Stopped by Bonchon and had such a great first impression. The service was genuinely friendly and the whole place had a neighborhood vibe -- you could tell the staff know their regulars because people kept popping in just to say hello. The space is lively (a little loud), so conversations can be a bit challenging, but the energy adds to the fun atmosphere. There's plenty of parking and the restaurant has indoor dining with both booths and tables. I only tried the bao buns this visit and wow -- total flavor explosion. I ordered two and instantly wished I had ordered more. They also have a lot of drink options to choose from, which is nice. Already planning my next visit to try the chicken wings (I hear they're huge) and the dumpling soup. Looking forward to round two!

Great option for quick Korean food. We've eaten at other Bonchon restaurants in other cities, so we were so happy they had one closer. It's a small clean establishment but it's big enough for a quick bite or for take out which is what we normally do. Best to order directly from their website. Staff is always friendly and the food is ready in a decent amount of time. Ours was ready in about 15-20min. We ordered the yum drum trio ( 3 chicken drumsticks, fries and a donut), bulgogi fried rice and the bao buns ( we chose the friend chicken). Everything was very flavorful. We especially love the friend rice, it's what we get every visit). We only wish the portions were a little larger. Would recommend trying Bonchon if you have a craving for quick Korean food.

We came back tonight for the third time, unfortunately, it took about 10 minutes for somebody to come to the counter to take our order. The napkin dispenser was empty . When things like this get neglected, it doesn't bode well for a new restaurant. We ordered the bulgogi tacos, the street corn and some wings. The food was served piping hot and everything tasted great!

TL;DR: Packed even near closing, but the fried chicken was pretty good. Corn dog was underwhelming. I'd give it a 3.5, but rounding up for the crispy chicken. ------ This spot is located in a large shopping strip mall and follows a fast-casual setup where you order at the counter and seat yourself. When I came close to closing, the place was still packed. Right after we ordered, it took a few minutes to find a booth, but we eventually got one as a family was finishing up. The fried chicken was definitely the highlight. It had a super crispy skin and a satisfying crunch. The seasoning leaned a bit salty, but overall it was flavorful and well-cooked. I'd come back just for that. The Korean corn dog, however, didn't really deliver. It was smaller than I expected and felt overpriced for what it was, even though the outside had a good crunch. Overall, I'd give this place a 3.5 out of 5. I'm rounding up to 4 because the chicken was solid and worth trying, but I'd be a little more cautious about the rest of the menu.

No longer do we have to drive to k-town for Bonchon. First time at this location and will definitely be going back. Food: quality of the food was excellent. Super fresh. Service: Service was great. The young man taking my order was super patient and answered all my questions. All his recommendations were perfect Ambiance: love the ambiance with the big screen TVs playing k-pop. Love the energy of this restaurant. We will definitely be putting Bonchon on our weekly rotation =) Cheers!!

First and sadly my last time visiting Bonchon. It sucks that they have whitewashed the flavors so much just because it's located in a suburban American city. We stopped by for a late lunch and ordered the small drumsticks with yangnyeom, chicken strips with soy garlic, and tteokbokki, which totalled $43 or so. Everything came out fast which was nice. The drumsticks are HUGE. You rearely see drumsticks that size so it was nice and even the small was a good amount to share. They are fried really well and get so crispy, while the meat is juicy, so that was definitely the best part. The flavor, better than the soy garlic, was still fairly mild. You didn't get that bold, powerful flavoring like you find at most korean fried chicken spots. So that was a let down. The chicken strips were a total fail. As you can see in my picture - how are those strips? They're more like oblong chicken patties. They weren't crispy, not hot, and hardly any flavor. You had a mild scent of garlic and that's about it. The tteokbokki was very disappointing as well. It wasn't hot and the cheese wasn't even melted. There were more fishcakes than rice cakes, and the sauce was not spicy at all. It was pretty bland. And it was filled with grilled onions and peppers. The texture of the rice cakes were decent, not too chewy and had a good bite. Overally, this just isn't it and I'll stick to Koreatown for the Korean foods.

I've only ever tried this chain in San Diego a few years ago while visiting some friends. It was super good even though we only got some small bites at the time like fries and I think they're fried chicken (barely remember anymore). Our friends were also only there for the $2 Sapporo deal that they had. While trying to figure out what to have for lunch, I browsed through nearby spots and this one came up! Oddly enough, my bf and I are always in this area and didn't notice this spot till now. Luckily it was super close to Dirty Dough since we were there for a Yelp Event so it was the perfect pick up food to take home! It's in a nice place with tons of parking. We managed to park up front which had a 30 minute green zone. We walked in and were greeted by Nick who was super helpful and patient with our order since I wasn't too sure about what to eat and if the corn was a cob or cup lol. We ordered a bibimbap, street corn cup, kimchi, pickled radish, and bulgogi stir fry udon! There weren't many people at the time, maybe like two other parties. It's very bright and the walls are loud in a good way, with art. The food came out really quick and we were out there in no time! They have a nice utensil system where it's a dispenser like they have at Disneyland. Took the food home to enjoy, and honestly my favorite thing was really the kimchi and pickled radish! The kimchi wasn't spicy at all which was perfect for me, super flavorful and not "sour". The pickled radish was also milder than most places which was fantastic! Some places have really "stinky" radish but they're very good. This one didn't really smell at all and had great flavor! Overall I really enjoyed the bulgogi udon since you don't see that too often, always rice bowls or just on its own. My bf enjoyed his bibimbap as well and completely devoured it while I had the rest of mine even for dinner lol! Plenty of food to me and the street corn was absolutely delicious. We wanted to try something different that neither of us have been to. Bonchon has more selections when it comes to food compared to their competitor. Bb.q. We came here for dinner and as soon as we got there the place was somewhat empty except a table that was being occupied by a family. We ordered: Bibimbap with bulgogi - too much rice but good amount of everything else. The bulgogi was pretty good. Bulgogi tacos - perfect size and very flavorful Korean Donut - imagine a regular twisted Donut with cinnamon sugar. It was decent. Tasted better with the dip that it comes with The service was great. Price was good. Will definitely come back again to try something else.

Spicy fried chicken & soy garlic fried chicken

The young lady at the counter was very sweet & helped give recommendations. I love spicy food & the spicy fried chicken was so hot, my lips were on fire so I recommend mixing the flavors but it was really good so would get again. The soy garlic flavor was also amazing. It was clean & there is plenty of seating.

Bonchon in Korean translates to "my hometown". If you're craving K-fried chicken, check out this place in our local bonchon. The soy garlic drumsticks are my favorite. It's so huge and filling coated with sweet and savory goodness. The japchae was a good side dish but kinda pricey for the portion we got. Kimchi fried rice was good, especially after adding the fried egg on top. Don't forget the radishes for that extra crunch! Can't wait to go back for more and try the other flavors! Place was super clean and service was friendly.

The store is nicely decorated, the korean music videos were fun to watch. It's cool to see the cooks cooking your food when you're at the cashier area. The service was really good, they check up on you to make sure everything is going well. It's rare to be checked up on and taken well care of in a small restaurant that you can order to go. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND EVERYONE to come here!!! The tteokbokki, pork bao bun and fried chicken were really good. The fried chicken portion is HUGE like its worth your money paying for. Super cripsy, fresh, juicy and flavorful. I've tried other bon chons and their wings were always small and dry but this location beats all the other ones we went to. My hubby really likes the tteobokki because it's not super sweet. It was perfect! The pork belly bao bun was really fluffy and the pork belly was cooked perfectly, very addicting. Wish we can come back to and eat here everyday but we aren't from this area.

This maybe the closest Bonchon to us and so we are glad it's less than one hour drive from Ventura County. We usually order takeout and this was an easy online ordering experience. The food was ready in time for our pick up and there is as plenty of parking spaces available. The restaurant was not busy and seemed clean and a little empty. The food is as good as other Bonchons, so we were very satisfied with the quality. We notified this location offered a few Korean items that other Bonchons do not offer (ex. Korean corn dog, cheesy bulgogi rice), but glad they still offered their signature wings with Spicy and Soy Garlic sauces. In sunmary, we are very happy to find this location and will be back soon.

This place was delicious and I will definitely be coming back! We ordered 10 boneless Korean fried chicken with soy garlic and yangnyeom sauce, the Korean fried chicken sandwich, and the Korean donuts. The boneless fried chicken were great, I will definitely order more next time. The flavor and texture was perfect. The chicken sandwhich was okay, not terrible but maybe not my favorite. (We ate it quickly so forgot to take a pic) The Korean donuts were a great dessert and I may stop by for dessert sometimes. Overall, the service was very helpful as it was our first time and the food was delicious. A little expensive and can take awhile when it's busy but worth it!

Bonchon in Stevenson Ranch totally hit the spot! I got the fried chicken wings (half soy garlic, half spicy) and they were amazing -- perfectly crispy, juicy inside, and packed with flavor. The spicy has just the right amount of heat, and the soy garlic is super addictive! I also ordered the bibimbap and it was just as good very fresh & flavorful! Everything came out hot and tasted freshly made. The vibe in the restaurant is clean and casual, and the staff was super friendly, I'm definitely going weekly! Just tried it for the first time. We had bulgogi tacos, a chicken sandwich, and seasoned fries. All were a homerun. Price is reasonable as well, 30 bucks for all the above. I will definitely be back. One of the best korean fast casual dining options in the area. Staff were super cheerful and passionate about their creations, and the food was authentic! I love their signature Korean Fried Chicken the most. Drumsticks and wings were my favorite as I love their juicy dark meat better. Soy garlic is the way to go but their spicy is awesome if you're ready to spice it up. Their Tteokbokki came with bonus potstickers and their bibimbap is a healthier alternative. I also love their bulgogi fries. Goes well with beer when I get take out. Don't miss out this gem the next time you come to Magic Mountain. Bonchon is definitely a favorite of mine to go to for lunch. My absolute favorite go to is their pork belly kimchi fried rice. Make sure to add a fried egg to it. I promise, it's worth it. The soy garlic drumsticks are so good. It's really crispy. And the flavors are great! Service is great every time I've come in. And the restaurant is really nice and clean. Pretty sure this is a successful Korean fried chicken chain brought over to Santa Clarita and has only been open for a couple months. Super disappointed in this place. Quality of the chicken is terrible, all types of chicken (wings, drumsticks, strips). I picked up my order at the store 20 minutes after I placed the order online and all of the food was pretty cold. This was at 7:30 pm too, so prime time for your food to be best. Seems like the food has been sitting out for a while. Drumsticks were abnormally large and difficult to eat. 8 piece strips all looked sorry, as depicted in attached picture. I would maybe invest in some new workers to provide better quality chicken and put a better light on this place. If you know Korean fried chicken, you know this place is not it. I would recommend BBQ Chicken over this place for SCV. read more

They HAD an 8 Piece wings for $18, which is fairly expensive but fair.. now they offer a 6 Piece for $17? Store Loaction- 5 lots of parking. Inside - 5 this inlcudes ambiance. Customer Service - Awesome Super 5 ( Joon, the female crew?). Total service with a smile always. Cleanliness- 5 this includes restroom. Marketing- 4 . Here is the explanation. Yes HUGE is better. But when u market a Chicken Wings and you say "It's Huge, because they are." Given I always love to eat and so much love chicken wings(means like I always eat them coz I love 'em), first comes to my mind is the chicken had a lot of fat. It could be a layered of fat. The only downside here. I ate chicken wings everywhere (mention a competitor and Im sure I'ved been there) and here the chicken is like a foreleg of my 2 year old nephew. Huge size of chicken wings wherever you go is not good, in the chicken wings world the bigger the fatter they are and chicken wings eaters. Letvthe chicken wings be chicken wings. Korean flavor Soy chicken is a WOW and everybody needs to taste and enjoy. Just like other Yelper's sayin, Im not a looking Organic zavvy chicken wings, but your top competitor in the chicken wings world uses not a huge size of chix wings, they let the chix wings be a chix wings. Great food. The kimchi goes well with any of their fried items, from the chicken to the fries. Get a side of the kimchi regardless of what else you are ordering! Amazing food!!! Huge wings!!!! I've had some pretty measley wings at other Big Name restaurants but the size of the wings here are nice. The Drumsticks, if you order them, are HUGE!!!! Great service and such personable attention and energy from their staff. I believe Noah was his name. He was so attentive. Delivered our order to the table rather than shout our name. Would go again. I will start by saying that the service is very friendly. Very clean restaurant. But when it comes to food... I ordered the combo, which had 4 wings and 2 drumsticks. The sauce was garlic soy. And a side of regular fries. The combo came with a Cole slaw, which was only cabbage and some kind of mayo. No salt, no pepper. Just flavorless. The cook on the wings was pretty spot on, and that's about it. Those wings were more bland than a shoe. What in the world? That glaze had no garlic nor soy flavor. Again, no salt, no any kind of seasoning. My husband got the seasoned fries, which he had to pay an extra dollar for the seasoning, that was clumped up in one spot, and chunky. My fries were plain, again with no salt or pepper. Flavorless and bland food at a very high price. Just awful! read more

First time trying Bonchon and the food blew me away. Do yourself a favor and order the soy garlic wings with the addition of spicy wings and you will satisfy your hunger to the maximum degree. Thank me later. It's that good. If you desire top tier Korean chicken, then you found it. It's right here. This is definitely one of the better new restaurants that opened as of recently. Wow! Chicken wings and drumsticks were excellent! Superb customer service and atmosphere was very clean. Nice to see a new restaurant opened by and it's definitely something new and unique! Flavor of the wings for the spicy wing and soy garlic were delicious! Surprised, some people here said that their wings/chicken were bland. Definitely, not the case when I went! The wings had excellent flavor and were crunchy. The perfect balance and flavor! Bonchon definitely has my business! I always heard excellent reviews of Bonchon from different cities/states. This particular branch, Bonchon did NOT disappoint. They brought the heat with their spicy wings, soy garlic and Korean BBQ wings. Definitely a top recommendation in terms of chicken wings in the city and in the Southern California area. The service was quick, friendly, and sweet. Ambiance and atmosphere was very laid back and chill. This is the place if you want a top rated Korean fried chicken. The last few times we've eaten here have been really disappointing. The wings used to be amazing moist, flavorful, and covered in sauce. Lately though, they've been so dry with barely any sauce at all. We even leave a special request for extra sauce and it still never comes. It's honestly sad compared to how good this place was when we first started coming. The quality has dropped so much that I can't even finish eating the wings anymore. Definitely the best Korean food I've ever had! The fried chicken is perfectly crispy and the sauces are amazing. We tried a variety of dishes and they were all fantastic! Great crispy chicken with just right amount of sauce. Not too saucy. My kids absolutely LOVED simple soy garlic sauce. They make everything fresh, made to order so expect 15-20 min wait but 100% worth it. Their Korean dishes are soooo good too. Japchae portion is huge. read more
