Let's be honest...paying a weekly visit to any branch of boots in town (in the county?) is…read moresomething that most of women do. I can't live without my "Boots fixing". But the mecca of all Boots is placed in the city centre. It`s a huge one and you probably have been to this for several reasons. First time I've been there was when I was a student in Birmingham and I need to see get see a doctor. I was really impressed with the service. Very busy one, but with ans excellent service. I also used this Boots for several Interpretation jobs and again, I was always welcomed. The Chemistry is so busy and sometimes the service is a bit slow but again, nothing to be upset about it. But what make always go back for more is, obviously, the beauty products. I can spend hours looking for all products that I need ( or don't need sometimes) and I can`t get enough. It's a popular branch so we always know there are queues. To be honest, I never was stuck in queues in this Boots. Even this summer when there were people everywhere in the city centre. Love the variety of perfumes in the display and now that i have new adds to my family ( my lovely twin nieces) I always check the baby accessories there. I may buy loads of things from this Boots to take with me to Brazil in September. I love this Boots and to be honest, it's a therapeutic place to me. even if I have no cash to splash, I pass by there anyway, check all stuff I want to buy, make a mental note of it and go home with my mood changed. It works.

Now, Birmingham... Let's talk Health. I have reviewed my Dentist and my Doctor, but there are a…read morehost of other places in Birmingham which are striving to keep us fighting fit. For my services which are not teeth related, I use the multiple places in Boots. Boots (as you will already know) is a chain pharmacy and beauty store - available in train stations, city centres and most places where you may need to grab a pack of paracetamol or some plasters. This boots, however, offers a whole host of other services you may need for a range of health needs. Upstairs are your beauty counters, hygiene products and gifts (the discount on gifts after christmas is particularly good - offering 50% - 70% off), but on the lower floor are it's other services. If you pop on the escalators and head downstairs you'll find an optician, an NHS walk-in, a doctors surgery, Birmingham Uni dentists and a sexual health clinic. With the doctors surgery and dentist, you will need an appointment. The optician will see walk-ins (depending on how busy they are) and the sexual health clinic and NHS centre are totally walk-in led. This, obviously, can lead to long waiting times - but if you desperately need a doctor and can't get an appointment at your local clinic, this place is a lifesaver (probably quite literally). As well as the various medical services I have mentioned, Boots offers a "stop smoking" clinic and other health led initiatives. When I first moved into Birmingham City Centre I had no idea where my local health services would be (I was dreading having to catch a bus out of town), so for all of those who work or live in the City - this place is your one stop shop for when you're feeling off or need some supplies.

Superdrug is a brand which either has good or terrible stores based on past experiences from Manchester to London, Liverpool to Brighton and across England - but this store offers facilities I've never seen in a Superdrug store before including a salon for women, and a barbers for men - normally they just have a small area of the store for women's beauty as this is a health and beauty retailer as well as a pharmacy, but it catered for men in that department too, offering a dry cut for the low price of £14 which is pretty good for the city centre, I've paid a lot more than that back home in Manchester too! The beverage selection was also pretty large, sadly it didn't have any Lipton drinks (these seem to have been replaced with fuze tea in every branch) or Starbucks beverages (some stores have these) The store, in general, was pretty modern and had a good range of products. Service and the queuing process could have been better as well as ensuring every part of the store was modern and stood out, as if not it just appears to be a little mix and match. 4* - Really good facilities for a Superdrug store in a central location, despite its flaws it is probably my favourite Superdrug store.

Out of the Superdrugs in Birmingham city centre I think this is the best one. The layout is very clear and I always know where everything will be. I noticed in other Superdrugs that they don't stock as much of there on offer items as this store does. Herbal Essense and Batiste dry shampoo is always at the entrance when its half price!

Masters Pharmacy doesn't do all that much to challenge…read morethat repetitive wisdom but is a very welcoming and diligent establishment which I'd recommend if you need a pharmacy in this area. I've been in there a couple of times needing relief from various ailments and the pharmacist has helped me out and advised me very well even though I'm not on their system. The other bits and pieces they sell, such as toiletries, are very well priced (the mens deodorant is as cheap as any supermarket) and they stock a good range of dental and headache products. There's also an optician in there (see pic - although if you can't you might need to visit them). Finally, on an architectural note, Masters can also be thanked for facelifting the corner of Vicarage and Tat Bank Roads, having been built on the site of a derelict building (as seen on Google Earth).

Several people that have received their vaccine here have all said that their arm was not swabbed with an antiseptic wipe prior to the injection. After the injection, again several people advised staff that they felt unwell, either giddy, sudden headache, nausea or all three. In all instances staff advised them to go and sit in their car for 15 minutes as there is nowhere on the premises for patients to sit for 15 minutes after receiving the vaccine. Parking near the premises is very limited with the majority having to park in side streets necessitating a minimum 5 minute walk to their car. Some patients do not drive and walk to and from the premises. No guidance is given as to what should be done if symptoms persist. As the premises have no provision for patients to sit for 15 minutes following vaccination, and therefore are not meeting NHS and government guidelines for the delivery of Covid vaccine, I do not feel the premises are a suitable venue to deliver the vaccine. Is any health agency actually policing the suitability of venues?
