We had an earlier appointment in the Mansfield area and finished up around lunchtime. We hadn't been to Boomer Jack's for quite a while and decided to stop in. This new location in Mansfield seemed bigger than other locations we've visited. The hostess seating us was very cordial and friendly. We were seated immediately in the patio area. Of course, with temps in the 100's, all the garage doors were closed. Thank goodness, the AC was cranked WAY down. It was very comfortable. Katie, our server, took our drink order and was patient as we looked over the extensive menu of choices. Finally we made up our minds and signaled to Katie we were ready for her. My wife ordered the chicken fajita nachos and I decided on the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. After a short wait, Katie arrived at our table with out lunch entrees. Looking at my platter, I could immediately tell the sandwich would be a "hot mess" to eat. I cut it in half and tried to eat a half at a time, nope, that wasn't going to work, so I ended up using a knife and a fork. The chick had a nice coating on it and then dipped in the hot Nashville sauce. There were pickles, a bit or mayo and Cole slaw On the sandwich. It was really good, but in my opinion, the chicken lacked salt. It was hot in taste but a bit bland. The fries were very tasty. My wife enjoyed her nachos. The fajita chicken had a wonderful smokey flavor from the grill. One complaint she did mention was the chips got a little soggy and were limp. Overall we enjoyers out visit. This is a run of the mill casual dining/sit-down restaurant. Like the other businesses in this area, Boomerjacks is relatively new, but I honestly wouldn't be able to differentiate much between it and the other spot Nextdoor (54th Street Restaurant) The menu offers what you might find in any other casual dining/almost sports bar family friendly restaurant. There's a lot of fried foods, but with a range of salads, burgers, sandwiches, etc etc etc. the food was fine The service was fine. Our food came out in a timely manner, the manager checked in on us, and we didn't have any real issues. There doesn't appear to be much of a uniform other than the outfit has to be black, because our server was wearing lulu lemon leggings. I also noticed that servers didn't have to have their hair pulled back in, which seemed irregular, but I've also been out of the game for a while. I don't know if it was coincidence or part of the business model, but it looked like all the hosts/hostesses and servers were female. Many of the managers were male, but I couldn't find one server that wasn't female and very young There's plenty of parking. We didn't have to wait long for a table. Some tips: Join their rewards/emailing list to receive deals. We redeemed for a free appetizer (fried pickles), which were tasty We were with my grandma who has difficulty climbing high tops, and they initially tried to seat us at one. We eventually were sat at a lower top, but looking around, much of the seating area was high tops, or higher than normal. We've really enjoyed the addition of Boomer Jack's to the area. Despite being a new restaurant and often crowded, we've never had to wait longer than 10 minutes to be seated. Maybe we've been lucky? I really enjoyed their grilled chicken and shrimp with their seasonal vegetables. We've already been back a handful of times and I'm sure we will return again soon! read more

I think I have a new favorite place for potato skins! With skins disappearing around menus everywhere, it was freaking to see them in a menu and also actually really enjoy them with the amount of bacon and chives you get. I also had fried pickles and split a wing order with ghost pepper flavor and lemon pepper hot. I thought the lemon pepper would have more of a buffalo flavor, but they were still good. The ghost pepper was a subtle heat, not too spicy really. We came in after a nearby sporting event on a Monday night and the place was pretty full as there were a lot of sporting games on the tvs. We sat and ordered quickly and then had to wait for quite awhile for our food. We had 3 kids in the group and after waiting 25 mins for food and the appetizer we ordered (just chips and queso), our waitress finally came back and said the food would be another 20 mins because the kitchen was backed up! We asked if our kids could at least get their food since it was getting late, and our waitress wasn't sure. Luckily the wait was only about 15 more mins but by then we were alls starving and tired only ate enough to sustain and then took the rest home. All in all the experience was okay, but waiting nearly an hour for food (as was everyone else around us) was kind of crazy.. especially for it not to be a weekend. I am writing to share my disappointing experience at the BoomerJack's location in Mansfield, Texas. The restaurant appeared to be understaffed, and the service was poor from the beginning of our visit. After placing our order, we waited nearly an hour for our food. When it arrived, the quality was unacceptable and we had to send it back. The replacement order then took an additional 35 minutes to be remade. When we asked to speak with the manager, Whitney, her response was disappointing. She was condescending, dismissive, and unprofessional in her communication. Rather than offering solutions or addressing our concerns, she focused on explaining that the kitchen was understaffed and backed up. While staffing challenges can happen, customers should still be treated with respect and provided with updates, follow-up, and reasonable solutions. After we sent our food back, Whitney did not return to check on our table, confirm the replacement order, or follow up on our experience. In my opinion, her handling of the situation lacked the professionalism and customer-service skills expected from a manager. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve staffing, food quality, service recovery, and management training at this location. read more

I've now come to the new Mansfield location about 5 or 6 times. I've yet to have a bad experience. The beer is cheap, the food is good, the severs are good (and pretty). We love Genesis and Brittany.. they have both been great servers. We live the atmosphere, its cleans, the staff is nice. We have zero complaints. This is a new location, so I'm going to give them time to work out the kinks. In the meantime, the service was slow and sporadic - we received our fries before our wings (10 minutes before), she forgot to put in the order for our son's pizza until after the rest of us received our food, and she didn't check for drink refills or orders for more drinks after the first refill. She also forgot to bring a couple of the drinks initially and had to be reminded. She was a nice girl and will get better, but the training needs to be a little better for these new, young servers and table runners with no experience. General comments: do they provide the best meal and experience ever...no. Do they provide a better than other restaurants with a similar price point...yes. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and side salad. Sandwich was not hot at all; however, it had a really good flavor and it was prepared well. Side salad was good and actually seemed like it was prepared rather than a salad bag dumped in a bowl. I've seen comparisons to Chill's, and I cannot understand that at all....Boomer Jack's exceeds Chill's by far. While both are not targeting fast food/quick service or fine dinning markets, Boomer Jack's beats Chilli's in every way. Key for star rating: 5 stars: Travel worthy - it's a dinning experience worth investing in. I'm already making plans to come back! 4 stars: No tears - your not going to cry (good or bad tears), but you won't be disappointed. This place will always be on my radar, I won't need to look this up next time I'm looking for food. 3 stars: Good - better than average. Positives outweigh the negative. We have watched many of the world cup games at this location. The management here is horrible. We had a large party and requested tables by the large screen. Not only did they make it impossible to accommodate our large party, they sat 2 or 3 people at 6 top tables next to us. The female manager is rude and dismissive. DOES NOT TAKE ALLERGIES SERIOUSLY!!! just ate at the new mansfield location for my husbands birthday and I have a dairy allergy. we sat down and it took us 30 minutes to even get our server and only got her because i flagged someone down asking if we can get drinks. i informed her i had a dairy allergy and wanted to see if the boneless wings had any dairy because they don't have an allergen menu to see what's in each item. she told me they didn't have dairy in the lemon pepper and bbq. first my meal came out as bbq and garlic parm even though parm is dairy lol. then my correct order came but i was skeptical so i confirmed with my waitress that there was no dairy. after eating a few, a lady from the kitchen runs out saying the batter has dairy in it.... i will now be dealing with a reaction for weeks! all the waitress did was laugh as she apologized and said she felt evil for doing that... read more

Just went back to see if things got better. They did not. I went to the bar and asked for a Voodoo Ranger. They only have cans. I have cans at home. I come out for draft beer. I asked for any other IPA type beers. They had only one. I said OK, I'll take it. After about 5 minutes, the bartender said there was a problem with the keg. But someone was working on it, so I should not lose hope. Lose hope???? Really? I waited another 5 minutes and called the bartender over. She was talking to a young guy who wasn't even at the bar and ignored me. I left and went to 54th Street. Cold beer and good service. Too bad. I was hoping Boomer Jack would have better management. Our first experience at BJG's where we ordered food. our previous trip we just sat at the bar and had a drink to see the place and check out the vibe.......on that day, the bartenders were all very attentive and the TV's with all the games on was incredibly impressive.......on this trip, we all felt the food was delicious, we had the flatbread appetizer, Cobb salad, poblano burger and Nashville hot chicken sandwich - all great - what we did not receive was even marginally average service - we were sat and waited, and waited and waited until we finally got up and went to hostess stand to say something - once our server came over, we realized she had waited on and ran drinks to 2 tables that arrived after us - maybe she didn't know our table was hers? Doubt that was the case because she was pretty much AWOL the rest of the night - our food was run by other staffers, which I like, really appreciate seeing teamwork - and she had no clue how the rewards system worked - we felt like an inconvenience, but again, maybe that's because she didn't think we were her table to begin with - we'll definitely return, but more than likely we'll sit at the bar again read more

My experience at BoomerJack's in Mansfield was extremely disappointing. We put ourselves on the waiting list online and specifically requested booth seating. After waiting 70 minutes, we were finally called, only for the hostess to try seating us near two visibly available booths. When I politely reminded her that we had requested a booth, she immediately responded that those booths were "reserved." She then told us that if we wanted a booth, we would have to go back on the waiting list -- after already waiting over an hour. The situation became even more unprofessional when I asked to speak to a manager. Instead of handling the issue respectfully, the hostess began arguing with me in front of other customers, which was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. The manager was just as unprofessional. Maybe it's a requirement to work there. Customer service and professionalism clearly need improvement. We were patient and understanding the entire time, but the way this situation was handled ruined the experience. read more

Arrived around 1:30 pm on a Wednesday, place was busy, but no problem getting a table. Wednesdays margaritas are $5 all day. We ordered the chicken fried steak and fried catfish dinners, both were very good. Quick courtesy service and food arrived promptly. Fun vibe and reasonable prices. $5 margaritas every Wednesday all day long. Drinks specials Monday thru Friday and three different happy hours every day. Lots of choices on the menu. I am only giving the establishment a 3 out of 5 as it was listed as a place for Team USA World Cup Watch Party and there it fell woefully short. It is a nice clean and spacious setting with three distinct sitting areas (cllimate controlled patio, patio and main bar area). 15 minutes before kickoff of the team USA game over half of the tv's (yes I did count) were on the Rangers game and the sound was not on the World Cup pre-game. The manager explained to us that there had been requests for the Rangers game and that had this been a knockout game that all the tv's would be on the world cup. WAS A MANAGER OF A LARGE SPORTS BAR THAT UNAWARE OF THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE WORLD CUP? Do not advertise yourself as a World Cup Watch party with ZERO idea as to the significance of the event. There was no build up to the game and nothing hyping up the crowd. This was the third group play game for Team USA, maybe all of the actual fans had already realized this is not the place to go and they went elsewhere. There were a lot of people wearing Team USA gear but it was a "politely watch the game while sitting on my hands" crowd. We had an Arnold Palmer, 2 tall drafts (only 4 dollars each), A burger with brisket and bacon, a huge appetizer platter that could probably serve 4 to 6 people, and a chocolate molton cake and the tab came out at 80 bucks - more than a fair price and service was plenty good for where we were. I could see myself enjoying a low key sports experience here and the climate controlled patio would be a great place to take in a game with a group of people who wished to be able to hear each other to socialize but I will never give them another chance as a Team USA Watch Party location. If we had been here with a group of 6 or 8 people and wanted to casually follow a game while enjoying our friends, this experience would have been a 5 out of 5. As a USA watching party it was at best a 1 out of 5. I could not rate it lower than a 3 out of 5 because I blame myself for picking the wrong environment for the USA Vs. Turkey match. I do recommend this location as a low key sports watching venue with good prices, good food and attentive service in a spacious clean environment, but I cannot state strongly enough that this is NOT the place to watch Team USA World Cup matches. read more

Visited this restaurant two times. First was about a week after they opened. I ordered the salmon. Wanting a healthier choice. The grill marks were so chard , I was eating ash. Not very appetizing . I didn't say anything, thinking they just opened and are working the kinks out. Service was very bad. I called it a fly by service. Waitress just walked by dropping items off to our table , dropping and kept walking, no words spoken. FLY BY SERVICE! So I thought I would give them a second chance, maybe opening week mistakes. Worse experience. I ordered an ice tea, waitress dropped 3 packages of pink cancer causing sugars on my table and again kept walking by. When I was able to get her attention I asked her for Splendas. Fly by drop off. I ordered the chicken and shrimp, it came with a salad . She never asked what dressing I wanted and again took off from our table. When I finally got her attention I advised her she didn't ask me what dressing I wanted. She advised me it was ranch, even though I didn't ask for ranch. Then my food came out, I got the chicken and the vegetables, but there weren't any shrimp. Meantime, my husband started eating his food as I was trying to flag down my fly by waitress. I advised her that I didn't have the shrimp that I ordered. She said she would bring them out. The manager returned with a plate of shrimp after I was done my chicken. I didn't order chicken with a side of shrimp. The waitress was rude and took an attitude with my husband. We were embarrassed . Other items we ordered were not right because the young , untrained by management waitress didn't asked follow up questions to our order. Management, this is on you. Train your staff, make them accountable for their rude service and attitude. I won't be giving you another chance and I won't be giving you a good review to family and friends. read more

We came in on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner. This was our first visit to Boomer Jacks. The inside is super nice, bright and not super loud. The food was great and came out fast, order was right and warm. But the highlight of the meal was Kamryn. She has the best smile, was so friendly and sweet! She checked on us multiple times. Didn't even ask if we wanted our tea refilled, she just brought it. That means she is keeping a good eye on her tables and anticipating what they may need. My wife brought me to boomerjacks last night 3/20/2026 and we had a few people with us to celebrate my birthday. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great but the one thing that stood out to my table and me was our server. Her name was Kayleigh. She was amazing. She was so beautiful and so sweet that when she smiled she made our whole table smile. She was very helpful with helping us pick out our food. She was very knowledgeable and she was just amazing. We really enjoyed our visit there thanks to Kayleigh. We will definitely be back and will ask for her specifically to wait on us. all restaurants need servers like Kayleigh.
