The sign on the door read "cash only," which frustrated me a little because I had just called ahead to make sure they were open, and they didn't mention this on the phone. I didn't have enough cash on me for a haircut and tip so I walked over to a nearby target to buy gum and get cash. I wish I had been told to put my name in first because it took me close to an hour to be seen, and there were only 3 people ahead of me. I walked in the door and was greeted, but not in the most pleasant way. More of a "hello" and a 'what are you do you want/who are you' look from the stylists. It would have been nice if one of them had said "we are only taking cash at the moment," or "do you need help signing in" or anything. The TVs play reruns of sporting events which is fun unless you've already watched them. This location actually has a couple marketing posters and signage where they covered a models eyes with google eyes, and I thought that was kind of funny. I also like that the the behind the check in kiosks shows your wait order, a wait time that is updating in real time, and some other information. My stylist was evidently new on the job as I could tell this person had to have someone step in on the previous patron who was getting a haircut. This individual was incredibly kind and I enjoyed my conversation with them, but a couple times someone had to step in to "fix" the work with my haircut. I could tell this person was eager to learn, and I applaud this, but I didn't want to be the Guinea pig. I'm not overly thrilled with my haircut, but it could have been worse. At least my stylist felt comfortable asking for help instead of confidently cutting and hoping it was good enough. Both this individual and the person who stepped in were very kind, and I do appreciate that. Some tips: I would definitely recommend checking in online. This will save you a lot of time. I also recommend that if you find a stylist you like that knows your hair type and give you the haircut you want, remember that name and request them in the future. The Sport Clips off Stell I really do think my trainee stylist was one of the nicest stylist I've ever had. Also, while they have plenty to learn, I think their technique actually looked very professional in a lot of ways. In time I think they will be one heck of a stylist. Cheers!

Okay I'm gonna start off by saying love Sport Clips. Been using them for years, locations may vary…read morebut anytime I want a hair cut no matter where I am I look for them. Giving a review like this kind of hurts but needs to be brought up! So I got off work yesterday 6:00pm downtown, live in the Spring area and wanted to wait for traffic to die down. Closest one was this location and Jackie was my stylist. We hit it off, chill to talk to, good personality, etc. Problem turned out being she can't listen to a customers request to save her life. I requested a 5 on the sides and back, high/tight fade where everything blends on the top and touch up the top. Word for word. She ends up giving me something shorter than a 3! I'm assuming 2! Also, the damn girl took off like a centimeter of the back of my hair and balded me when I didn't ask for it at all! Like what!? Also the top looks uneven with the rest of my hair now because the sides and back are too short. She put a product in my hair (again didn't ask) and did something to where I couldn't see how bad the damage was until I got home. I didn't want my hair this short! Now I have to wait for time to go by for it to grow out again, find a sister location that's closer to me and get my top touched up. Will be paying VERY CLOSE to what they're doing and be very specific. If they mess it up, someone will probably have to call the cops. Ha jk ish. This is the worst of the worst and when it happens idk why I use this company. I have had experiences not with this location but where I ask for a tight blend where everything merges at the top of my head. The stylist will leave it longer than I want. As a loyal customer so far anyway SPORT CLIPS LISTEN UP. TEACH YOUR STYLISTS TO DO WHAT THE CUSTOMER REQUESTS SPECIFICALLY. Don't go letting them out they're own twists etc into what they think looks good! If Jackie had asked about balding me I damn sure would've said no. Side note: I did tip her but now I want my money back. Didn't know I was balded and the top of my head was so uneven when I left. Hair was still damn and she put some product in to make it look decent and I was in a hurry. P.S I hate products. I'm a natural, get out of bed, surfer hair kind of guy. Didn't think whatever she did made THAT MUCH difference in the moment.
