BEST GUN SHOP IN ALASKA! By far the best gun buying experience in Alaska. Store owner Brad will go…read morethe extra mile to help out his customers. Looking for parts for your AR's or pistols he's got everything and will help you put it on. 10/10 would recommend if your looking for the best in customer service!

Visit to the store, the owner? was polite, friendly and helpful and ordered an item right away for me. We agreed upon a price, he stated it and when I looked at where it said "additional fees" - he answered "no, I won't charge that, said something to the effect or similar of eating the cost. Price was going to be $680. He said I could pay 50% or pay in full, my choice. I paid 50% but then he added fees to the total and it was $353.60. I then received a small receipt that had the amount, etc. no actual receipt or order that stated what it was for, what the total price was, what the item was. So I asked do I get a proper receipt showing all this information? I pointed at an "order type sheet" he showed. He said when it comes in I will call you and we will finish up and do the paperwork, words to that effect. He also then said this was cash price, I paid with debit. Ok. Don't quote and give your word that the total price is $680 and no other fees than. The third time visiting after he had called to let me know to pick up the item, he was pleasant and professional. The woman that helped me at the counter was pleasant and professional. She had me fill out an electronic form, but was called away as was the older man I originally dealt with (owner?) He then told a younger person to finish up the transaction. Paid the other 50% which was $353.60. Ok, not going to quibble about not paying the original price agreed to, maybe he has a different understanding of "total price" that I would pay ($680) and shouldn't have stated a price then make qualifications or change it. Now the problem was with the younger man, when I waited for my receipt (a proper one) One with the item, price paid, ser. number, store name etc. something that is considered normal everywhere else. He refused to give me a receipt, refused to print one up from the computer or write one out. Very smugly he exclaimed he doesn't have to give me one and is not requred to give me one under Alaska law. He does not know the law. He quoted it erroneously. When a customer stipulates, or states that he needs, requires, or would like a receipt of the transaction in order to complete it, BEFORE money changes hands, does not matter if it is by check, credit, debit, or cash, it is covered under the law. This is an agreement to complete the contract and cannot be suddenly refused for any reason. Besides what is their problem of providing a "real" receipt? This is standard business practice and also needed for not only insurance purposes, also legal, proof of ownership, etc. They won't answer their phone, won't let you leave messages, so here is the complaint. All I need is a proper reciept. I keep my word but they don't keep theirs. A person or business that does not keep their word, is one you must be wary of. How odd the outright refuse a receipt. Makes you wonder what is going on over there. The law is clear and don't know why they are forcing me to pursue this further.

Took a ladies only class and was so excited to get to know how to use my handguns. While prepping…read morefor the class, the clearly written requirements included stating a "9MM or larger handgun" which worked great for me as I have a 10MM. I went out and purchased everything I needed for my 10MM for the class. However, when their secretary (?) called me, she said the instructor would NOT allow me to use my 10MM, only a 9MM. Although this really irritated me, my husband took me out and completely set me up with a 9MM that I could use as my concealed carry, this cost us just at $1,000 dollars. I was told I could bring both to class to shoot, but the training would be with the 9MM. When I went to the Friday night meet and greet, I was then told when we were checking our equipment that I would NOT BE ALLOWED TO USE EITHER OF MY HANDGUNS, rather, I had to use one he had in his "rental" fleet. Basically, he decided for me what is best for me even though I already have 2 guns which I need familiarity with, which I thought is what this class was for. Let's review, now I have 2 handguns that I have literally invested thousands of dollars into that I will not have any familiarity with because Steve wouldn't allow it in his class. He said "maybe at the end of the day, you could shoot your own guns." Oddly, other women were allowed to use their personal guns which made me feel literally disrespected and discriminated against. I did choose to go to this training anyways figuring I would get the most out of the instruction of theory and safety, then I could blend in my own guns during the shooting time. I used his larger and what I consider lesser gun for the shooting, but was never allowed to use mine at all until after 5:00 when the class was slated to end at 4:00. I was done with this and simply took all my things and left for the 1.5 hour drive home. Recommendations: The "Classroom" instruction piece was both informative and good. The class gun requirements as written are both misleading and not followed by the instructor. The instructor showed no appreciation nor value in making sure the clients are versed in the use of their own firearms. For this reason and the misleading class requirements, I would not recommend this class to anyone as I felt both disrespected by Steve and duped by their process. If you are a woman older than 60 and choose to go to this class anyway after reading this, prepare to leave upset.

He said he had one a good customer had put half down on, but decided he needed the money to pay payroll. So he said he would apply the deposit so he would only charge my wife $1250! He took my measurements and toured the shop gave me a hat and t-shirt and then drove us to our hotel. I opened the case and explained what I needed, and before I had time to even browse the counter, they had found all the parts and reassembled everything ready to go. They originally quoted me 100 bucks (which seemed fair), but then dropped it to 40$ in the end. The guys working were honest and told me it was easy to do and they happened to find everything they needed. I great service. i highly recommend.
