This specific store is much smaller than the one in Central London but they still have a lot of stuff in there to browse through. There is anything from DVD's to Books to Action Figures. The staff members are extremely helpful and enthusiastic about the merchandise they sell. I've got nothing but praise for this store as I feel like a little kid when I walk through those doors which can never be a good thing as I will be broke! The store has regular specials and you can get all your comic book needs from them, they have a HUGE selection. They've got something for everyone in there, even if you do not like antiques. I saw a bunch of comics from my youth, a few action figures, tonnes of clothes, books and memorabilia scattered all over the place. The Haynes Market is a maze but a fun one. There is stairs from the first floor to the ground floor where you will discover a few more stalls to browse from. There's three things I've come to expect at comic shops, and that is the wall of new comics, longboxes of older comics and those rarer comics hung up higher. That said A Place In Space is primarily an online operation and the walk in traffic is probably a bound to them so they don't go overboard no the way the shop looks. They have a large variety of comic books form Marvel & DC. They have the current stuff you may like A vs X, current X-men and Spiderman books to name a few. They have an extensive stock of older comic books and the larger graphic novels which have become popular. Every time I go in they seems to have a discount on the price of both the comic books and graphic novels, which I am not going to complain about!! Where other shops of this nature also have a variety of models of comic book heroes this one does not have that many, but as I said the main focus of the shop is the comic book. They have a multitude of comics of which the staff know where they all are. The staff are knowledgable and will let you know they are always getting deliveries and it is possible that the comic you are after may come in soon you just have to check back to see. The big plus for me is that I don't have to go into town if I wish to look for a comic book which is a huge bonus to me. The oldest bookstore in the UK, Hatchards was founded by John Hatchard in 1797. It's been in its current location on Piccadilly since 1801. Hatchards has sold books to the royal family since Queen Charlotte (1744-1818) became a loyal customer. The store holds appointments by royal appointment to King Charles III and Queen Camilla. Beyond its amazing history, it's also just an incredible shop. Several stories, with a gorgeous spiral staircase, Hatchards sells everything: rare books, signed books, Harchards publications (The Hatchards Library), and so much more. My husband and I spent less than hour browsing Hatchards (in different sections; I lost him for a while), and we left with maybe 8 books. The store is so well stocked, I kept finding more books I wanted to take home. The customer service was friendly at checkout, which was the cherry on top of a great store. It is simply one of the nicest bookshops I've ever had the pleasure to shop at.
