And seeing as I grew up in Nottingham, which is the birthplace of Boots and is home to some rather large Boots stores, that's really saying something. In the Boots at the Fort shopping centre you will find anything and everything health, beauty or pharmacy related that you could hope for. Looking for that nice hand cream someone bought you as a preset? They'll have it. After a new type of mascara you saw advertised on the telly? They'll have it. All this with a baby section, a mens section, a perfume section and a food section. They also have a huge photo section featuring instant printing machines as well as photo albums, cameras and related paraphernalia. Erm, so what more could you possibly want from a Boots? Friendly staff perhaps? Well, you're in luck! A couple of times I've found myself a little lost in this store, and have had to find a member of staff to point me in the right direction, or even give me a hand with the photo machines. Every time this has happened, I've come across really helpful members of staff who actually care about the well being of their customers. Result! read more

I am a long term fan of Boots and refuse to chose just one reason why: They are named after an item of footwear, the clean white slightly medical feel, the amazing advantage card, the memory of it being the only decent shop on the high street of the town I grew up near and the product range. Where else can I go to buy a present for my infant nephew, a lipstick, a photo frame, tights and a sandwich? I say all these things about any Boots, then they opened the Glasgow Fort Boots and I loved them. The first thing to mention is that it is huge, muckle, amazingly massive. I have been know to spend well over a happy hour wandering and finding product lines and brands I would normally only expect to find in a big posh department store. But it isn't a stuffy formal department store, it's Boots! No airs and graces are required, you could be going int to by tena lady and haemorrhoid cream - I promise they weren't for me, they were for my sister to terrify her at her baby shower, honest. This Boots has the best product range for cosmetics and toiletries in Glasgow. I'm talking LIz Earle, Bumble and Bumble, Smashbox, Clinque, Chanel, Dior, YSL, Lancome, Benefit, Bare Minerals, Origins, Stilla, Butter, Essie, Dr Jart, Lanolips, I could go on. My only gripe is that they don't have Urban Decay, they used to but don't anymore and I object to buying expensive cosmetics anywhere else - no advantage points! This store is massive! Along with the usual toiletries and medicines you'll find in most Boots, this store has oodles of make up counters from high street names like Revlon and No 7 to more luxury brands such as Clinique and Bare Minerals. The electrical range is also extensive, who knew there were 327 different electric toothbrushes on the market?? But since my son was born, I've really liked this store for the size of the baby & kids area - everything from clothes, to nappies, toys, high chairs, bedding etc. Prices are good and they run lots of offers through out the year such as 3 for 2 across different items and you get 10 advantage points for every pound spent on baby stuff. When I visited today the kids area was much smaller (I didn't see any of the bigger items like highchairs or prams) as the store had all its Christmas gifts out, which is fair enough. Maybe make a list of what you need before you visit here or you could end up with quite a bit in your basket! read more

I love boots ... i know their prices can be a little on the higher side but i love collecting advantage points that i can use to treat myself with. This is my go to boots as like others have said its huge!! It has a wide range of cosmetics counters and for some reason i dont feel so intimidated by boots assistants than what i do like the ones in frasers. I can spend ages and ages just wandering around browsing all the different products and the christmas stock is brilliant in here. My only tiny gripe is that although they have a benefit counter in here they dont have a brow bar. It would be amazing if they opened one up in here! read more

This Boots is the stuff of dreams. It's a pharmacy of epic proportions. They have everything that Boots has ever promised to stock: a pharmacy, opticians, photograph centre, several high-end beauty counters, perfumes, store-brand make-up, all sorts of hair and beauty products, beauty tools (hairdryers, straighteners, shavers), baby products, packed lunches, and even speciality gluten-free food. No word of a lie! It's basically every Boots you've ever been into, rolled into one. It's huge. Since it's located at the Fort, it might just save you a trip into town and various fruitless trips to every other cosmetics store you can think of. What else can I say? Depending on which branch of Boots you go to, you might be unable to find certain makeup brands, however this one has all of them and more. Right in the middle of the bustling Fort shopping park, it's ideal for pretty much everything from grabbing a cheap lunch on the go, to treating yourself to some lovely perfume, or instead just spraying all of the testers if you're really skint. Although Boots can often be a little pricier than other shops of its kind, it really can't be beaten in terms of quality and selection. Especially the food section, where you can get a meal deal for £2.99, consisting of a sandwich, drink and snack, at the price of the individual sandwich alone. This is a great Boots with an optitcian, Photo lab, Pharmacy and one of the largest baby sections. There is plenty of choice for meal deals, Lots of make up counters from no7 to benefit. There are approximately 6 photo machines with a choice of albums and photoframes to choose from. There is a good choice of electrical goods and fragrances to choose from. easy to move around this store but it can get busy. The car parking is not too far away and is free of charge. read more

Huge Boots branch, I felt like I'd walked miles by the time I'd been round the store. When I was in there were lots of promotions on and I got a free Benefit makeover. The staff are nice and helpful. There is an amazing range of everything. There are toilets located at the back of the shop. Large photo area, opticians and chemist. A good sized boots with both a few self service check outs and the usual manned checkouts. The introduction of the self service machines have made a difference to the length of the queue especially at weekends. The staff are mixed some are friendly and others would prefer to stand and talk to their friends rather than be interupted to help a customer this is why they have lost a star. The range of make up is good, perfume stands and photography lab are all a good size. The staff at the pharmacy are knowledgable and help you to get the right treatment. The store also has a good sized baby department selling all the essentials from baby bath to nappies and buggies etc. The store is bright and easy to move around so suitable for all. read more

Definetley the best branch of boots, its massive. The perfume department alone is bigger than some boots stores. There are loads of different make up counters with a member of staff at each one who can help you with those particular products. All the different departments are signposted luckily or you could end up lost! I love this store at Christmas as it always has the best selection of the lovely boots 3 for 2 gifts! There is also an opticians in this branch and they put their avaliable appointments for the day in the shop window. Everything you could need! read more

I like this boots shop, you can browse and try the perfumes without sales people trying to annoy you. They have a great selection of cosmetic counters. massive store in superb shopping mall with lots of parking and stores open until 10pm during the week - and if you're weary from walking round this huge shop then there's plenty of coffee/sandwich shops and italian/chinese etc eateries in the mall read more

I love shopping at this Boots store. First of all it is really easy to get to, being at the Fort with so many parking spaces and great bus links too. It's centrally located in the shopping area and is so big it can offer a huge choice of items for sale. It has a fantastic beauty section as well as a chemist and large children's clothing area as well. The staff are always friendly and helpful and as usual there are lots of in-store offers available to shoppers as well. You'll find lots of designer brands for sale in this Boots store I personally love the Clinique beauty counter myself! read more

This is a fantastic Boots! It's a great size and stocks loads of different products including toiletries and electrical items and has a big make up section with a lot of brands and a sizeable fragrance counter. It also has an opticians in it as well as the pharmacy. At Christmas time, it stocks a great selection of gifts. I have always found the staff in this Boots very nice and extremely helpful! As well as staff manned tills, there's a few self service check outs which is great if you're only buying one or two items. Couple this with the fact it stocks a large range of childrens clothes, etc, this is a store for all the family! Oh ps - it's open to 10pm week days! Brilliant! read more
