The staff is very helpful, and the manager kindly shipped a pair of shoes to me free of shipping charges, when I realized I needed a half-size larger. If they don't have my size in a style I want, they will special order it from the factory. I have dress shoes, athletic shoes, sandals, Velcro walking shoes and my current favorite style, loafers in two different colors, that I wore everywhere on a four week's trip to Switzerland last fall. Whether in town or the country, with jeans or skirts, they looked chic and felt so comfortable! I also discovered and purchased wonderful, knee-high, support socks in cute colors and designs, even a Jaguar print and bright polka dots! I have varicose veins and was starting to have painful inflammation, until I started wearing these socks. No swelling or pain now! I highly recommended this Williamsburg store to find what you need to keep "on the go," in comfort and style.

Their stuff is a little pricey, but they also have discounts if you buy two or more of the same item based on the brand. Let's see how the visit went. During my time there, I was the only customer. The store clerk was available for any questions I had for items. My purchase ended up being 2 pairs of jeans which cost just less than $150. Jeans aren't cheap so I already knew the cost would be high. It took some time trying out different sizes, but I was satisfied with my choices. DXL came through for me big time with my purchases. Their big and tall area normally has clothes that would fit better on a hippo. Thank God for DXL Destination XL in Newport News, VA! This place is AMAZING! We walked into a very clean and well stocked store with some of the top name lines of cloth that fit us tall and slim guys. They have brands name from Michael Kors to Ralph Lorean to Gucci, Niki, Levi the whole nine yards. We were greated by everyone in the store. Katherine waited on us asking what we where looking for. I told her I was looking to build my church causual wear and I wanted some khaki pants. She showed us a wide selection that fit perfect. They even take the time to do attorations if needed and they put permanent cresses in your pants if you want. The store was amazingly clean and it smelled wonderful! They had everything a big guy wants from summer to fall and winter clothing. Shorts, tees you name it they had it! Now you may think its a little pricey but you are getting top quality clothing. They even gave us cold water to drink while we wated for the cresses to be put on! This place is 10 stars in my opinion and I will be back!

Mass produced shoes that blah blah blah, I was about to go down a tangent hole. Anyway, I find myself inclined to buy Vans more often than not. Not sure where the love of it came from, but I really enjoy them. It might have been those really flashy ones I bought a long time ago. So being in the area I decided to stop here and give the store a real quick once over. I should have kept myself out of here, but I ended up finding some items that would replace a pair or two of shoes. I browsed a lot looking for my size in every type of shoe they had. It took a while, but I ended up finding two pairs that fit not only my feet, but my style. I headed to the register and was asked how my shopping experience was by the lady behind the counter. I told here it was a bit confusing as the sale signs throughout the store were different. One said, buy any item and get a discounted item free, and the other said, buy any pair of shoes and get a discounted pair for 50% off. She tried to explain it to me why there were two types of signs, but it still didn't make sense. No store holds two different types of sales at once. Once we rung up the sale we knew which signage was right. It was the first one, for the whole store. So I got two pair of Vans for $60, not bad for not really coming in here to buy any shoes.

Checkout seemed long but it went fairly quick. They had a lot of the registers opened and they legit SPRAYED down each register before the next person came which was really nice.

Dust was all over so many products. See photos. The store is very large and houses clothes for women, men and kids. I saw nothing for plus size even in the mens. The largest I came across in the mens was an XL. I'm not sure I'll be back, nor with my 14 year old girl.

There's no baskets or carts in case you go on a shopping spree (as I discovered last month - very annoying) so you will walk around with three pairs of shoes, 4 tees, 2 sweaters and a pair of pants in both arms... My secret? Buy online, and then return in store here. This store is small, they have a fitting room in the center of the store by the check out area, but this H&M covers a good variety. It's a shame they don't do H&M home here yet... The winter collection, especially the booties, are my favorite - check it out!
