My relationship with Belk will continue. I did learn a lesson and that is to check my bag or watch the clerk for accuracy and to ask for an email receipt and a printed one. Thank you Erin for making this situation better! I can now share this updated experience! Keep your receipt IF you get one! I take complete ownership for not checking my bag to make sure the clerk placed it in my bag and not just the items. (it was a group of clerks laughing and having a good time and my clerk was involved in the conversation so guess that is why I didn't receive a receipt). Got home to find that I had purchased the wrong size in exact same item I had purchased previously. The sad part is-I used gift cards so there was no record or way to trace the transaction. Could not even exchange for exact item, only needed different size. My option was to pay more money! Just be conscious to ensure you get your receipt because there are no exceptions. Due to this, I returned $125+ of other merch purchased the same day that I had receipts for and the CC paperwork too all was in my bag but the one receipt! First things first, this man's energy was absolutely infectious! Caleb is a fantastic representative of the 5.11 brand and exactly the kind of person you want interacting with your customers. Like most of the team here, he never once made me feel like I was dealing with a salesman. Instead, I was talking with someone who genuinely knew his products, enjoyed what he was doing, and wanted to make sure I understood the value of what I was purchasing. And THAT makes all the difference! One of the biggest takeaways from today's visit was learning just how strongly 5.11 stands behind its products. Caleb explained their replacement policy and how customers can bring in qualifying damaged merchandise for replacement. I had no idea their customer support was that strong! Suddenly, spending $100 on a pair of tactical pants becomes a whole lot easier to justify when you understand the quality of the product AND the company's commitment to standing behind it. That's the kind of information that builds consumer confidence, earns trust, and turns an occasional customer into a loyal one.
