Our first time to a Bonefish Grill and it was a nice experience! My husband had the fish and chips and I ordered the salmon - the salmon was the star of the night. It was delicious, I'd definitely order it again. The ambience was nice - great date night vibes, a step above casual as far as the setting but there were people dining in all sorts of attire, so nothing crazy in terms of clothing formality. The manager came and asked us how our dinner was, and spoke to us about it being our first time dining at a Bonefish Grill - our server was also extremely nice and on top of things the whole evening, awesome customer service all around. This is in our local area so we'll definitely be back for a date night, we enjoyed ourselves.

Great food paired with a chic atmosphere and good-humored staff make for a great evening out! I had to include a picture of the bread plate, because it was some of the fluffiest, crunchiest bread I've been served before a meal. Definitely take a look at seasonal and weekend specials, because the Linguini Del Mar special is a winner.

It's warm, inviting, and the food and company are simply top-notch. You'll leave feeling relaxed, smiling, and thinking, "Great choice!" and "We'll definitely be back." Here's a little more about it: you're greeted with a smile, asked how your day is going, and given some information about the restaurant, specials, and seating. Everything moves at a leisurely pace. You'll get to know the menu, order with plenty of questions answered, and enjoy your meal while relaxing, chatting, and listening to the sounds of others enjoying themselves. The atmosphere is comfortable, with the waitstaff gently checking in to see if there's anything they can do for you. Overall, it's a real upgrade from most places nearby. The food is fantastic, but the people and service truly make it special. You might spend a lot of time searching, but you won't find anything better until you get to Tampa, and then you'd have a hard time finding a place like L'Attitude 28. Go ahead, enjoy it!

We made our reservation over a month ago and were confirmed for the Captain's Quarters private room. When we arrived, we were told we were "never promised that room," which simply wasn't true. We were then informed that another group was in the room and they "didn't expect them to stay so long," so we were placed at a loud table by the bar with no privacy at all. From there, things only went downhill. There was no coordination of our meals, they forgot to bring the salads we had arranged for, drink orders were missed, and then we were told they had run out of steaks. For a planned group reservation, the service felt disorganized and chaotic. Overall, it was a complete mess, and I would not recommend this restaurant for large groups or for anyone counting on their reservation being honored.

Our party ordered salmon, fried shrimp, fish & chips and Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Our meals were filling, and what we couldn't eat came home with us! We are definitely returning for the fried shrimp!! We brought cake which Sarah expertly delivered to the table once we were done with dinner. To start off with it took 15 minutes for somebody to even offer us water and the dining room was not even 1/4 full. The waitress was nice enough not very attentive though. Now let's talk about the food. There was not much value for your money. They should be drawn and quartered for calling what they call the Cioppino a cioppino. I've had some of the best cioppino in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as the Oregon coast. What this place called a cioppino was more like tomato soup with some seafood thrown into it. The fish was overcooked so were the shrimp . I could have thrown them off the table and they would have bounced across the room. It was so bad I had to send it back for a refire. My fiance had the seafood pasta the scallops were undercooked and the shrimp were rubber. Needless to say the food was not worth what we paid for. I would avoid this restaurant at all costs.

So, no substitutions. The menu says so, the server will remind you, and honestly? It's a chef driven menu. Interesting background, too: Chef/owner James Renew spent 28 years training with chefs across Florida, Las Vegas, and Sydney before opening Estuary. Apparently, they've been voted among the best restaurants in the Tampa area two consecutive years running. It shows. We started with the crab beignets -- crispy, golden, and paired with a jalapeño aioli that managed to be interesting without setting your face on fire. Nicely done, though I wouldn't have minded a little more kick. The steak frites were the star of the show. The steak was cooked absolutely perfectly. The fries? Cooked in duck fat. DUCK FAT. Honestly, tasted like fries to me -- and a little underdone at that. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly proud of the place -- rightfully so. The Buffalo Trace Manhattan on the rocks was dangerously good. Drinks all around were solid. Total came to just over $100 for two before tip -- fair for this quality. Fair warning though -- they tack on a 3% credit card surcharge. Unnecessary and a little annoying at this price point. Nice higher end restaurant in the new downtown. Reasonable prices without being pretentious. We'll be back.

The service was good, and the atmosphere makes it a nice local spot to meet up with friends. However, the inability to modify your meal/sides at all was frustrating. The food, flavor, and what tasted like literal microwaved mashed potatoes was disappointing to say the least and definitely did not justify the price point. Overall, it just wasn't worth it for us, but I can see how others might still enjoy it for the ambiance.

I had written this place off after a change of ownership left it with subpar food and indifferent service. My wife kept going back and insisted things had turned around. She was right. I hate when that happens. Mid-Saturday afternoon, good crowd, zero wait. Drinks first -- Tito's Moscow Mule for me, Angry Orchard for her. Both spot on. I ordered the blackened shrimp tacos: corn tortillas, slaw, slightly spicy aioli, topped with thin pickled red onions. Very, very good -- and I don't hand out two "verys" lightly. The Mrs. had the bang bang shrimp flatbread, which was tasty enough that she only shared one bite. Our server Mia was fantastic -- attentive without hovering, asked all the right questions, kept things moving perfectly. The ambiance is still the star. Right on Lake Tarpon with their own marina -- come by boat if you can. Just don't swim. About 16 miles of gator-infested shoreline out there, so admire the view from dry land. There's a 3% credit card surcharge, which I have opinions about, but it happens to match my cash back rate so the universe balanced out. One hard-earned tip: do NOT sit outside near sunset. We made that mistake once and were swarmed by mosquitoes the second the sun went down -- full aerial assault, no survivors. The view through a window is just as nice, and you'll keep all your blood. Glad they turned it around. We'll be back.

Very good atmosphere, though there is restaurant trash in the lake. Service: The service was decent, nothing special. I love the atmosphere, but price for quality isn't here. Food is not worth the price tag in the slightest. I came to this conclusion based on taste, and portions. Call me a snob, but none of the silverware matched, either. Now, I can overlook all of the above when the food is amazing. But it wasn't. Some of it was awesome and some was blah. The hush puppies were excellent! Made fresh. Not the machine made round balls you can get anywhere. The flavor and the remoulade sauce were perfect. I got a container of Ken's blue cheese with my salad. That was very disappointing. I expected house-made dressing as the menu stated. The seafood was definitely fresh and the serving size was good. My friend's grouper look great and he said it was good. But something was lacking in presentation. Big, fluffy and fell apart perfectly but looked a little sad on the giant plate. No parsley or greenery. Too much yellow. Yellow rice and veggies were mostly red & yellow peppers. The garlic bread was dry and had little to no garlic. Now I'll get to my disappointing dinner. One of my favorite meals is shrimp and grits. Definitely not my favorite version. The blackened shrimp were fresh, a good size and plentiful. Served on a pile of plain grits sprinkled with cheese and scallions. No roux, no sauce, no butter, no seasoning, no nothing. Whoever put this recipe together has never had Southern shrimp & grits nor had they ever Googled a recipe for shrimp and grits. It was the saddest meal ever. Keep in mind, this is the only time I've ever been to this restaurant. However, my impression is the owners love seafood and have been supplying seafood to this community for ages. And seafood is at the top of my list of things I could eat for the rest of my life. However, I feel that they have no cooking background whatsoever. Cooking, seasoning, and presentation all felt lacking. But as advertised the seafood was amazingly fresh and they definitely get kudos for that. I will probably give them another chance as this was my first visit and this is their second restaurant, so there must be some kind of redeeming factor. Maybe next time.
