He asked for modest and fair progress payments along the way to pay for his dump fees and worked hard with a crew over several days, late into the night to meet his deadline. The crew was generally very respectful and even set aside items they thought has particular meaning or value for me to inspect (when they found hand drawings or jewelry for example).
