A friend recommend CPR to me when I mentioned that I was having issues charging my iPad Air. He had…read moreused them several times for his iPhone and spoke highly of their honesty and service. After my iPad completely stopped charging, I decided to try them out. They have clearly marked COVID precautions marked on the door. No more than two groups of customers in at a time (it's a small storefront). Masks are required and hand sanitizer is readily available near the door. I stopped in on a Sat afternoon to get an idea of what might be wrong and what it might cost. I explained to technician the issue and he believed that problem was probably with the charging port which would require micro-soldering. The estimate was $169 with it taking about 7- 10 days. I left feeling satisfied with diagnostic and a $10 coupon for service when I returned, I took it home to backup all my info to the Cloud and came back to CPR the following Thur. Another tech said the owner of the shop was actually in town from OK and could do the repair that night. New estimate was $129, both things were music to my ears! I left it there with request to get a call if they found something else wrong, like my battery. I didn't hear back so checked in on Friday about pickup. It was ready to go and for the second, lower priced quoted. Did I mention the lifetime warranty on repairs? IPad has worked like new since I got it on Friday (it's now Sun night). I appreciated the customer service and speed at which my repair was done. I'd definitely recommend CPR for all Apple repairs and will be back if I need additional help.

My iPad wouldn't charge, took it in, they cleaned the port and now it's fine. I'm so happy!!!read more

This is one of those services that you pray you never need, but if you require it, you're thankful…read moreit's there. I had noticed that one side of my iPhone 5s screen was beginning to push away from the frame of the phone. I'd had a similar issue in 2017, but I let it go and let it go until the phone finally became useless. The new phone had been my replacement, and realizing what had happened to the other one, as well as knowing I was heading on a lengthy vacation, I realized something had to be done ASAP. I came onto Yelp, read the reviews and sent out quote request to the top two, surprised to see that Louisville now has several companies which will do a remote call to your home, office, etc. to make repairs! As JoyTech could respond on Sunday, April 29th (I was contacting them on a Saturday), I went with them. A time and location were set up. I was delighted when I received a call asking if I wanted to set up an earlier time as another appointment had canceled; I jumped on the opportunity and was impressed that they'd taken the initiative to contact me. We met at a neutral location (mainly because I'm in the middle of packing). He was even a bit early. Kenny was polite, has a nice sense of humor, and answered my questions and concerns. I appreciated that he explained each step in the repair process as he went along, so I was aware of what was happening. It turned out the battery was expanding, and therefore pushing against the frame of the phone. It wouldn't be a simple screen repair but a needed battery replacement too. I have to admit - this was my first (and I hope ONLY) time I see the inside of a mobile phone. But he even took a moment to place a new battery and the damaged one side by side so I could see the differences, which were very obvious. Once the repairs were complete, he had me spend several minutes - while he waited - making sure the phone was operational, from making phone calls, to texting, to checking my apps and such. The work took about 45 minutes in total, and I got a nice education in cell phone design along the way! While this was an unexpected expense, it was a necessary one and worth every cent, especially as they came to ME, instead of me trying to get to them! As I stated in the opening, you don't want the need to arise where you have to use a service like this. But I'd highly recommend contacting them first if you have a broken screen, an overheated battery, or any number of cell phone issues.

Was referred to this company by an IT person where I work. This place works and fixes hardware…read moreissues on all electronics devices EXCEPT TVs. My referral called the company while I waited in her office. I got the address and drove there after 5p on a Friday. The store is easy to miss because it's in an unattractive "strip" mall on Popular Level just south of Indian Trail. Once I parked and went inside, I joined several other customers who were either waiting to get their devices or waiting to give their devices. While the waiting room is small, their are chairs for people to sit. The limited (in number) staff gave each customer personal attention. There was one person, who was extremely aggravated, giving the staff a hard time. The staffer expertly tried to deescalate the emotions of the customer. Her skills and tone of voice were the epitome of calmness. I understood the information that she told the customer about his device, but he was already way too frustrated to listen. He spent a few minutes kind of yelling at her. But she remained calm and professional. I thought to myself, " this is the type of person that I want to work on my electronic device". The tension in the waiting area dissipated once the irate customer left and everyone sighed a little relief ‍. Because the waiting area is so small, people just know who is next in line. Plus, I think the staffer keeps a mental note of it also. I offered my device, it's charger and a description of the problem. She told me that the technician would call me after he looked at and determined the problem. However, I should call them if I haven't heard from the technician in a few days. I'd already decided that I'd have to call them, given the bustle of customers in the waiting area. This was fine. A few days later, I called and returned to pick up my device. It was fixed! Plus, the technician gave me advice on ways to prevent the unfortunate occurrence from happening again. I really like the professionalism, and customer service. I will bring any broken device to be repaired here. I could remove one start for location and parking...but I won't because the customer service was so outstanding.
