I didn't hear from them after sending the message and tried following up the next week. An attorney called me from the firm and could tell right away he didn't want to be bothered. I will admit i was very emotional when i wrote the message as the incident just happened and perhaps legally my termination was not technically unlawful but the attorney was very condescending and didn't seem to want to even listen to me. After paying half of the attorney fee, we were informed that document review would take up to 4 weeks, which was never mentioned during the initial consultation. This delay was frustrating, especially since we were eager to file the petition quickly. On top of that, after waiting several weeks, they requested additional documents, further extending the timeline. I understand every firm has its process, but I believe clients should be informed about expected review times and internal policies before making a payment. I'm sharing this so others can be aware and ask the right questions upfront.

Most importantly, he took his time to educate us on with some of the bankruptcy laws that affected our case. His knowledge and experience was clearly demonstrated on our initial phone call. Starting our bankruptcy case with another attorney, we were skeptical and wanted to choose a replacement lawyer that we can trust to successfully complete the bankruptcy case. We found that lawyer in Vaisman because of his prompt response via email, text, and phone. He was always available to answer all of my questions (e.g., day/night, weekdays/weekends). In addition, his demeanor instilled confidence and thus, we always felt comfortable that Vaisman will handle all situations with the case, even if the case was complex. Sometimes, clients similar to us can be in a desperate situation. However, Vaisman never took advantage of our immediate needs and required a reasonable fee for his services.
