He advised me that a knee replacement requires physical therapy and it would be hard work on my part. I completed physical therapy and my knee is good as new. Eighteen months later, he replaced both hips, one in January of 2019, and the other hip the end of February. Surgery went well and I was recovering nicely until I fell on the second hip after a week and split the top of my femur. Dr. Bielema had me back at Metro Hospital for revision surgery the next week. He answers all my questions, doesn't hesitate with the truth. The office staff is great too. I would recommend him very highly.

Gave Dr Willard a try at MPC, and found that he doesn't even do an exam (but bills for one!), and…read moremoves right into injections on the same visit. When you do repeated injections in the painful area and it doesn't help, he tries to shame you into continuing the injections anyway. If he had bothered to review my prior MRI or order a new MRI (and any good practitioner would have), he would have found that it was referred pain from a severe back problem that can't be fixed with injections and requires surgery. My advice is to try somewhere else that isn't just a needle-jockey mill.

Staff was very nice and checked to see how much longer before I would go into an exam room..said I was next. After waiting an additional 15 minutes, I informed staff I was leaving. I heard them call my name as I was walking out the door but decided I didn't want to deal with the wait every time I needed to return. I'll be looking elsewhere.

After my first visit with him, he recommended MRI scans as well as a back brace. Only to wait a month for them to get the authorization in for my insurance. And what is worse is that I reached out to them multiple times asking for updates and it always goes to voicemail. It is as if they are ignoring my calls. Ive also left multiple voicemails to call back and Ive only gotten one call back. Also after getting in touch with my insurance they informed me that there has been no request for authorization from them about the back brace. So not only did they lie saying they submitted it but also lied saying that we were waiting for insurance authorization. In all honestly after waiting so long I have decided I will not be returning due to the inconvenience. I would also not recommend this place to anyone. Dr. Vasiu does not take time to listen to his clients. He constantly talks and does not give you time to respond or express your own concerns. I would not recommend this place and insist on looking elsewhere.

Then I had something happen while vacationing that confirmed that I had the access to the best care in West Michigan through this office. After falling on a rock and doing serious tissue and muscle damage as well as exposure to unknown pathogens I had to fly 17 hours back to GR arriving on a Sunday and waited to call Dr McCorry's office Monday morning. He asked me to come in immediately and gave me the medical attention my situation required to head off infections and further damage due to potential blood clots. They began a comprehensive treatment plan that found me seeing the specialists that could diagnose and treat my wounds and carefully monitored my progress over several weeks. It is my belief that without that continued support and immediate care my situation could have easily resulted in nerve damage and serious infections. Two days ago my knee began to swell and hurt with intense burning and pain. I went to Zeeland hospital where they took an x-ray and said it's not broken. (I already knew it was not broken!) they wrapped it up and sent me home with a note it was a sprain. Next morning my knee was all bright red. Frustrated with the hospitals results I called Crystal, at Shugula's office! I had explained to her the situation she was able to squeeze me in to be seen!!!!! Johnny on the spot! Dr. Joe Had me take off the ace wrap. He Examined my knee structure made a funny face and said" I think you have an infection in your knee!" He suggested to go To Holland Hospital. I am a 100% disabled Veteran with severe combat PTSD, who is terrified of doctors and hospitals…read more After I returned from the 1st Gulf War, I was among the very first to be diagnosed with Gulf War Illness, and was ordered to go to a major hospital for a years worth of extremely invasive and painful medical experimentation. Since then, going to the doctors is the absolute hardest thing to do in my entire life. I discovered I had 2 kidney stones after an E.R. visit at Metro Hospital, one large and one small. The large one was threatening to fall into my ureter and block it off, which would have been a disaster. The VA sent me to Urological-Consultants Of Grand Rapids, where I saw Dr. Dehaan. Both he and his entire office staff were very kind to me, as I told them the above-mentioned details of my fear of doctors and hospitals. Dr. Dehaan scheduled me for the least invasive procedure possible, a Shockwave Lithotripsy, where there is no incision, which I really appreciated. When I arrived for the procedure, Dr. Dehaan had already informed everyone at the surgical center of my deep seated medical fears, and they were all so very kind, patient, accommodating and understanding, that it really touched my heart. Though it was still very difficult for me, they made it as easy as they possibly could, and I am forever grateful to each and every one of them! From the technicians, my main Nurse, Mary, all of the other Nurses, Anesthesiologist and of course my surgeon, Dr. Dehaan, they were the best medical team I have ever dealt with! Dr. Dehaan did an absolutely magnificent job shock-waving the 2 kidney stones, crushing them into tiny grain of sand sized pieces, that I promptly peed out within the first 24 hours of the procedure! It only took me 2 days to get back to full activity, including weight lifting and pull-ups, which was simply amazing to me! If I ever have to have anything Urologically related done again, I will not go to anyone other than Dr. Dehaan and his staff, and I highly recommend that anyone reading this, that requires Urological help does exactly the same thing, you will NOT regret it!
