The store mainly has building supplies at what seem to be quite reasonable prices. The staff seem to be fairly knowledgeable about the shop and were helpful in finding anything that I could not find. The shop never seems to get very busy so it is easier to find what you are looking for in camparision with other DIY and building suppliers in the area. Whickes are always worth a look if you are doing any building work.

The Arts Centre (now called the Poly) is on the main street in town just past the Falmouth…read morebookshop, they have regular events almost every night ranging from theatre, music and they also have a small cinema that shows a lot of foreign films and art house productions that normally wouldn't get seen. They also show the usual blockbusters etc around a month after their release and because the cinema is so nice we often wait until then to go watch a film, with fewer people it's a much better experience. Also just as you go in the doorway, to the left they usually have a gallery display and to the right they occasionally have a book sale in the evenings after a film, i've picked up some fantastic books from there! Word of advice if you want snacks and nibbles during your film they sometimes have them on the counter but not always and not many, so pop across the road to Threshers and grab yourself a bag of something. The prices are competitive, and the selection wide. Having used it several times, asking for help if you can't find what you are looking for is a must, without feeling obliged to purchase. Just because it is a small outlet, don't think you will see high prices. You won't.

I bought my most recent phone from here and found the shop overall to be very good. The prices are slightly higher than on over networks on pay as you go but there are ways to save money. If you are already a O2 pay as you go sim card with credit, it is worth looking here as they let me get a new phone without a new sim card for cheaper. Another way to save money is to bring in an old phone to trade in, they will then take £10 off the price of your new phone and send the old one to charity. Although it can be quite busy the staff are friendly and I did not feel rushed. They may not be the cheapest but the staff are good.

The store is well laid out and easy to get around even with a pushchair. The prices are good and I have never had any reason to complain about the service either, with polite and friendly staff ready to help. The store is always clean and tidy and easy to find things in, and is overall a very nice shopping experience with plenty of bargains to be found compared to the prices for similar goods in other high street stores.
