Seemed unprofessional, rude, and 100% will not be coming back. Unbelievable behavior from a grown woman. Screaming in everyone's face and a very nasty attitude. We ordered the rib blue plate special and they were yummy! We also tried the steak bites which were good but a bit dry. The cheese balls were tasty and the cinnamon wraps were like tiny pastry sticks dipped in a brown sugar sauce. They were sweet!! I had the steak salad which was pretty good with balsamic dressing and a deviled egg on top. Again my steak was a bit dry though still good. The front part of the bar has your typical bar/ barstool seating along with high-top tables. Up the steps and to the rear is a neat lounge area with couches and TVs. And there is a cute little patio area out the back door. Decent selection of local Iowa craft beers on tap. Something for everyone. Although I don't drink it, they do have a selection of whiskey available as well. Stop in and check it out. It's worth it!

We came for happy hour and ordered an appetizer of wings. The wings were fantastic, and the cocktails were enjoyable, but it did take a while for someone to take our order, which was a little frustrating as I was trying to catch the happy hour specials. Eventually, the bartender came over, apologized for the wait, and was super friendly with a great personality. I've also ordered lunch from here several times, and my favorite dish is the Bruschetta Salad, which I get every time. It's a perfect option when dining with a group. Another thing I love about Pub 217 is the seasonal décor - they always do a great job switching it up throughout the year!

The bartending staff were attentive and they poured a good drink. The beer list is on a board on the right-hand side of the bar. When I am in town, it's always a stop I have to make. I love their new stage and live bands when I am feeling like dancing a little or listening to some music. I also love to go when there's a band I like but I feel like relaxing at the bar. I just sit on the bar side away from the crowd and enjoy some nice conversation with my friend. It's nice to be away from the band but still be able to hear the music and enjoy the atmosphere. They have such a selection of liquor but I am going to single out the bloody marys. I had a bloody mary with bacon flavored vodka and I believe a pepper vodka loaded up with garnish and it was AMAZING. They have at least 20 beers on tap and I love to try new ones. Found out about this hipster restaurant in Sterling that has some kind of industrial theme to it…read more It certainly has a kind of out of the way location. The Factory Pub N Grub is found among old factories and warehouses. Among the more interesting places to drink and eat. You can get cheaper beers along with a few vegetarian choices so great stuff. Coming here the first time it wasn't crowded. It's got a bigger than expected interior. The bar is in the middle and there's plenty of tables. A great thing is they have discounted beers. It's about $2 to get beers they're trying to get rid of from previous events or whatever. A lot of the menu is meaty. Still there's a few plant based things. It's about $15 for an Impossible Burger. This comes with the usual burger toppings. Great place with an industrial hipness about it. It's closed Sundays. The menu is meaty but there's a few things for vegetarians.
