will not talk to me to about what he was upset about to make me move. I was very respectful and quiet when there. There was several other units in our row with people outside their units with cars and chairs like a tailgate party. Another unit working on a vehicle . The owner never questioned what they were doing just focused on the two girls and a dog. I felt he was unfair they over charged me for a smaller unit than my friend s that I know who has a unit in there and my unit is smaller than theirs and hotter. The owner had no regards in what it cost me to have to pay someone to help me or the gas it cost and energy after working and having to move afterwards. I don't recommend this place. I was respectful and followed the rules and was told to leave. This was not good customer service In anyway. Their policy requires a 30 day notice before you can move out. Yet they weren't willing to give me 30 days from the notice as a courtesy to me. Life is hard enough for businesses to treat people like this.

Had a storage unit here for almost two years and when I signed the paperwork they had me sign the…read moresection indicating I planned to store firearms. When we were getting ready to move, I called the facility on September 27, 2016 and gave them my 30 notice. I was told that I had to give them the notice in writing. I asked if sending an email through their website would work and I was told that I could. On Friday, September 30th, I received a call from the storage facility and was informed that they drilled out the lock on my unit by mistake. I asked when they drilled the lock out and they said on the 28th ( a day after my notice ). Of course I cussed out the person that called me and she said it was an honest mistake because they were supposed to drill out the lock on the unit next to me so they could the unit up for auction. A few minutes later the District Manager called me and explained the same thing. I asked if they touched anything in the unit and she said "No". Then next morning my wife and I drove to Yuma from San Diego. I contacted the person working the office that day, and she said they only drilled the lock out and opened the unit, took pictures and then closed the door and locked it up with their lock. She said there were four of them present when the locker was drilled out. I requested the pictures they took and she could not find them on the computer. We then went to the unit and I asked how could four adults mistake my unit number for the one next door because they were clearly marked. After she opened the door we went in and I could tell that several items had been handled and some even moved because of the dust being disturbed. There were even fingerprints on my safes in the locker. I hadn't been in the unit for several months and the fingerprints were new. The person said that she had to go back to the office and the three others stayed behind. I told her I was going to talk to the District Manager the following week. I finally called the District Manager and she told me that no one touched anything in the unit. I told her that if she was sticking to that story, I was going to call Yuma PD and make a report. When we went through Yuma two weeks later, I called Yuma PD and an officer responded. I showed him what had been disturbed he went to the office. As we were leaving, the officer told me that the District Manager told him she went through the stuff in our unit. The officer also showed me a copy of our paperwork and the office highlighted that firearms are not permitted, but the highlighting stopped there. The section had in parentheses (unless allowed by law). I explained to the officer that I had to sign the section indicating I was storing firearms and that the facility rented me the unit. Throughout this whole situation, I found that three people that I talked to, out of the four people involved had lied to me and my wife continually. They stepped 8 feet inside the unit and moved gun boxes and checked ammo cans. I believe that they were looking for unsecured firearms that they could take and sell. DO NOT RENT HERE IF YOU HAVE FIREARMS BECAUSE ALL OF THE PEOPLE HERE LIED THROUGH THEIR TEETH TO HIDE WHAT THEY HAD DONE.

Unfortunately our TOY hauler was severely vandalized while in the care of Storage Max due to the…read morefact the owners decided to leave the security gate open during the day. Not only was our TOY hauler vandalized, the vandals took the following: 2 large connected propane tanks, 2 connected batteries, locked generator, solar panels from top of trailer, full hitch stabilizer and hitch, power tools that were locked in a compartment, all hoses for water, waste etc..(who would want that!). They cut wires connecting tanks to power/generator. Not only did they steal all these items, they also used a crowbar to open the door, destroy the screen door and shatter an exit window. Management took no responsibility. They claimed they checked the lot twice a day. They also blamed the incident on the previous owners yet the same office managers worked for the new owner. Because we had no batteries or stabilizing hitch to move our trailer, they charged us a full month extra since we could not haul it on the last day of the month. Considering this incident happened at the end of the month, you would think they would have given us a grace period. We were very disappointed in the lack of compassion and responsibility even if small. We highly recommend using another storage facility. Extremely disappointed for a small town business to treat their customers in this manner. How did the office managers not notice a truck or trucks hauling out large items from a trailer. Unbelievable.
