We explored both floors and kept finding more classic arcade games around every corner. I was so excited to play Street Fighter again, and yes, I got completely sucked into air hockey too. Downstairs, the pinball machines line the walls, and there are so many to choose from. We also played Dance Dance Revolution until we literally couldn't catch our breath. What we thought would be a quick stop turned into over an hour of nonstop fun. Whether you're feeling nostalgic or introducing someone to old school arcade games for the first time, this place is absolutely worth a visit. He's a little young yet to get into the old school arcade games but we had a good time on the racers and he's just starting to get down with pinball which they have a lot of. We often go to Pinball Pete's but this is a great alternative. They don't have the skeeball or some of the larger games, and there isn't a prize counter but for the cost and location I much prefer The Arcade. He and I can play for $40 where D&B or Pete's is more like $50-100 if we're both playing.

The owner is dedicated to this pursuit and clearly loves pinball. This love comes through in that he keeps his machines in perfect condition. Why? Because PINBALL! Besides food, pinball is my other obsession. Yes, I'm walking distance from a great place in Ann Arbor and I work close to a modern monstrosity of an arcade/entertainment center. But there are machines I wanted to play that according to the good people at the Pinball Map could be experienced in Monroe. So I made the drive. My understanding is that Michiganders will drive a few hours at the drop of a hat, so what's 40 minutes to satisfy a craving. Egads! This place is amazing. I do wish there were more folks there taking advantage of all the fun. The new John Wick table was there. The colorful Elton John machine had a spot. My kid's favorite Toy Story 4 was there in its animated glory. I regret that I did not drop any quarters into Pulp Fiction, but first I wanted to show the kid the movie so that the pin might make a bit more sense. Machines were in good shape, and like a proper arcade they accepted quarters. None of this magnetized card swipe nonsense. Older machines were $.50. Many of the newer ones were three plays for $2 which is pretty much the standard these days. I do wish there was an attendant onsite. Instead there is a security camera. The whole thing feels just a bit sterile, but I feel like that could be fixed with more pinballers flipping their faces off. It's even worth braving the creepy mall to enjoy these machines. I'll be back without a doubt. Probably much much sooner than one might imagine.

One time, a friend visiting me wanted to go go-karting so I bought us tickets. It was $25/person to go around about 7 times. I was given a kart that couldn't turn right unless it super slow so I had to slow down drastically every time. I eventually got ran into which put my kart out of commission for the rest of the rounds. It was no fun at all and I should have been offered a refunded since I couldn't even do the activity I paid for properly. I've also done this selfie golf which is okay but it just wasn't for me. I could tell it wasn't well cleaned or maintained. I've tried both of the bars which had great bartenders both times. The drinks are way overpriced just as the food is as well. It's about $25 for some chicken wings which they didn't even bother to try to make look good on their menu. Your first time there, you have to spend a minimum of $20 just to get a pass and some of the popular games aren't even working properly. You can get this thing called a rainbow pass where you can play certain games unlimited for a set period of time but it limits you to only the shooting and driving games which get tiring after 15 minutes. Overall, I really wouldn't suggest people going here unless you want to take a loan out for mid-tier games and overpriced food.
