It's not a massive store and it doesn't look like a carbuncle in between all the little independent shops. It does offer; like all superdrug stores, a wide range of beauty and medicinal products at a variety of price points - from bargain basement to high end. Something to suit all purses. It adds an extra dimension to shopping in Louth without being overbearing and damaging the small independent stores. The service is reasonably good with friendly staff who are pleased to help.

As well as the Pharmacy that you find in every Boots store, there is also an Optician and Hearing Care facility. Prices are competitive, other than the food/drink section, which I always find to be rather expensive at Boots compared to rival chains, as they rarely seem to have any offers in that section, combined with higher prices before promotional offers even come into play too. The selection is reasonable, the staff were friendly enough and this is a good Boots location overall that I would return to on future visits to York. 4*

We went to this Boots Pharmacy today ("pharmacy" being a huge understatement, as the store is large and it's very much like an American chain store) and bought the item we needed. The man who rang up our purchase (in the pharmacy section) was SUPER-friendly and we had a delightful conversation with him. Also; the store is well laid-out & very clean, and the selection looked very good.

However, in terms of medicines and personal hygiene products this store is lacking in comparison to other superdrug stores. Despite this it has most of the products that shoppers in this type of shopping centre would desire. The customer service is good but I have never known the store not to be busy, so expect to have to queue for a few minutes at the tills.
