Sama was so good that we went twice during our Puerto Rico trip and honestly, I would've gone back…read morea third time if we had more time. This is a smaller, more intimate restaurant, so definitely make reservations ahead of time because seating is limited. But from the second you walk in to the moment you leave, the service is absolutely incredible. The staff makes the entire experience feel so warm and welcoming that you genuinely don't want the night to end. Huge shoutout to the chef because every single dish was executed flawlessly. You can tell that every detail on each plate was intentional and thoughtfully done. The standout dishes for me were the elote ribs, which were unreal, the grilled octopus cooked perfectly tender, and the ceviche con leche de tigre, which was bright, fresh, and packed with flavor. But the real star of the night was the whole branzino absolutely phenomenal. And for dessert? Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of the options. We ordered one of each for the table and genuinely could not pick a favorite because every single one was that good. Hands down one of the best dining experiences we had in Puerto Rico.

Service was abysmal- like worse than substandard, even for island time. 30 minutes after being…read moreseated, we still had no drinks in front of us and our waiter only offered 'specials' were appetizers.... Not going well for a Saturday night fine dining experience, right??? We were also told at that time we had to place appetizer and main orders at the same time -- keep in mind I've not yet placed a drink order... No seafood tower... it was retired on the menu yet we came almost 3,000 miles for it), and a fine dining menu that came super far from even being close to fine. No celiac options and while billed a great option for fresh inventive dishes, we found this place a huge let down and not willing to try. The front end staff needed a lot of help. The menu looks unrehearsed and neglected. I was glad to not spend my money here. Thankfully, we could leave before the $50 bottle of wine we ordered arrived. We went elsewhere!

It was a warm afternoon though, so we opted for eating inside. Both my husband and I had the Lasagna. There were some specialty versions on the menu, but all we wanted was a more traditional Lasagna with ground beef. We asked our server if they could accommodate our request and they had no problem doing this for us. Well, the result was probably the best Lasagna I have ever had! The meat sauce was thick and incredibly tasty, with the perfect balance of Pasta, Meat and Cheese. I can't recommend this Lasagna enough!! Our Server was also wonderful. She was attentive from beginning to end.

Incredible Flavors and Creative Dishes - Sorriso is a Gem!…read more If you're in Puerto Rico and love bold, flavorful food, you have to check out Sorriso. I tried their Tripleta Pizza with Coconut Bread, and it was out of this world! The combination of juicy meats and that sweet, soft coconut bread crust is genius -- every bite was rich, satisfying, and full of island flavor. I also had the croquetinies, and they were the perfect crispy, creamy bites -- great texture and full of flavor. You can tell everything is made with care and creativity. The vibe at Sorriso is warm and welcoming, and the staff is super friendly. This place knows how to mix comfort food with a twist. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in town!
