This store is full of people with BAD attitudes. The first time I was offended happened about three weeks ago, I was waiting in line to place my order for a coffee ( The quality of the food is above average if you can get pass the rudeness that emits from every employee but three) It was probably a 7 or 8 minute wait till I reached the front of the counter. The women knew she had another customer behind the previous one but still decided to start cleaning up the sink, I am a reasonable person so I wasn't alarmed at this point.. I let her finish the sink, I figured she would approach me after, then she started on another cleaning project, and when I said " Will you take my order please?" she said "No you can hold on a second" I just walked directly to the manager on duty and told her what had happened, and she told me " she is a great employee, you probably did something to deserve it" I was absolutely shocked, I left immediately. Now this other employee "lulu" I think is her name is the rudest employee I have ever cam across ever in my life. Here are some of the recollections of my encounters with her. Today she was the first employee I saw available, so I came up to her and asked if she would help me find a book (we were ten feet away from the customer service/ book searching station) she mummered something in an annoyed voice.. I said" what did you say?" Lulu raised her voice and exclaimed," I SAID IF YOU WOULD GO TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DESK I'LL CALL SOMEONE TO GO LOOK IT UP1'' I said " I'm sorry if you were busy , I didn't mean to bother you. You don't need to raise your voice that's really fucked up." she said whatever and walked off, I've never had an employee yell at me before. there was a manager cloe enough to were she must have heard it but she did nothing at all!! So this leads me to believe that she does this kind of thing all the time, and apparently it's satisfactory for patrons to get yelled and ordered around at Books-a-million. I don't feel up to writing all the long stories about the different times lulu has disrespected,insulted, or just flat out not helped me so I'll just list them; she has raised her voice at me. she has straight denied me service because "she was busy". she sometimes has an attitude like your bothering her. she acts like your asking the world of her and it makes you feel guilty for asking for help. She isn't always like this but then again this should NEVER happen, and apparently BOOKS-a-MILLION likes this sort of behavior because she is working every time I go in there.
