Best Pasties and baked goods, ever! Sat with the locals and enjoyed coffee and pleasant conversation. Such a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

Kristen herself served us and was so sweet. Prices are VERY reasonable. We tried breakfast…read moreburritos, breakfast croissants, a Kahlua cupcake, and a drip coffee...and clam chowder, which might sound odd if you don't know that they have a soup and salad bar! The Kahlua cupcake was SO GOOD! I mean it's a bakery so maybe I shouldn't have been surprised, but it was a perfect match with a coffee. $2.50 for a cupcake and $2 for a coffee. I would've paid $4 just for the cupcake! The inside had a Kahlua filling that really hit the spot. The breakfast croissant has nice thick bacon with egg and cheese. It would've been a 5 star quick breakfast stop if the croissant hadn't gotten a little soggy being reheated. The burritos and croissants are premade and refrigerated, which I'm not complaining about at all. Just know that the pastry won't stay crisp. Still tastes great for a very fair price. I was very pleasantly surprised by how good the clam chowder was. We got the large size (I think it was, like, $7-something) and it was enough for two of us to share. Nice and hot and hot the spot. I'd definitely stop here again.

We had ice cream in old fashioned glass dishes. Then were enticed by the peanut butter - butter…read morefinger cupcakes, a Kristin original recipe. Not a fancy place but friendly and yummy.

Holy breakfast burrito, yum! I hear from locals that you…read morecan't get anything bad here. So far thanks to others, I've been blessed with donuts and a breakfast burrito - it's apparently really good to freeze so buy multiple, put them in the freezer, and then have them for when you're not in town and really want one! I ate this one cold - it was so delicious!!! (thanks Faye! btw Faye is the owner of The Marcus Daly Motel-stay there if you're needing a place to stay, the best hospitality ever)! I had the pleasure of meeting Elizabeth who helps run 406 too, such a lovely human. I'm looking forward to trying more things here. Only problem is they aren't open late enough for me to get there on the weekdays, lucky for me the locals made sure I got a taste of 406 and I'm excited for whatever is next on my plate! Update 3/12/22: Went back got another burrito, tried a blarney stone =vanilla cake, vanilla glaze and crushed peanuts, and got a huckleberry coconut macaroon! While there, I was blessed with trying their new sourdough bread and I don't usually like sourdough but theirs is delicious! Perfectly crispy crust and soft ,but not chewy, inside...it has walnuts in it too and they give it a pretty purple marble look! Oh... And I overheard people (who were getting donuts on donut day) offered free coffee apparently they do that too!
