The service was second to none, from the hostess/manager Angie, to my delightful waitress Macy. The view of the Illinois River augmented a warm but comfortably rustic setting. I started with an Espresso Martini -- 360 Vanilla, Kahlua, Tia, Espresso & Cream with three delicious coffee beans on top. The cocktail was remarkably flavorful and I am a coffee martini enthusiast. For an appetizer I indulged myself and ordered a staple of any high-end seafood restaurant; Oysters Rockefeller baked in the half-shell. This traditional mainstay was absolutely perfectly cooked with the added twist of bacon. (Everything is better with bacon).
