Left a prescription on Saturday afternoon and was told I could collect it after mid-day on Monday. Apparently this was wrong and it wouldn't have been ready, but it was Tuesday when I went to collect. First they couldn't find the paper prescription - someone found it lying on top of a cupboard. Although the bag was sealed it was incomplete - the two boxes of eye drops I needed were missing - the prescription obviously had not been checked. After a search, one box was found. I pointed out for the gentleman serving me that this was wrong - there should be two - and staff concluded they had not ordered the right items. The manager wasn't in that day to complain to but staff thought she'd be in the next day!
Eye drops, although important to me, are not a life or death item but next time their incompetence could have serious consequences. People should be told when a prescription actually WILL be available for collection, the correct items should be ordered, the prescription should be checked after being dispensed and it should be made ready to be picked up. This is shockingly bad. read more
