My husband and I stopped in here to browse. It is a huge bookstore with two rooms to it. One room has a study area and there is a children's corner in the back. Each section is clearly labeled but there are tons of books squeezed so tightly together that may make it a bit difficult to find things. The man at the desk was very helpful and told me that all books in here are "used". I asked how does the store acquire them. He told me many are donated or some are just left in the store and they find them. He also sells a small array of beverages and a couple of sweets. In addition to books you will find some old record albums as well. He asked if I was looking for something in particular. Oddly enough I was and gave him the title. He searched the online inventory but sadly did not have it in stock. He did say he would be on the lookout for my book since it was about the life of the late Lou Costello. I didn't inquire about prices because being used I'm sure they would sell for less money but it would take time for me to "pull a book" I would like and then check over the condition of it to see if I'm paying a fair price. Nevertheless, it would definitely be of good use for students who are looking for used books at reasonable prices. Standing in their window is a nutcracker display of Scrooge for the holidays. Instead of money I guess he would be counting books here! Located on North 4th Ave in downtown Steubenville, 2 hour metered parking is available across the street.

MY HEART IS OVERWHELMED WITH JOY. Wow. Bookmarx is such a wonderful place. The owner Peter is incredibly friendly and kind. I got to chat with him for a bit while the cat Raven hung out in my lap. The selection of books is delightful. This is a great place to spend time studying or writing letters. I will go back again and again!

    So many great things here!

Love that there is a hole-in-the-wall style book store in little ol' Wooster. It's just one of many…read moreshops that really "make" this little town. This shop has two floors packed to the brim with about any kind of book imaginable. An entire children's section, foreign language books, old collectors books, and more. If you wanted to put together a bookshelf full of classics that actually look like classics in worn, brown leather binding you could definitely get your start here. There is every section you expect from a book store. An extensive collection of fiction starting at the front of the store, with classics and nonfiction in the back and upstairs. The children's section is also upstairs. There are a few places where you can sit and read. This being a primarily used book store, you can sell and trade too. Highest dollar is given for nonfiction, with hardbacks being at the top of that list. You can sell your books outright with no obligation to use the money as credit only. However, like with most trade-in places, you will typically get more value if you apply it in credit than if you take it in cash. Absolutely worth a visit, even if you're just looking to browse the day away in town.

Half Price Books is a retail-store chain that has stores in many states and buys and sells new and…read moreused books, DVDs, records, CDs, puzzles, and more. This particular store is in the Village Square Mall. For many years, I purchased books through the business's website. Most recently, my husband and I shopped in this physical store. My husband felt interested in looking at books about software and gaming. He saw some books that he liked. However, he saw one book that he already owns and that he said was not worth the $75 price tag. Otherwise, I felt interested in the books about photography, film, pets, and the social sciences. This store has many other sections of books, including home repair, interior design, gardening, fashion, architecture, cooking, history, science, travel, language, crime, children's, etcetera. Some books are collectibles such as first editions and signed copies. This store also sells calendars, greeting cards, board games, and more. I will give a neutral rating for this physical store, because the business's website has a significantly larger selection of merchandise that is available for shipping.
