It's more modern compared to the original store in Madison or WV, but it is still an experience! This place gets lost in the sea of boutiques all lined up in one concentrated section of Prince Street, but this place is where it's at! This is such a niche brand, because who ever highlights their creators before the brand? Which brand gives them absolute creative freedom to do whatever they want without any constraints whatsoever? You can do the quiz here to find out which fragrances would be suited for you, so it's fun to do just to see what it would suggests. I personally like the right side of the display section, since it is lighter and cleaner rather than intense and spicy. But they all smell really good and the price point is high due to the quality of each of these fragrances. Since it is PARFUM not Eau de Toilette and remember there was no constraints while creating any of these scents, hence there are high quality notes in here and this is why it is $$$$$. They sometimes offer good deals, like right now they're offering free 10 ml with $200 dollars, which is a bargain. This ends tomorrow, I believe! This location gets pretty busy on the weekends, so you need to reserve your spot. Upon entering, we were directed to meet with our "fragrance consultant" - we were matched with Jake - and he only added to our fun experience. He took his time explaining everything and provided very clear directions on what we needed to do to create our custom fragrance. After selecting our base scent, we then picked out additional notes that were added to the base scent. There were 3 of us, and it was such a fun time - Jake has quite the personality so we were laughing and really enjoying our Sunday afternoon. Sure beats another afternoon of eating and drinking away the day. After all the scents were selected, your fragrance is sent over to the back of the store and the fragrance-makers create your speecial custom bottle and you even get to name your fragrance! So much fun. I really like my special bottle and look forward to enjoying it for days/weeks to come! The cost is about $85 for a 50ml bottle. It's great for birthdays, holidays, client outings or even if you just want to treat yourself! Have fun! If i go back, I'm going to try to go during the week when I "assume" there will be fewer people there and the noise level inside will be a little lower. It's a popular location!

Recently, I booked an appointment for a girls' evening with several friends who were traveling in from out of town. Unfortunately, their flight was canceled due to circumstances completely beyond our control. When I called, I was not asking to cancel the appointment, only to reschedule it. To my surprise, I was told that rescheduling was not an option. As a loyal customer, I expected a greater level of understanding and empathy for an unforeseen situation like this. I was committed to keeping my business with them and simply needed flexibility due to a travel disruption. Their unwillingness to work with me left me feeling undervalued as a customer. In my professional experience working with many businesses, I have seen the best customer service demonstrated when unexpected circumstances arise. Unfortunately, this experience showed a lack of customer care and consideration that I did not expect from a company I had supported and promoted for years. I will certainly miss their products, but this experience has left such a negative impression that I do not see myself returning. It's disappointing when a single interaction overshadows years of otherwise positive experiences. I hope they read this and do better with their customers. Given the current environment with flight disruptions, delays other other transporation challenges this will happen to another customer and they will continue to disappoint and tarnish their brand.

This new perfume is spicy on first sniff and this comes from the cumin as the main ingredient. Refreshments in the form of pink wine and miniature sweet tartlets greeted guests. Simona is the manager here and I knew her when she was at Abaton. Gilda also works here and she is très French. I have been wearing Frederic Malle perfumes since I was first introduced to this niche line at Barney's. Lipstick Rose and Carnal Flower and Parfum de Thérêse are my three absolute loves here. Coming to this parfumerie is always wonderful as one gets to sample all the fragrances and one can also get a customized appointment to introduce the line to those who haven't experienced this luxurious perfume line.

I'm that person that doesn't care what I wear clothes-wise. I don't focus on clothing brands or…read moretrends and I rarely spend a lot of money on myself. But I always have to wear two things: expensive lingerie and expensive fragrance. If you feel the same, you will want to hit the UES for your bedroom wear. And for scent, do yourself a favor and skip Creed, and come here. What is interesting about this place at first glance, is the way they have the perfume samples displayed. They are grouped by the usual categories, on top of a low lighted wooden display, with glass covers over the top of the bottles. The little round glasses keep the scent inside, and you smell the opening of the glass. They have spray cards too, and are generous if you'd like to sample. The unisex perfumes are a combination of perfume oil (a la Arabic style) and alcohol based (standard, French) parfum. This results in more sillage, and more tenacity. Tbh, the store can be a little overwhelming because of this, as the oud is very strong in the air of the small shop. They are pricey, and you might wait for someone online to do decants. We are talking $300s here, and the smallest is a set of 5ml for a few hundred. I think they could sell some single 5mls because you're really going to have to love the scent to buy an entire bottle. Me, I'm too fickle, and if you are the same, spray yourself or take a card to see how you wear the scent over time before you buy it. I want to mention some notables, for fellow perfumaholics. Rose scents are always too soapy for me. I rarely can find a rose perfume that is true to the flower. Their musk rose comes very, very close to smelling like an actual rose in bloom. I'd like if they could do a lilac, which always comes out like cleaning solution when a perfume house tries to recreate a lilac single note. If they've been successful with rose (personally, I think this is due to it being oil based vs alcohol), then I think they might have a go at lilac, or a violet. But who knows if these things are in style for the young ones. Most perfumes lately are more fruity than floral or spice. They have many fruity scents also, btw. Now, the piece de resistance: a scent labelled with a new category: watery. And watery it is, reminiscent of lazy summer days by a pleasant garden pond. If you could put Monet's lily pads in a bottle, I'd say this is it. Lago del Desierto. There are many sandlewood and amber perfumes in the spicy (used to be called Oriental) categories. No fougere that I saw, really unless you count the 'watery' category as under the umbrella of fougere. There are oud and cedar (woody) categories for the men, and floral and fruit for the women on the opposite side of the table, but again the new thing is unisex. Now you don't have to be defined by perfume gender, men are delicious in florals, and women are domming it up in leather scents. Go for it. One of life's pleasures is smelling nice, and smelling others who smell nice.

Staff asked me what I was looking for scent-wise, and showed me what I asked for. (I do love florals.) I was also shown the second floor which is their limited fragrances, so unavailable after the season. And when I couldn't decide between two scents, they helped me decide by determining if it was for special occasion or daily use. They also can custom make scents, which is pretty neat. I mentioned wanting jasmine, and they also showed me a pure jasmine scented oil. I just chose one of the premade perfumes. Maybe next time! They also engrave your name on the box, either English or Arabic, as a complimentary service. I will definitely be back once I need a new bottle! Outstanding customer service, very knowledgeable, and incredibly clean store.
