A lifesaver, this place. Seldom do Boots carry my special sinusitus Otrivin - yet this one does. Together with your always in stock 400mg ibuprofen, you make my workdays just slightly more bearable. Boots of Farringdon, I salute you. read more

I was surprised to find this usually 'local high street' retailer in the City…read more From the outside the building blends into the rest of it's surroundings on Old Broad St. It doesn't have the usual glass frontage typical of other Superdrug stores, but when you walk in it's exactly what as expect. It's quite spacious, with high ceilings and wide aisles (surprised they're not cramming in an extra aisle here and there). All the usuals reside on the shelves (vitamins, soaps, tissues, hair products etc) and they also have a photo area. I always consider Superdrug to be cheaper than Boots, so visit here to pick up general toiletries and make up bits. Some of the staff have been very helpful (one helped to check what they had in stock by using a zapping device, which also tells you when the next delivery will be) - Others aren't really bothered.

Thank God for this Boots -- their blister plasters and soft drinks and kept us on the march :)…read more Clean, well-organized and well-staffed. We especially appreciated the very kind cosmetics counter lady who let sweaty tourists sit at her station, though we were clearly not customers for her wares.

But I love you, Boots. Meal deals are fab.

To be fair, so do other small businesses in this office district. They carry lots of condoms, too.

Although my visit was brief I was struck by the kindly demeanour of the gent who gave me my medicine - a real contrast to many of the doctors, nurses and other medical staff I've encountered since I became ill. When you're coping with poor health, little things like bedside manner make all the difference. But this is all too easily forgotten. So hats off to Kalmak Chemist for their gentle treatment this afternoon.

A large Boots, actually situated on the shopping concourse of the Liverpool Street station /…read moreBroadgate development. It's incredibly handy for travellers using the railway station and going to and from the Underground, and seems to be permanently busy. It has all the usual range of pharmaceuticals, other health products and toiletries, as well as snacks and food, and a range of in-store health and testing facilities (for flu vaccinations, chlamydia tests and treatment, etc). The only downside is that the low ceiling makes it feel rather claustrophobic. A new feature is 'serve and scan yourself' check-outs, which seem to work OK (or at least, after a few tries!)
I wish I could give zero star. I booked an appointment at Boots Octagon Arcade at 15th July. When…read morewe finished all the paperwork, I was told that there is no MenB Vaccine in stock. Why I was not told before I got there? Then I have to book another appointment for the same vaccine. I chose Boots cheapside store which is closest but still 6 stops subway from home. More ridiculously, I was told that the pharmacist had gone!!! At the beginning, the staff said are you sure you go to the right store because we have no appointment today. Then I shown her the confirmation message and email. She said do you get the cancellation message? Sometimes we have to cancel an appointment. I said no. Then finally she could find my appointment in the system. And it has not been cancelled! Then she said they didn't have the vaccine in stock. Obviously it is an excuse!! They said they did apologize. One apologize can cancel any appointment without notice as their wish?! I spent time and money and had to request for leave and collect the kid from school. For two times! What is worse for kids, he had to go through this process twice. He was scared and refused at first and try to be brave and ready for the vaccine after our encourage and then was told the unforeseen horrible thing will happen not now but later. We are extremely irritated and disappointed and have to write down these complaints. We don't want to take any more chances at Boots. After all there are many more pharmacy and clinics that can offer general health service out there.
