I've now lived in CA for almost 8 years and am soooo sad this chain hasn't moved this far west after all this time! I've found nothing like it out here at all. I'm a HUGE thrifter and NBC definitely isn't near as cheap as thrift stores, BUT thrift stores rarely have clothes with store tags on them whereas most of NBC's stuff does have those tags. My sister and I have called NBC the "no holes, no stains" store for years and years because you really have to be careful here with stuff since a lot of it has one or both of those things wrong haha. I haven't been to this location in 4 years or so until last week. In that amount of time, I'll say their prices have certainly gone up, but what place hasn't raised their prices. At this location, note all the super sales are in the wing off to the right of the front door. On the main floor, the sale stuff will be along the walls mostly. You can spend hours in the super sale wing, but be careful for flaws in that section - check for working zippers, missing buttons, rips, holes, stains, and whack issues with stitching (like an arm being stitched closed lol). They do have a decent amount of kids stuff in the back, but that section is an absolute hot mess, especially looking for littler kid stuff (under 6x) like I was. My biggest splurge and best find ever at this store was during my last visit - a $450 All Saints lamb skin leather jacket in my size with store tags still on it for $65! It was a grey tag marked at $112 and that color was 40% off. I couldn't believe what a find this one was! There was only a slight imperfection on the leather that I could see, a tiny line of discoloration, maybe a like a slight scratch that didn't break the leather, but left a small mark. Literally no one will notice, so totally worth it!

They would not let my daughter-in-law exchange her gifts from me. They don't put it in their return policy that you have to have a receipt to exchange. Store manager at Tulsa OK location would not allow her to exchange. Put it in your return policy TJMaxx. She's stuck with $100 merchandise she cannot use! I'll shop where I can in good faith, and policies are clearly stated.

The girls working there were very nice! I spent almost 2 hours in there trying on soo many dresses ‍ They didn't seem put out with me at all! I put my own dresses back on the racks (because I wanted to, I'm a weirdo lol) but I did witnessing how other customers treat the store & employees by leaving extra messy dressing rooms with gobs of clothes but those girls did their jobs well they worked hard and kept up with the chaotic flow of New Years Eve Eve shopping!! Their regular prices are a bit expensive but I rather buy something here instead of a store that has 100 pieces of the same item. I usually take advantage of their 30% and final sale racks. I can always find something I love without fail. I'm obsessed with their summer dresses. Even though I've bought way too many with the same cut/style (it compliments my body AND is comfy), they still look quite different because of the trendy colors/patterns. Their maxi dresses are great too. I've been able to find some cute shirts that are work AND happy hour appropriate as you can pair them with black slacks and funky jewelry. They also have small/fun gifts here so if you're looking for a cute something for a girlfriend, make sure to check out those items. The ladies who work here are always super nice and helpful. The only thing I'm not a fan of is their dressing rooms. While they aesthetically look awesome, with those long curtains and huge loops, NOT very practical since there's no way to fully close them. Anyone (especially kids) can just pull open the drapes and expose you to the world (yes, first-hand experience). So... needless to say, I always dread trying stuff on here due to the lack of privacy but I have to since some of their sizes run small every once in a while... Regardless, I always get tons of compliments on the stuff I wear from here and it will continue to be my go-to boutique.

However, I saw one other man, so I went to his location. I am glad I did, because Uptown Cheapskate had an amazing selection of business casual shirts for men. They were all clean, in good to excellent condition, and reasonably priced. For under $60 dollars, I walked out with five polo shirts and one $10 dollar athletic undershirt. UC also had an unexpected variety of men's dress shoes, Doc Martin boots, and Vans shoes. Frequently thrift store shoes are beaten up, scuffed, and missing 1/3 of the sole from use. The UC men's shoes were all in very good to exceptional condition. The ladies working there were nice even when it became busy.

However, upon exploration, I found great clothes for myself. You will find more modest clothes here which I love (no ridiculous cleavage). Classy and very flattering to your body. Most pieces can be easily transformed from daylight to date night, which is perfect for work and happy hour days. I especially like their dresses. They have gorgeous formal and casual dresses. I also found my favorite pair of jeans for only $19! The style seems very sophisticated to me. If you're in that weird stage where you don't really fit-in with the younger trends and don't want to age yourself either, give Caché a try. Service is great too.
