I called a few places where they did not accept rescue care. I was very impressed with the quality of care and bedside manner for the pet and for myself as this is my first time taking a an animal to the vet they were very patient with my questions and teaching every single healthcare, professional and caring and Understanding.

I understand that many times veterinary hospitals receive negative reviews because we are in a heightened emotional state when our pets are sick or in crisis. But my experience here was the complete opposite, and I feel it's important to recognize the incredible care they provide. I rushed my beloved dog, Bella, in during a medical emergency, not knowing just how serious her condition was. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff treated us with such kindness, patience, and compassion. They took the time to thoroughly explain her diagnosis and condition in a way that made me feel supported and informed during one of the most overwhelming moments of my life. What stood out most was not just how they cared for Bella, but how they cared for every animal in their ER. I witnessed firsthand how attentive and gentle they were with pets whose owners weren't present--comforting them, monitoring them closely, and treating each one with genuine love and respect. That meant everything to me. Tragically, Bella passed away the very next day. When I returned for her cremation, the staff showed me an incredible level of compassion. They comforted me in a way I will never forget. In such a painful moment, their empathy and kindness brought me a sense of peace that I didn't know I needed. I am beyond grateful for the care, dignity, and love they showed my sweet Bella--and for the compassion they showed me. Thank you for everything you do for our pets and for the people who love them.

They tried to say my pet needed another rabies vaccine (which lasts for 3 years) that he just got last year. I had to be the one to correct them on their false records with absolutely no veterinary experience. The vaccination he WAS due for should have been simple and to the point but of course the staff again gave me the wrong information. The woman I spoke to told me there would be no office visit fee since I had already paid for it my last visit. Two days before the appointment I get a voicemail that they made a mistake and will charge an extra $104 for an office visit on top of the vaccine. When I called to get this sorted out I was given the run around and was asked "what did the lady sound like that you spoke to"? I'm sorry do you want me to reenact her voice to you? I understand that mistakes happen but these were two big blunders on their part and the least they could have done was simply waive the office visit fee. Instead the receptionist was nasty, rude, incompetent, and unprofessional. This place is clearly going down under and hurting for money if they are trying to get you to come in a year later for a vaccine that lasts 3 years. Crooks. Avoid at all costs.

We first spoke to Jasmine and she explained everything and told us so much about Dr. Sara. So, the date was set and Dr. Sara came to our house. Dr. Sara was very compassionate and caring. She really walked us through the process and explained every step thoroughly so we would know what to expect. She allowed us all the time we needed to hold Nala, talk to her and give her a loving goodbye. Trust me, in the future (hopefully not needed), if ever we need these services again, we will be calling on Dr Sara at Home Heart Vets. A Pet Family in Boston

We said goodbye to our 15 year old (my forever baby) after discovering his incurable cancer. We knew that he needed immediate assistance (he could not hold on for more than a day or so) and we reached out to HomeHeart Vets requesting a same-day appointment. Dr. Samantha Shone made time at the end of her day to come to our aid. Immediately we could tell that she had a kind and compassionate heart, and she was extremely supportive through the whole process. She allowed us to feed him ice cream (his favorite human treat!) as his final memory before drifting to sleep. We spent time cuddling him and saying goodbye before he went on his last big adventure. After this experience, I've realized that allowing your pet to pass at home on their bed surrounded by their family, soft lighting, and a very kind doctor is truly the biggest service a guardian can provide. For anyone who needs this service, HomeHeart Vets is a compassionate choice.
